History

Established in 1987.

Mr. Burton started his own company to bring old fashion values, combined with modern technologies to prospective clientele, ranging from personal home owners, custom home builders, residential & commercial contractors. Mr. Burton developed the insulation division of his company due to the vast number of calls from clients with rodents, live animals, bats & even birds getting into their home and ruining their insulation in the crawl spaces and attics of homes and businesses.

His company has grown over the years to include many happy home owners with insulation remodels of additions & bonus rooms, to that of contractors working on custom homes, & larger projects such as; town homes & condominiums, metal warehouse buildings, & tract home subdivisions.

Ben Burton is the vice president of Arrow Insulation. Having attended Skagit Valley Community College, Ben started working with Arrow Pest Control in 1999. Working in this family business from the ground up, Ben was certified as a licensed home inspector with WSDA and a Level One thermographer. Under Ben’s leadership, Arrow Insulation has grown from 2 employees doing $ 30,000 a year in revenue to over 40 employees doing more than $ 3 million a year in revenue. Arrow Insulation provides retrofit and new construction insulation services to Western Washington. Arrow Insulation formally incorporated in 2011. Ben is BPI certified, certified to provide weatherization treatment services within single and multifamily properties, is Duct Seal Ninja and Lead Safety certified and is PCS certified as well as Arrow Master certified. These guys were the lowest of five apples-​to-​apples insulation quotes I solicited, both the estimator and the installer were very competent and sharp, noticing and handling problems with our ducting (way out of the scope) that other companies hadn’t even seen. They did the work exactly on the day and times they said they would, cost as much as they quoted, and required no more communication than necessary. Hands down, I would refer them to any of my friends as a ‘look no further’ kinda schtick.

Got a free PSE energy assessment and was referred to these guys.
I was expecting someone to show up, give the house a once-​over and provide me some general tips, which is all I was looking for.
But Josh came out and was incredibly thorough, getting into all the crawlspaces (and really getting into all the nooks and crannies), checking fixtures, looking behind light panels, venting fans, ducts etc etc and explaining what he was doing as he went– what impressed me was that he didn’t just gloss over anything and really gave me a good understanding of how insulation and heating work in my house.
No sales pitch, just a very good education on how it works. When I got a quote on how to upgrade the insulation, it was also pretty transparent, with it all broken down– Josh was very straightforward about which to prioritize and where to save money… so definitely will be using them for our upgrades soon.

Excellent from start to finish. Prices were very reasonable. Martin, who scheduled the bid and project was very professional, on time, and helpful, The crew was clean and efficient. We’re very happy the job they did. We had our entire attic insulated with blown-​in insulation to bring up to code. I would highly recommend them and look forward to using them in the future!

I recently purchased a home and started with some renovation projects; one of which was an attic insulation project. We requested several estimates and arrow was one of the most reasonable. The guys came on time and were diligent in cleaning up their mess. They stayed late to finish the project. As a homeowner, I was completely satisfied and will ask them to come out to do a basement insulation at a later date. Overall, they were reasonable, thorough and trustworthy. They also handled a pse rebate for us.

I had a great experience with this company. As a newer homeowner, I was appalled to learn my 1960s house was built without wall insulation (I didn’t even know that was a possibility). Josh came out and thoroughly explained which products can be used and the pros and cons of each. He even offered to take a look at our crawl space, which is a very tight fit and a pretty unpleasant place to be. He put on his plastic suit however and gave us some useful information after inspecting it. Their quote came in hundreds of dollars cheaper than our other quotes. The workers who filled the walls did their best to clean up after themselves as they went, but there were small piles here and there that we had to take care of after they left. Unfortunately, one of the pieces of siding they removed somehow broke and will no longer stay in place (I’ll end up replacing it eventually). They did some work for a family member of mine recently at my recommendation, and I will continue to recommend them to others.

Josh came out and took the time to explain and educate then he came out again to reassess and I really felt he was honest and unlike others companies he wasn’t just trying to make work to do that didn’t need to be done. So he saved me money with a focused approach to improving my basement insulation and limiting air leaks. The workers who came were hard working pros who were very thorough and willing to go the extra mile to seal everything in their sight. Thanks for the help will recommend to others readily.
The only thing that this company needs more of is it seems there is only one thermal imaging camera which I would have appreciated them using to diagnose the problem areas during the assessment but I guess that is what the city of seattle’s home energy audit is for.

I had recently had an energy audit that revealed that my attic was under insulated and in need of air sealing and baffling. I also wanted to dense pack the floor above the garage. The company that did the audit gave me a quote for the work and I thought it was way too high.
I started searching around for insulation companies and came across Arrow on Angie’s list as having a good reputation.
Karl came to my house a day or so later and I told him the results of the audit and the suggested work. After reviewing that and taking some measurements around the house, he went to his car and came back shortly with a full estimate. He must have a printer in the car. The estimate listed the work to be done by line item and also had all of my eligible discounts from PSE broken out.
Needless to say, Arrow’s bid was significantly less than the earlier one. I did get one other bid. Arrow was still the lowest price and that coupled with the good Angie’s list rating sealed the deal.
They were able to get a crew to come and do the work early the following week. The first crew showed up almost exactly to the minute when they said they would and immediately got to work in the garage. The second crew arrived shortly thereafter and got started in the attic.
The process took the better part of the day. They laid down protective plastic in all of the areas of the house that they worked in and were courteous and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I’m quite happy with the work they did.
Kim gave me a call today to follow up and make sure everything was okay.
I’d recommend Arrow. The whole experience was drama free and I think I got a good value and made an investment in my home that will save energy and keep me warmer to boot!
