I am going to have so much more to post after our upcoming April wedding. But in the meantime there are things that have to be stated about this amazing women.
From the beginning Megan has been one of the most reassuring and comforting things about wedding planning. If not the only thing at times.
Megan paid for herself at our very first meeting with our location and catering vendor. She saw something in the signed contract that entailed us to a better food package. Not just better food selections but more of it. When the vendor said it was a typo and they would fix it she said ‘nope this is the contract that you had them sign. Typo or not you need to stick to this, they are entitled to this food at this price.’ At that point in wedding planning i was so beyond exhausted i absolutely would have just rolled over and let the vendor adjust the signed contract. She stuck to her guns and we get the benefit of it. Woo Hoo
We have the Week of Package, which really means that she takes over several weeks out. Following up with our vendors and asking me questions about details I never would have considered. Megan as been available for all of the silly questions and concerns that we have had and is prompt in her email response. She is able to offer suggestions on everything, babysitters in the area, the best time to call it a night, how to get Dicks Cheese Burgers to your wedding reception and everything in between.
Megan is so friendly and easy to work with, she is prompt and organized. You just want to be her friend. I can not imagine getting through this wedding process without her, and its not even over yet.

Megan is incredible! The minute we met her, we knew she was who we wanted to work with. It’s really hard to describe her style other than to say she puts her heart into her work. She is wicked fun and incredibly well connected to any vendor you can imagine! We needed lots of help and advice, and Megan steered us in the perfect direction every time. After our ceremony, several guests approached us asking who helped us plan the wedding and 100% of the feedback was beyond positive! If you’re looking for someone to take care of your event, Megan’s your girl! Worth every penny and then some!

We hired Megan to coordinate our wedding weekend and it was the best decision we made about our wedding. We went with all the bells and whistles on her full-​service package and the amount of stress and time it saved us was invaluable. From the beginning, she helped us manage our budget expectations, helped us book vendors, researched venues for our THREE wedding events (dinner, wedding, brunch), and kept everything on track and sailing smooth the entire time. She really showed her worth the week of the wedding, coordinating last minute changes, making sure our vendors stayed up to date, putting out a few unexpected fires (which I’m sure are common in every wedding) and making sure my fiancé and I were feeling at ease and stress free all the while. On the day of the events, she and Kate were a Godsend. She kept our parents out of our hair, our vendors in line, and our expectations manage/​met. She was very communicative throughout the evening so we always knew what was going on but never had to think about it. Do yourself a favor and hire her — all the bells and whistles included! You’ll be glad you did!

I worked with Megan for my wedding. She was such a life saver! I really couldn’t have done it without her; or if I did, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to enjoy my wedding day! Megan is a total super star! My partner and I contacted Megan just months before our wedding date. We gave her a super tight window, for a destination wedding, and she exceeded our expectation. Megan gets in the game with her clients. She was totally imbedded with us and our family to ensure every detail was set all weekend. This was a destination wedding in Napa/​Sonoma, so we were working with unfamiliar vendors and a venue we had selected that was logistically tough to get to. Megan and her team truly made magic happen. Her combination of creativity and tenacity is incredibly special and valuable. I can’t recommend A Kurant event enough and plan to!

Megan Keller is the bees knees. She was the only wedding planner I interviewed because there was no need to look elsewhere. She is laid back, friendly, easy to work with, and has great ideas to make your vision happen. I worked with her as our day-​of coordinator, but that really meant month-​of, because at the one month mark I met with her to hand off all the details (vendors, contracts, etc) and she took the reins.
She is a really creative person, so early on I asked for a one-​hour consultation to help me select rental items, which was so much more than I expected. She met me at Pedersons Showroom and mocked up example table settings, offered her expertise on how much to order, what to order for the other vendors I was working with, and where to save money, and also put together the entire order for me. I am not a very visual person so I had only a vague vision of what everything would look like on the day-​of, and was so beyond impressed when I saw how Megan made everything look so beautiful and organized from the dinner tables, to the dessert station, to the guestbook table, etc.
And most importantly, Megan made everyone in our wedding party feel at ease. She has a superpower that I can only describe as super-chill-yet-gets-sh**-done, so you always feel relaxed and that you’re in good hands. She was so great that even other vendors at the wedding told me how much they liked working with her. I highly recommend Megan Keller.

