Terrific central location in renovated historic building. Economical, secure, well-maintained building with laundry room but no garage. Across the street from Light Rail tunnel. Good natural light from large windows(formerly medical and dental offices). No children or pets. Relatively quiet inside but this, well-patrolled high-end retail area has a corner on street musicians, pan-handlers, donation seekers, demonstrations, marching bands, parades, etc. Upper floors may be quieter. My personal pet peeve are the Chinese musicians who play the antique two-string violin for hours and hours. Believe it or not, you do get accustomed to the sirens after a while. I’ve been here five years.

Really cheap apartments. Great location. Not a lot of amenities, but if you want to pay for amenities, you would be better off in Belltown anyways. They’re a sweet deal if you like a bare minimum living arrangement and don’t own a car. There’s a lot of street noise and sirens 24⁄7 but that’s to be expected downtown. The only bad part about living here are the bucket drummers that frequent the corner near 5th Avenue. Big on sound, low on talent. Overall I totally recommend it and some of my friends have moved into the building after visiting.
