Established in 2007.

We are a forward thinking company with a rich collection of services and abilities. We brought our skills to the bench and bought the tools of today. We are a locally run/​owned business that has local neighbors in mind when servicing our customers and their watches. Most of our displays are reused from other local entities and we recycle more than 90% of the waste we generate as a company. We participate in several local charities and look to purchase and hire locally every chance we get.

We carry parts ordered here (seattle) and portland, we order bands hand made in the usa, we even offer items from local artisans.

I have been a customer for a few years and each time I need some type of service the folks at Arc have been fantastic! I get watch batteries and a new strap from time to time but the big deal about this place is their clock repair. I have an antique mantle clock, very old and touchy, and they have repaired it and brought it back to great working order. Even though there have been issues with the clock, they keep honoring their warranty and repairing it if it needs it. I have worked with most of the employees and they are always friendly and courteous no matter what. It’s really nice to have this old-​fashioned kind of service available and I’d recommend them to anyone!

I brought in my grandfather’s antique Girard Perregaux watch for repair, and the shop handled it with great care and skill. What’s more, after the initial repair, it was clear that the watch still needed some tweaking, and the shop worked tirelessly, over many months, to make sure my watch was in perfect working order. I will say that the service was not exactly speedy, but I don’t think you can expect speedy service when dealing with mechanical, vintage timepieces. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, accommodating, and honest (which was not the case with some other watch places I contacted, who came off as haughty and condescending). I would definitely recommend them for any watch repair or service you might need.

This place is hands down one of the best shops there are, including the Bellevue shop with the owner Chris. Kennan took care of me several times over and has continued to show much compassion and respect for my needs and with haste. I would suggest this place to anyone from simple watch knowledge to quality repair on my most prized possessions. Went to look for Seiko 5 watches since they are only sold at smaller stores not chains. After reading all the negative reviews I was worried but found them to be very helpful, professional and very nice to deal with. Ended up buying 2 watches from them and trading in an old watch and got the one watch I have been looking for for a few years now.
I think they went well beyond the service I was expecting and I will be back to expand my collection. If you want old school service I would highly recommend going here.

Great service, 2 days in a row!
I initially came in to get my watch band adjusted. The person helping me took his time making sure that the watch was a great fit, even going the extra mile to take out an extra link just in case, and replacing it without complaint when it turned out that he’d had it right the first time around. It took 15 minutes & $ 10, with a one year guarantee on re-​sizing.
THEN, I realized that although my new watch fit me perfectly, it wasn’t working! So I brought it back in the following day to get a battery. Keenan, the Manager, helped me out this time and with a smile and great service, had my watch working in no time. Again, a 1 year guarantee accompanied the battery.
No complaints to report — I would recommend Arc Watch Works & Engraving without hesitation and will surely be back there again with my other time pieces in the future!

I had my watch band adjusted by taking out a few links by Keenan (I think), and he was great, very friendly customer service and the price was only $ 10! Everywhere else quoted me $ 15 or more.
I’d been meaning to have the band adjusted for a while and I’m glad I finally had it done here.

Beware of getting completely ripped off by this pretentious place!
I brought my Michael Kors watch here to get a simple battery replacement for $ 35. When I came back to pick it up, the woman told me that they were able to replace the battery, but that the watch still wasn’t working after replacement, and she recommended replacing the movement, which would cost an additional $ 50. I asked her to just give the watch back without the new battery and didn’t get charged for any service. I then brought my watch over to Ben Bridge, who charged $ 25 for a battery replacement with the watch working just fine after replacement. I couldn’t believe that Arc was looking to take advantage of me like that! I would not recommend this place after this experience.

Absolutely awesome place. They engraved a clock for me swiftly for an amazing price. i was afraid I wouldn’t find a good last minute birthday present for my dad but they saved me. The clock looked great and they really know their stuff. I’ll definitely go back!

If you want anything more complicated than a simple battery replacement, or if your watch is of any value, don’t go here. Two weeks ago I dropped off a Black Hills Gold watch that needed the internal mechanism and the crystal face replaced, as well as a new battery. I was assured they could do what I needed, and they would contact me, probably within a week or less, when it was finished. They never called so today I went in to check on the status. The watch was in pieces and the man who assembled it as I waited said, «we didn’t know how to replace the face so we just left it». Except that they hadn’t «just left it» someone clearly tried to pry off the crystal face, and in the process scraped the side and the black adhesive that holds the crystal in place. So not only did they not call, they damaged my watch. Now it is scraped up and the crystal face is mangled. I’ll have to take it somewhere else to try and fix this

I came in here to purchase a band for my boyfriend’s watch, as gift. He doesn’t have a decent band for his Victorinox Swiss Arm watch. They asked me if I knew the size. I didn’t. The guy said, «Yeah, we can’t do anything if you don’t know the size it could be any size.» and it was just his tone and his hurried rush to get me out the door. I worked in customer service for 12 years, I know proper tone and way to be help a customer and his was dismissive and rude.
I really wanted to purchase a gift for my boyfriend (birthday was the next day) so asked about exchanges if I got the wrong size. So, we could come back. The guy kept suggesting I go measure the strap and come back. I’ve never been told to leave so many different ways in answers to each of my pleading «can ya help a gal out?» suggestions.
I was disappointed because I knew they had a pricier band my boyfriend wanted that he had looked at when he got his watch repaired at this very store, but the clerk was really rude and curt and honestly made me feel as if I was giving off the impression I hadn’t showered and made $ 0 money and therefore didn’t deserve their service.
I’m a software developer… of COURSE I look like I don’t make any money. I only dress up for clients and networking events, or before I go see my boyfriend… not watch band purchases. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover and all that jeez.
His dismissal left me more annoyed than I usually get. I sat in the parking lot and googled my boyfriend’s watch (Which I likely would’ve thought to do in this store had I not felt like I was being pushed out) and found the strap size. I was too mad to go back into this watch store.
I walked back in the mall, bought a watch band from Ben Bridge, and even though it wasn’t as nice/​pricier as I was looking for, for the occasion, the rep treated me like I had just spent $ 1000, put the band in a super sweet gift box and let me know if he didn’t like it they had a 90 day exchange policy and we could get something else.
Was that so hard?