I have to thank the fine people of Unilocal for guiding me to Megan and A Kurant Event in the first place – and what better way to do that than by writing a glowing review of my own?
Megan is like the mullet of wedding planners – HEAR ME OUT. When dealing with vendors (navigating payment and negotiating potentially awkward interactions like the rare complaints we had to make), paying attention to detail, and generally getting $#*% done, she is all business. A force to be reckoned with. She skillfully handled our thousands of questions with patience and clarity, connecting us with all the right people at all the right times. She took the utterly nonsensical things we said about what we were looking for in a venue or photographer, for example, and translated them into perfect matches. We would have been absolutely lost without her.
But let’s not forget about the back of the mullet: the party. Not only did Megan help us plan a great party for our guests, with the ideal mix of fancy and fun, but working with her really felt like a party in itself. Because she made us feel so confident in her ability to maintain laser focus and get stuff taken care of, we were able to chill out and enjoy her delightful sense of humor and wit. This made our meetings more fun, yes, but it also served a second purpose: because we were comfy and relaxed, she was able to get to know us more, which helped her come up with even more fun ideas that perfectly suited us, and which we never would have come up with on our own. Our guests said again and again how we shone through at our wedding, which was all we ever wanted. You can tell that she tailors not only the events she plans, but even her approach to the planning process itself, to every couple she works with.
While I am very happy with the outcome of the wedding (um, being married to my husband), I am pretty glad that I won’t have to go through the process of planning it again. The one exception to that is working with Megan – I would do it again in a heartbeat! I feel the same way I did when I had just finished Breaking Bad and my friend was just starting episode one: I’m totally jealous of all the time they are about to spend doing something I enjoyed so much.
In conclusion, if you’re planning a wedding in the Seattle area, make the choice you would never make at in the stylist’s chair, and go for the mullet!

How to start my immense praise for Megan?
My husband and I hired Megan early on in our planning process, about a year beforehand. She was the first wedding planner we met, and the last. She came into the first meeting prepared yet wonderfully personable and friendly. We hired her immediately and throughout 9 months before the wedding, we would meet occasionally to go over some things and start planning. Each time we met I felt like I was going to hang out with my best friend and plan my wedding but with someone way more «in the know» and prepared than my actual best friend. Megan made wedding planning fun which is a hard thing to do when you’re trying to appease your husband’s incredibly large family.
The last three months we saw Megan more often and she made life so incredibly easy, she gave us advice and pep talks throughout the crazy hectic moments that are wedding planning. The days leading up to our wedding were stressful because we worried about the weather (we had an outdoor wedding at Ray’s Boathouse), Megan gave us options and reminded us how erratic Seattle weather was, and we went without the tent and low and behold, it was a beautiful, sunny day! Finally, our wedding day was here and I was running around, and Megan kept things calm and cool and the whole day was seamless. Everything looked absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t imagine my wedding day any more special, and I give immense kudos to Megan. She not only was our wedding planner, but has definitely turned into a great friend!
If you’re planning any kind of event, Megan will bring her amazing design skills and wonderful personality to the table. She’s the greatest!

I expected more for how much it cost, and wish to have stuck with the budget. My number one piece of advice remember when the bride says don’t show anything over budget and stick to that! The one great thing is she introduced us to Barbie Hull she’s the best photographer in Washington!

We hired Megan for day-​of services for our 2013 wedding at Hotel 1000. There is a reason she has so many 5 star reviews. Girl is SOLID! And this is coming from a bride that is a full time event planner.
She was always quick to respond to an email or call, had great recommendations (not just vendors, but suggestions for the layout and flow of the evening, food and drink, etc. She puts thought into all aspects of the event!)
Not only was she fantastic as a professional, we really enjoyed her personality which made the planning process that much more enjoyable. Well, it’s not all rainbows and puppies, but she kept us calm and laughing even during the stressful moments.

Megan & the crew at A Kurant Event are AMAZING! I have been in the wedding industry over 12 years and have had the pleasure of working with Megan many many times. She is organized, confident and cool in crazy situations — she always takes the chaos of a wedding or large event in stride putting her clients at ease. (which is exactly what she is there for!) I feel confident referring her to anyone!

I cannot say enough good things about Megan and A Kurant Event. We hired Megan for «day-​of» services and she went above and beyond.
We live in SF but are native Seattleites, so planning a Seattle wedding meant we needed someone to keep us on track and Megan did just that. I should say that we hired her first and foremost for her awesome sense of humor. My husband and I are VERY sarcastic, and loved that Megan was fun and hilarious while also getting sh*t done. In the weeks leading up to the big day, she took over chasing down contacts and making sure everyone was on the same timeline. The actual day was a million times better than we had ever imagined. If anything went wrong, we had no clue and were able to just enjoy the day and have fun.

The more my husband and I look back on our amazing wedding, the more grateful we are that we had Megan. She kept us on pace for the big day with a checklist tailored just for us that she kept a close eye on. She recommended the best vendors to suit our event’s needs, followed up on our visits to vendors though often she was there with us, and she was so supportive and pleasant to work with.
Our wedding day was fun, romantic, memorable and exactly what we wanted. No stress at all because I knew Megan would be there. I didn’t have to herd anyone, wonder when anything was starting or where a vendor was, or oversee the event space in any way. My husband and I were able to simply enjoy ourselves and our happy day with all of our friends and family.
It couldn’t have gone off any better and we have Megan to thank for that!

