Beers are really good here and it has a good vibe. Also pretty cheap. We had the sampler and got 8 different beers.

I don’t want to tell you about this place, for It might just be my new neighborhood spot. They’re open after 10 pm(what’s with all the breweries working kinder hours on a weekend?). It’s owner run. Their beer selection is awesome… I had the habanero red and the cocoa vanilla porter(both spot on!), and the beers my friends had were all as advertised and delightful! And then there’s «sad hour,» the happiest of hours – $ 3 a pint for delicious beer that is all over 6%abv(why go anywhere else?).

I’ve been going there for about a year. Every time I’ve been there I have gotten great service here there an excellent and the service is even great. They got some of the best hours for breweries around 2 open late I do enjoy. And they stay open on most holidays while others do close and I was very happy about that I will always be going here.

Jimmy was so bad, but in the cool sort of way. Nice little divey feel to this place. He beers had some fun flavors(e.g habanero) and the beer lineup is pretty solid. I only had a few samples since I had been sampling at another brewery earlier. What I tried was all pretty good. I will have to return another time to sample the rest of the lot. They don’t have food but have menus for food place next door(weary traveler) that will deliver to you at Bad Jimmys. Bartender was super friendly too.

Pretty awesome place. Went here on a brew tour and let me tell you these beers were freaking interesting. My favorites was the Girl Scout dropout and the blood orange wheat beer. They have a habanero beer, wasn’t my thing but fun to try nonetheless. Glad we got to visit this place, chill vibe and good beers. Loved to go back when we are in town.

Bad Jimmy’s may technically be in Fremont, but it’s still close enough to the cluster of breweries in Ballard that you should include it as part of your brewery crawl. Or you should just come to it individually, because their beer is solid. These guys make their beer interesting, and they make their beer strong. What a great combination. Last time I was in, there was a delicious offering on tap called Girl Scout Dropout, which was their take on the Samoa cookie. Who else does stuff like that?! I’m also a fan of their IPA, Chai Stout, Scotch Ale, and Blood Orange Honey Wheat. If the beer isn’t enough to draw you in, the brewery is also home to Astronomy on Tap(I think it’s once a month) and a weekly movie night. They also show sports games on their large projector. All in all, a great place to kick back and have some good beer.

I went to Bad Jimmy’s as a part of my Road Dog Brewery Tour. This was our first of three breweries and it sure set the bar pretty high! I really like the atmosphere and it has a nice outdoor patio/seating area. We tried about 5 beers – they have a lot of good beers and a lot of interesting beers! My favorite was the Girl Scout Dropout, which was a dark beer with hints of cocoa and coconut. It was like an adult Samoa. I also like their IPA – it was very aggressively IPA-like, which I know is probably polarizing. Another polarizing beer that we tried was the Habanero Amber. Boy, was it spicy! I could barely get it down without being in tears and feeling like my mouth is on fire. I can’t really speak to the service of the place, however our brewery tour guide raved about the service. He also mentioned that one of the owners(the brewery was started by a group of friends) is always in the establishment, behind the bar. Overall, I really like the vibe and I liked the beer even more! I’ll put it down as a win of a brewery in my book.

Jimmy might be bad, but Jimmy’s beer is far from bad. It’s rare that I want to try everything at a brewery, so we ended up with 5 samples. *Strawberry Mango Hefeweizen *Cherry Tart *Cocoa Vanilla Porter *Bad Razz, Raspberry Blonde *Blood Orange These were the best beers we tried in Seattle. The brewery is set up in a giant, open garage, with a small patio/deck area. The vibe is relaxed, a little«tough» as I got a biker/rocker/auto shop feel while we were here. But there’s no tough guy pretension here. The bartender was a super cool, laid back dude. I’m so glad we headed to Fremont to check out some breweries. Seems Seattle’s best ones are here!

I really like this place and probably one of my top two breweries on my visit. However, after getting our tasters, I could barely understand the guy and we could only guess which beer was what. I’ll be back someday. The beers really hit the palette well and hope they can describe the beers a bit better. The place is just loud and if a table full of people laugh together, we can’t hear a damn thing. Anyway, till next time!

Eh, not my favorite but not the worst brewery we hit up while in Seattle. I’m sure they have the potential to be good but their beer just didn’t do it for me. They had a decent selection and we just ended up getting a flight with the Blood Orange Honey Wheat, Raspberry Blonde, Girl Scout Drop Out and Big Sipper Scotch. They guy gave it to us and he was very soft spoken so I couldn’t hear him say which one was which. I thought he said the names were on the bottom but I didn’t see anything so we were flying blind. The thing that sucks is that with the wheat and blonde, I really couldn’t tell the difference. One was more tart than the other and I think I deiced that was the blood orange. The Girl Scout Drop Out was a bit lackluster for me, I was expecting it to have more carmel notes since it was their beer take on a Samoa cookie(my fave!!) There was a brewery tour group there and I heard the tour guide say that this place was founded by a group of friends and most of the time one of them are working the counter. If thats the case, I would have expected the guy to be a little friendly or give us more info about the beer.