Be careful! If your watch is not the most high tech and expensive one you could be humiliated in front of other customers. I bought a Timex from Target that the band needed to be adjusted, then I brought to this place. They weren’t able to do the job and I needed to hear from one «it is an inexpensive band so this could happen» and after saying this he looks his coworker with a sarcastic smile! The store has the same watch and a lot of Timex in front with the triple of the price. I left very disappointed not because I didn’t have my watch fixed but because you don’t expect to be treated with no respect. I hope that they could change their behavior.

I have now been here twice and had an amazing experience. The first time I bought a watch from them and they were very accommodating and understanding as I had been having a very stressful night. They have great advice and I got the watch engraved with a note special for my fathers 60th birthday that he loved and look beautiful. I returned to get 2 champagne glasses engraved for my best friends wedding with a design I created myself. It looked exactly how I wanted it to and will be perfect for their wedding day! Both times were cost efficient and VERY time efficient. 2 days tops it was ready. I HIGHLY recommended this place!

I’ve been taking my watch here for several years, whenever it was time for a new battery, and they’ve always taken good care of me and my watch. This year I made the mistake of taking my watch somewhere else, then noticed a couple of days later that it had stopped again. Took it to these guys, and the fixed the stuff the other guy had broken, and made it work again.

My battery had died and the previous shop I’d taken it to was unable to get to screws out to replace it. When I came to Arc, they replaced the battery and cleaned it beautifully.
Fast forward to about 8 months later, when after four years my bezel had fallen out. I brought it to Arc because they’d done such a great job, and well this time they didn’t. Whoever glued the bezel not only glued it upside down and not fitted in (wasn’t smooth all around) but they also glued the the piece on top so that it no longer rotated around. And lo and behold, a week later the bezel fell out. Needless to say, I’m going back to get a refund.

I originally brought my watch with to have a marker reattached. The staff were friendly and the price to get it fixed was fairly cheap, so I thought it was a good option. It look much longer than they said it would to make such a simple repair and took me having to go check on it multiple times to see if it was done. When I was finally able to pick it up, they said that they reattached all the markers for me (great!) but that my watch had stopped working during the repair, so they put in a whole new mechanism at no extra cost. I was fine with that, as a long as it was working, and they gave me a receipt for a one year warranty.
Thank goodness I kept the receipt because about one day later my watch stopped working (hands stopped moving). I took it in and they said they’d take a look at it and call me soon. Four days later, when I still hadn’t heard anything, I went back and it was just sitting on a table, apparently done. I asked about it and they said, with a bit of an attitude, that it had been working just fine. When I probed more (since when I dropped it off it wasn’t moving) they said they replaced the battery.
It worked fine for a few more days and now it isn’t keeping time and I have to reset the time about every hour. I don’t plan on taking it back to them.

Visitng Arc, they were my second attempt at finding a decent watch servicer.
While the customer service is fine, I’m not having good luck with repair and batteries. I’ve taken in 3 watches for new batteries, two of which needed new batteries within a year. Of course, I have to cover the cost of replacement, because I was told I had to keep my receipt in order to get if replaced for free. That’s a tough thing to keep on file for a few years.
Also, with one watch they serviced, the knob feel right out within a week of service.
I will be continuing my search for a solid watch repair.

Rude, rude, rude!
My boyfriend needed a battery replaced in his watch and when we informed the clerk of the brand of the watch, he scoffed at us. Apparently they’re not interested in your business unless you have a high-​end watch that is worthy of their precious time.
Not to mention that the battery was overpriced! We bought one at radioshack for 50% of what they wanted to charge, and the service was much friendlier.
Beware, peasant watch-​owners! You are not welcome here!

I recently had an issue with my Nixon 51 – 30 Chrono High-​Polish, the minute hand became unsettled. Having brought the same watch in for a battery replacement, I returned to have the minute had reset.
When I brought the watch in, I was quoted $ 35 to fix the minute hand. When I came to pick it up, the actual price was actually lower than the quote.
But the real reason I am submitting a review is because of the polish job that I opted for. Having my Nixon 51 – 30 for 5 years, wearing it practically every day in every condition (I’ve surfed with it quite a bit), there were many deep scratches. On this high polish watch, the scratches were quite noticeable.
When the polish was finished, I received a phone call from Arc Watch Works & Engraving saying how excited they were about the polish job. When I came to pick it up, every scratch was gone and even the case and numbers on the face looked brand new! Mick did an amazing job and dedicated a whole day to the task of removing the deep scratches.
I highly recommend Arc Watch Works & Engraving for all your watch needs, and no doubt will bring back my 51 – 30 for it’s next polish!