We hired Megan for her ‘day-​of’ services, which are way more than that. We met with a few coordinators who were a little over the top, which is just not our style. We immediately felt comfortable with Megan — she was relaxed and less intense than the others but answered all our questions and really sounded like she knew her stuff and would be a great match. We were never disappointed in our decision to go with her!
Our wedding was towards the end of wedding season and even though Megan had many weddings on her plate she responded to emails immediately and kept all of our vendors informed and in line in the weeks leading up to our big day. She was available in the months before the wedding via email and always provided great information.
I just read through a few of the other reviews here and everyone is spot on: Megan is a blast to work with while being completely professional when it’s time to be serious. I have no idea if there were any issues on our big day because she and her assistant took care of everything.
We booked almost all of our vendors based on her recommendations and they were all top notch. Those few vendors that we booked that she hadn’t previously worked with have commented on how easy she was to work with.
I’m almost sad that I don’t plan on ever doing this again as I’d love to work with Megan in the future! Seriously, do your self a favor and let Megan run the show. We had an amazing time on our big day and I know that was because Megan was there to deal with everything and we just got to sit back and have fun.

It’s truly tough to describe our appreciation for Megan briefly. She is creative, organized and well connected to the event planning community. We worked with her for the past year to plan our wedding for 250 at our home on Bainbridge.
We were instantly drawn to Megan’s personality, which is casual yet professional. She had endless ideas, but is never pushy. She engages like a friend while skillfully managing the budget and timeline.
With her help, we were able to easily choose an exceptional team of vendors early on. We don’t regret a single choice.

I check references and she got amazing reviews. During our interview, I realized immediately that she is exceptional (she told me some stories and what to expect for the different services available). She is professional, über organized, crafty, and on top of everything.
Believe me, you get what you pay for! My husband didn’t even figure a wedding planner into our budget, but after our reception, he thanked me for urging him to hire Megan because we were stress free the entire day. Holy cow did we luck out when we found Megan. My wedding advice to you is to splurge on hiring an exceptional wedding planner. She was our «day of» coordinator but put in hours upon hours of work before our big day. What a bargain, considering everything that she did for us.

Megan and Kate were assets to my wedding day. I used them as day of event coordinating, and they were willing to help me figure all sorts of things out. They made sure that my day went as smooth as possible, from making sure my decorations were set up, that the tables look liked I had envisioned, to making sure the timing of all the events of the night went smooth… to really anything I needed. On one of the (potentially) most stressful days of my life, this duo made me feel at ease and in the hands of some very smart women. I should also add that they made my parents completely comfortable, and created an event that they were also able to sit back and just enjoy the night. This alone was worth everything to me, due to my father being sick and somewhat stressed about how everything was going to come together.
These girls are amazing, and i was lucky to have them even just for the day of… simply amazing.

I will never be able to do justice to the amazing-​ness that is May Wyatt and Kate Coble. The beginning of our wedding planning was stressful, to say the least… but the first time that we met with Megan (owner) and May about working with them for day-​of wedding coordination, my mother, fiancé and I all breathed a huge sigh of relief. May was always available to answer planning and etiquette questions and her helpful replies were always so speedy. Having an expert there to help through the planning process took away all the doubt and concern and just allowed us to enjoy being engaged and planning our big day! As the wedding got closer and closer, she even took the vendor contracts off my plate, contacted each of them with their arrival times and supplied us all with a detailed schedule of the wedding day. She thought of everything.
May and Kate’s help and expertise at the rehearsal and the wedding were priceless. My mom and I have talked about how different the wedding would have been if we didn’t have them there and we are just so thrilled that we made the choice to work with A Kurant Event. The day would have been filled with work and worrying about details if we hadn’t had May and Kate there to help us. We didn’t have to worry about a thing the entire day. May was there to ensure that everything went smoothly, and she did it so beautifully. Even when there was a last minute change of plans with the timing and order of our toasts, May ensured that everyone knew exactly what was going on at all times and the toasts went perfectly!
I know a lot of brides that have things they would change about their wedding days, things that went wrong or didn’t turn out as planned. I don’t have any of those. For me, my husband, and our families, our wedding was perfect. We owe all the ladies of A Kurant Event a huge ‘Thank You’ for that. No matter how much planning or work I put into the wedding, the day would not have been what it was without them. I couldn’t have asked for lovelier ladies to share my wedding day with and I would absolutely recommend A Kurant Event to any bride!

We just got married, and Megan did a wonderful job of attending to the details of our wedding. I hired Megan because of her broad experience working with large budgets and small budgets alike, and her vast experience in negotiating and attending to the details of event contracts. She exceeded our expectations in these areas from her first day working with us, and helped our wedding go smoothly in some many other ways as well.
In all reality, our wedding (a local destination wedding) would have been basically a full working day for me and my family if we hadn’t had Megan.
But, it isn’t just about the day of the wedding. Prior to this, Megan handled details months before, making life for all of us much easier.
With our wedding, Megan was tasked with a hard job of working out some sticky contract issues with our first venue, and when those went south, finding us a perfect new venue on the same date, four months from the date of our wedding. She did it, and managed to deal with a sticky situation in the best way possible.
Megan is a consummate professional. She is focused on making sure her client is content with the way things are going, even if that means the plans change a bit.
With every wedding, after the fact, there are always things that the bride and groom wish went differently. Don’t get me wrong — we still have a few — but all with other vendors or details related to the wedding.
Everything Megan was in charge of turned out well — we would highly recommend her to brides of all budgets — she will make your day all it can possibly be.
