Ended up here purely by luck — came to Seaside to eat somewhere else that was closed — and SOOO glad we did. Never thought a baitstore dinette would be so good, and SO creative. Apple Pie Pancakes, Hot Cocoa Cakes, Smores French Toast… Yum. And you must try Earl’s chili in a chili cheese omelet. The aroma floated by our table as we sat down and i was done. Great flavor, served quick, perfectly cooked. My son had the pork roll sandwich and said it was the best he had in a while. If you are looking for a fancy place with average grub, don’t come here. If you want great food, served by friendly people who really care about the customers, Betty & Nick’s is for you.

We were down at Island Beach State Park for the Plum Festival and we stopped here for some breakfast. We were starving and there was only counter seating available but we took it. There were 4 of us, 3 adults and 1 child. Service was great. Our waitress was helpful with recommendations and kept on top of our refills. I got a cheese omelet with a side of home fries. I don’t even like home fries but these were so delicious I ate them all! My omelet was extra cheesy and huge. Our food hit the spot. I’ll make sure to hit Betty and Nick’s on my next trip.

Chili bowl, $ 3.99. I had two servings last week when I was on vacation in Seaside Park. The chili was a little too sweet for my taste, but it sure hit the spot! I agree with all the other reviewers for the ambiance and friendliness.

Betty and Nick’s is a staple of Seaside Park, as it is known for both the bait and tackle shop and the luncheonette. Don’t let that fool you, though. This is more than just a place to get your worms and bait fish. The luncheonette is a delicious spot for some grub. Is it gourmet? Nope. But if you’re in the mood for a mom-and-pop, homestyle breakfast, brunch, and lunch, than you’re in a good spot. We started coming here for lunch years ago. The cheeseburgers, in particular, are huge, hot, and delicious. With a side of beer-battered onion rings, the cheeseburger can easily feed two people — or one very hungry customer!!! It’s so big I think they even have sizes how — ½ pound, ¾ pound, and so on. The breakfast is good, too. Personally, I love their pancakes, but their taylor ham, egg, and cheese hits the spot when you’ve partied hard the night before. I don’t like their homefries, and I think they can do a better job on them, but other than that it’s all good. After Sandy destroyed the place, they renovated and it’s beautiful. Betty and Nick’s is small, but totally local, beachy, and yummy.

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast on the island. Always delicious and the service is always great. Nothing better then having a great meal, then stopping at the Bait and Tackle store for some bait!

Old fashioned diner type place on the Blvd in Seaside park attached to the bait and tackle shop. Kinda makes you wonder LOL. Nah just kidding but if you need bait & Tackle a beach chair or something like that its right next door. Luncheonette is typical counter stool service with about 5 booths along the wall. Service is brisk & Friendly with your basic assortment of breakfast and lunch items to choose. All items are huge including platters of eggs, potatoes, etc and the pancakes are excellent. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the«BILLY» Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese on a Hard Roll with a entire deep fried hash brown on top… Yea real Healthy I know but dam good. Coffee is hot and fresh. Typical Jersey Shore type diner that turns out a consistent product!
