1-World Globes & Maps

Don’t order from this company! Just received a surprise shipping COD charge of almost $ 60!!! to have it shipped to a Canadian address. This is on top of their $ 28 shipping charge for a $ 99 map. And the worst part is when I called to cancel and was willing to eat all charges the guy on the phone acted like a complete moron. Giving me answers like «well if it comes back it might get lost at customs» or «it might cost around $ 50 or $ 60 dollars to return». Just pathetic to force the sale with such passive aggressive techniques.

I ordered a 1719 reproduction wall map of the Americas from 1-​World, and they had the product shipped to me two business days later. (Wonderful!) The product came VERY well packed in the box to prevent damage.
The map itself is awesome! Besides showing continents, it has drawings in the margins depicting scenes of native animals and native people, many drawn as one might expect in 1719, as fearsome creatures in a strange new land.
The map comes mounted on a pair of beautiful cherry wood slats, a presentation style which I feel is more authentic than a common picture frame. As the map hangs on our living room wall, I’m sure it will be a topic of conversation at parites.

I received a gift of a globe from this company. It’s a really unique globe and quite beautiful. It’s black with colors that are very attractive. The globe can stand alone as a piece on my shelf.
