All-Star Auto Glass

I made an appointment at Allstar because they were recommended by a local mechanic and they could get me in the soonest for a windshield replacement. The receptionist who checked me in was polite and helpful but it wasn’t until after I was checked in that they explained it would be a full two hours to wait. Another customer who came in 30 minutes after me somehow got her windshield done faster, and when I asked a new receptionist she explained that it takes an hour for repair and a full hour to «cure,» a detail they had not explained previously. She was rude and condescending and I find myself writing this mediocre review as I wait the last half hour here. They need better communication. I’m sure they do a fine job otherwise.

I just learned terminology for the auto glass business. «Clam Shell.» A Clam Shell is a windshield that is damaged during handling. You should not install a windshield with a Clam Shell, as it will crack and run. I am now replacing my windshield with a Clam Shell via my new friends at Safelight. Do not trust Allstar Auto Glass as they will install a windshield with a Clam Shell, and hope you will never notice. Thanks, Allstar Auto Glass for a very expensive lesson in auto glass professionalism. Oh by the way. My cracked window is really clean from the free car washes!

I was highly impressed with All-Star’s customer service. I emailed yesterday about having a chip repaired and they replied within minutes, telling me to come in at my convenience. I dropped by today around lunchtime and they took my car back within minutes of me arriving. I was in and out within 30 minutes.
While I was waiting, I overhead another customer being helped and it appeared the employee had gone above and beyond to fix a difficult problem. The two employees manning the desk were very courteous and helpful to everyone they spoke to on the phone.
I would absolutely recommend All-​Star and while I hope to not need their services again, I would go back in a heartbeat.

It’s the worst way to end a holiday weekend when you arrive home to your broken-​in car with three windows broken. Luckily I called All Star who helped get the parts, deal with insurance and fix my car windows the next day. The staff was super helpful and made sure I was 100% happy with the quality during and after my visit. I would definitely return to All Star for my auto glass needs. Thank you.

Hmm not sure about all the mixed reviews for this place, but All Star was great to me. I came out to my car with a smashed rear view window due to a stray rock. I had to head off to work but informed my dad on the problem, this all happened on Saturday night. My dad, in california, was able to contact All Star and they took care of everything for me, despite being unable to meet them in person beforehand. Many places were closed on Sunday and Monday (due to labor day). Not only was All star to be open, but they promptly plased the order for my window (to arrive for my appoitnment the next day), cleaned up the broken glass, and gave me a great estimate for the cost of the repair ($ 380ish), compared to prices well above $ 500 i was getting elsewhere.
Everything was finished in the time promised, and I had a great experience!

I filled out the customer appointment form at 6:50 in the morning when my car was broken into the night before. And I had an email minutes later. By 7:00 a.m. I had an appointment for 9:00 a.m.
This was the second time my window has been broken. And All-​Star was cheaper, faster, and easier to work with than other places around town. They even vaccumed my car completely; the other place did not do that. I highly recommend.

Called All Star after a broken windshield. They came right on time, the gentleman who came to fix the windshield was so professional. It was done quickly and he even cleaned up the mess after. I got free brown bear coupons for a car wash too! I just googled «windshield repair» and tried them with no recommendations and couldn’t be happier! They were fantastic!!!

It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get this company to perform the repairs that they claimed they would. I have now been there three times for the same issue and it still is not fixed. The first two times they claimed that they fixed my window when they didn’t. The second time I was there they parked my car under a tree and when I returned my car was covered in bird feces. The third time they made me wait for two hours before they realized they had ordered the wrong part. They’ve wasted my time, my money, and left my car in disrepair, which is costing me a lot of money because I drive for Lyft for a living. If you need auto glass repair, I would recommend going anywhere besides All-​Star. It is unimaginable that any other company is any where near as inept as they are.

Got my rock chip repaired here two days ago. I can’t say it looks any better than it did when it first happened. Don’t waste your time even coming here like I did

I called them on Monday morning to fix my broken windshield. They scheduled to come on Tuesday and a friend met them for me. Then, I was called at work and told that they had to move my car because they couldn’t fix it on the street it was parked on. No one asked where my car was parked when I scheduled the appointment or mentioned anything about where it needed to be to be fixed. So now I had a stranger driving my car with a shattered windshield around the block to a street he thought was better. After the work was done, my friend tried to pay with the cash I left him, only to be told that he had to have exact change to pay in cash. Would have been helpful if I was told that over the phone when I clearly answered three times that I would be paying in cash.
Then, the clean up… He vacuumed up the broken glass, mostly, and also mentioned that I should be careful when I turn on my vents because there would be broken glass in the ducts that they couldn’t fully get out. Of course, I turn on my car and the guy had left my vents on full blast so glass flew out all over my car and me. Maybe I should have checked the vent setting, but it also seems like maybe he could have turned them off since he was driving my car around.
In the end, my windshield was fixed, my friend payed for it on his card, and I have a car I can drive tomorrow. Hopefully I won’t need glass repair again anytime soon, but if I do, I might give somewhere else a try.

