History

Established in 2012.

Firehouse Grill was opened in the old Seaside Firehouse building in 2012 by Bob and Lori Bresslaeur from Orcas Island. It quickly became the place to go for breakfast all day. They sold it to Nancy and Dennis McKeown in May of 2015 and they continue to deliver great food and service.

Meet the Business Owner

Dennis M.

Business Owner

Dennis started his cooking career early as a tin can sailor in the Navy aboard the USS Carpenter. From there he worked at many Bay Area Restaurants. He was working at the Front Room in Concord when he met his wife Nancy in 1985. He worked as Entertainer Chef for the Casinos in Lake Tahoe and even got a «Thank you very much» and a $ 100 tip from the «King», Elvis Presley, when he cooked him a perfect Double Cut New York Steak at Del Webbs Sahara. After moving to Oregon he was a Corporate Chef for a company that owned 14 Restaurants and he traveled around training new Chefs for the properties and developing recipes and menus. Dennis and Nancy opened Dog Water Café in 2001, McKeown’s Restaurant & Bar in 2004, The Irish Pub in 2013 and Nonni’s Italian Bistro in July of 2014.
