History
Established in 2009.
We created the Community Acupuncture Project of Columbia City in direct response to the «Healthcare for all» call. Acupuncture started off its life as a community medicine, relatively cheap to administer and very effective for a huge array of complaints if used frequently — ie a few times per week. We believe that this very useful and effective medicine has been taken out of the hands of the many and has become a privelege for few with either good health insurance or a fat wallet. Even if you have good health insurance, it often only allows a limited amount of visits. Even if you have a fat wallet, it is often not possible to have as many acupuncture sessions necessary to treat certain conditions at $ 80-$ 150 per session. It is time to give acupuncture back to the community and the way we do that here is by treating many people at the same time for very little money — $ 20 – 50. We get fed, you get great and affordable health care as often as is necessary, everyone wins. Check us out!