I never thought I’d live the day to write a positive review about an auto service but this was amazing. Some jerk face keeps busting in to cars downtown and not stealing anything inside. These guys came to my work parking lot, replaced the window that day in like an hour, perfectly vacuumed up all shards of glass and did so in a cost that was lower than the consensus online. They also communicated well by phone as the service was happening and did the service without getting payment first. Unfortunately, I will probably have to use them again given the state of things in Seattle.

A friend referred me to this company. Getting a windshield replaced is a little nerve racking. These guys are friendly and punctual. The quality of glass is flawless. I will definitely use this company in the future. (just hopefully not to soon) :-)

Couldnt be happier with Allstar. Helen was a pro at the front desk. And Izzy is literally a genius.
My passenger window stopped working with the glass down. His troubleshooting skills were spot on. He never gave up, he actually opened up the cheap drivers side plastic switch assembly and figured out a metal pin wasnt making contact. A lesser technician would have just sent me away saying I needed to order a new switch. Love these guys.

Woke up this morning to the lovely sight of glass on my passenger’s seat (and…well, kind of everywhere), as well as all of the papers in my glove box and center console all over the place, and for some reason, the Wendy’s cup filled with water moved from the cupholder in my door cupholder to the center console cupholder (oh and a Jacket gone… but that was it).
A quick call to one vendor I found resulted in a hangup only after a «48-​hour» fix promise. Fully pissed off, I searched on google, found All-​Star, and called them — 4 stars cause their site isn’t mobile friendly and was really hard to click on the number and address (had to type both in). They had me in by 9am and out by 10am with a brand new window and an interior (and much-​needed) vacuum and wash to boot.
The part was expensive, but I think that’s Subaru’s fault — it was $ 50 for labor, so good work, I guess? Didn’t seem too bad, especially since they saved me about 1 hour worth of cleaning my car.

I am sorry to state that I still can’t give this place a good review. After talking to the manager there, he stated that since I didn’t want to give them a try the 3^rd time to come out, that to make sure (and he said if 5 times) to tell Safelight that the windshield bracket was square.
I did this, and guess what? Safelight showed up with the WRONG WINDSHIELD. I can’t blame them but I blame this place because I had to take another day off (4 days now) because they had to come out with the right windshield.
It really should not take 4 days of vacation time to replace one windshield. To be given the run around like this from a service really is not cool. Personally I would not use them.

I have updated this review to reflect an additional STAR. I received a call today from the manager, Tom. He was very professional, apologetic and validated my experience. I appreciated the call.

Xmas eve brought the gift of our car window broken for us. Fist thing on the 26^th they were able to get me in and swap out my window. Friendly team and quick service. I was out the door in just over an hour.

They made a house call to replace a rear windshield. Guy came out, replaced the windshield but broke spoiler and light. After a bunch of discussion they agreed to send someone out to fix the spoiler instead of requiring that I bring the car in to Issaquah. They waived the mobile fee I shouldn’t have owed in the first place on the spoiler fix to cover the cost of the light.
If a business does damage I expect them to fix it at their expense and at my convenience. Not to start negotiating about it. The car still has a busted light.
Tldr; they didn’t make good on the damage their installer caused. And what they did took pulling teeth and a lot of time.

Having possibly one of the worst car related experiences I have ever had. My window was broken into. All Star was recommended to me by a dealership that I run digital marketing for. I called, gave them all my info and they scheduled an appointment come to me and get my window replaced the next day. Great! But then it all went downhill.
They called back later and told me they didn’t actually have the glass and they would call me when they get it in. Over a week went by and no call. I finally called them back and they said they did have it in even though they didn’t call! They scheduled an appointment for the next day. The guy shows up and… wait for it… they have the wrong glass!!! I blocked out a 4 hour chunk of my day to wait for them to come and they didn’t even have the right glass.
Then they tell me that they have to order the glass in. Ok fine. A day later, that gets taken care of. Then they tell me I have to come down to their shop to get it replaced which is 45 minutes away!!! I get there and then they tell me it will take 2 hours!!! Wtf?!
Based on how much time they have wasted and how much I charge my clients per hour, they have wasted over $ 1,000 of my time. I will *not* be coming back here and I will be relaying this to the dealership.

What’s up with Seattle and windshield damage from rock chips? I went my entire life (up until a few years ago) in Los Angeles without anything happening like this. I move up to Seattle, and BAM, tons of rock chips.
I just bought a new car, and less than a month into ownership, I got a quarter-​size rock chip while driving to work in Bellevue. I bought a Groupon for All-​Star Auto Glass ($ 35 for any 1 rock chip repair — a $ 70 value). I was pleased with the convenience of booking online, as well as communicating via email to determine when a technician would be out to repair the chip (yes, they will come to your home, office, etc. — but within a timeframe — if you want a specific time, you have to make a reservation on site).
A technician (Drew) was out the very next day and earlier than expected! The entire process took 20 minutes or less, and while it didn’t completely erase the chip, Drew did a good job of filling it with resin and making it less noticeable. The poor guy even sliced open his finger on a razor blade and kept working! For that reason alone, I am giving this review 4 stars. (Can’t give it 5 because I feel $ 70 is a hefty fee or something that doesn’t «fix» the problem.)
I would definitely recommend All-​Star because of the ease of convenience, but I definitely wouldn’t do it without a discount!