Last stop on our cycle saloon tour and by far theeee best! Thought this place looked familiar, that’s because it’s located behind the Leary Traveler! A great place for brunch BTW :-). Cool establishment with lots of indoor as well as outdoor space. Free delicious sweet and spicy bags of chips too! Their beer are real tasty and creative. Like usual, I got 4 sample pours. Got the habanero amber, Anaheim chili lime saison, red ipa, and the bad razz raspberry blonde. Every single one was WOW! My favorite was the habanero Amber for sure! The flavor was amazing and it had a very intriguing kick to it. The razz blonde was a tad sweet but not too sweet. I definitely want to come back to try the rest of their beers, and I will definitely be back to drink more of that habanero Amber.

This was our 3rd stop on our self-guided brewery tour, and we didn’t want to leave. The Bad Razz Blonde was my favorite, but we did a sampler and they were all worth a try. I find some of these negative reviews funny… don’t order the cherry tart if you don’t like cherry tart, but I found it to be balanced and delicious! And as for food and service… this is a brewery. Go to a restaurant if you’re looking for that. That being said, there are a ton of food trucks and delivery services available nearby and you can eat it there! Talked to a few of the brewers, down to earth and totally friendly. Great little spot at the bar perfect for catching whatever game is on. We can’t wait to go back.

Don’t order the cherry tart. I couldn’t even finish it. Most other beers are pretty good! I like the ambiance!

I love the beer here, I recommend getting a sampler of 4 to try different beers. I love the blood orange hef or the habanero beer they have. But also the girl scot on tap is another great choice. I highly recommend, especially stopping by on a warm seattle day.

All their beers were super. The habanero spicy beer was really good and I’d consider any spicy beer that doesn’t give me heartburn a success. I think I got the Cascadian dark ale and it was awesome. I really like how in Washington, it’s not ‘black IPA’ it’s Cascadian dark. Their IPA was smooth and super drinkable. I’d be here all the time if I lived nearby!

My friend and I were in Seattle for a long weekend and created our own Brewing Hop out of the Breweries in Ballard. Out of the 7 we hit up Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Co. was our favorite. After sampling a few of there beers we feel in love with the Habanero Amber. We should of gotten some to go it was so good we attempted to come back the next day but it just didn’t end up work out :(but if we end up back in Seattle we will defiantly be coming back to Bad Jimmy’s hopefully the Habanero Amber is a regular there cause it really is amazing. The brewery itself had a nice tasting room. There were decent amount of bathrooms that were all very clean. The deck outside was very nice and you were able to get food from near by restaurants to eat a the brewery. But they did have some chip and water available. Seattle has a lot of drinkable beer but the Habanero Amber was really the only one that stuck out as amazing.

Another crafty beer place in a cool gutted out garage space. This place filled up really quick after work hours! But a nice place to hang out for a couple brews. Definitely a nice interior, not made for tons of people(which is a good thing ultimately), and the guys behind the counter are super friendly. They’ve got quite a selection of brews to choose from. Even a habanero one. What? What the? Since I scorched off my tastebuds long ago, I don’t know if it’s actually supposed to be spicy or just have that habanero flavor to it. When I asked dude about it, he said they did tone it down from the original recipe but it’s really only meant to have a bit of that habanero flavor. It’s quite good! Just waiting for someone to make a Sriracha beer, but someone probably already has. Stupid hipsters.

Dog friendly, baby friendly, asian friendly. I was very confused in the bathroom because there is a shower in there, no urinal. There were some fools playing dominoes and this one fool was playing for the other guys team. It would be 3.5 because the beer is a bit weak, but I’m feeling charitable. There is a bird here that some guy is picking up chicks with. So there’s that, it just shit on the floor. Don’t catch parvo

There’s a large # of breweries in Ballard and this is on my list of the top 3. It’s got a relaxing atmosphere with bar, tables and outside beer garden with a couple of LCD televisions to boot. The staff is very friendly and this is pretty eclectic and quirky where you can do some people watching, sports watching and beer drinking at the same time. The beer is pretty solid and they have a diversity of beers for every taste. I like the IPA and it’s one that’s not too high octane so you can drink 3 – 4. I like this place and it’s on my list.
