Very unhappy with our experience. Furniture arrived damaged, they came within a week to assess and said they would replace. We were told it would take a week, then 3, and 6 weeks later we still have nothing. No return phone calls. Awful!
A month later… still no furniture. Avoid this place at all costs.

The best on Long Island! I was looking for baby furniture for my nursery. As a first time mom I had many questions that each of their salespeople were willing to answer. They took their time with me (as I assume they do all of their customers) and made sure I saw everything before narrowing it down. They were not pushy at all but made themselves available at all times. I even went back a second time with my mom to narrow it down and they were even more helpful! I highly recommend this amazing family owned store with very helpful salespeople!!!

I ordered two sets of furniture here and I wouldn’t come back or allow my family to order for their future children here.
Like many other people, our furniture is about 1 month late and counting. Our son was born a week late and he still beat our furniture — the furniture we ordered 4 moths ago. I called last week and asked the manager to call me back and that never happened.
We took a partial delivery of our order and one of the items delivered was damaged. When we called the store 30 minutes after the delivery, the woman who answered the phone offered little help and showed little concern. We had to track down the manager on vacation to get any help. I’ll note, he was actually very helpful and showed concern and got the damaged item replaced fast.
All in all, buying here added a lot of stress during a stressful time, their stuff is not cheap, and they made to us bogus promises on delivery times and don’t feel even a courtesy call to let you know is in order.

Very Frustrating although the furniture I ordered seems like good quality & while ordering they were nice I haven’t had the time to use it yet due to the fact that I ordered it in early September & it’s now November every time I call it’s getting ready for customs or getting ready to be packed up I keep getting told another week. Now my baby is almost here and I will have to be hurried to get things together in a week. Definitely not the added stress you need while preparing for a child.

My wife and I purchased our baby furniture a few weeks ago and had a great experience. The store is much larger than you would guess from the outside and they have tons of selection. Our salesperson was very knowledgeable and was helpful in choosing the right color for the actual furniture by giving us a blanket with the theme color we chose for our nursery. The actual furniture itself was very high end, none of that particle board crap from IKEA.
I was waiting to write a review until we received the furniture, since it seems like a few people had to wait longer than they hoped, but interestingly enough our furniture arrived EARLIER than expected. The customer service was very helpful when we called about delaying the delivery since the actual room for the nursery wasn’t finished with painting, and they were nice enough to store the furniture for us at the store until the nursery was done with its renovations.
Overall, extremely happy with the experience at Behr’s and couldn’t recommend them more. Once the nursery is fully finished with it’s decorations, I’ll be sure to update my review with pictures.

Awful customer service and I would never recommend this store to anyone. We bought TWO Romina cribs here when my twins were born and were told that it converts to a toddler bed AND to a full bed. They made an error ordering our toddler bed conversions and we had to wait an extra few weeks for it to come in. Today we called to order the full conversion, and now being told our bed doesn’t have the capacity to become a full bed. Reggie, the «manager» is rude, wasn’t helpful and told my husband to contact «Mr. Behr» with any issues. Called back to get an email address for «Mr. Behr» and we were given the incorrect general email address. Unbelievable. Do not shop here.

I am very upset with there customer service. We have a baby due in October. We went months ago for the furniture. We were told it would be in in August. We finally got the call this week it was in. Friday was the soonest they could deliver. They said they would call the day before to let us know the 4hr delivery window. Thursday evening after being out all day, I came home to a voicemail confirming my delivery window was 8am-​12pm. My husband and I were on vacation and wanted the weekend to put the bedroom together before we went back to work. I woke up at 7am. By 1215 there was no delivery. I called them and they said I called and canceled yesterday. I, NOR MY HUSBAND EVER CALLED AND CANCELED. We didn’t get the confirmation voicemail until 6pm when we got home and they were closed at that point. When I asked who they spoke to they had no clue. She then proceeded to tell me the next available delivery date was October 3. October 3? Please tell me why I would call and cancel and wait until October 3 when my baby is due October 15? AGAIN the girl had no response. She said «I don’t know what to tell you». What kind of customer service is this? I just wasted my whole morning waiting for them, and I have no furniture. My husband called back and after going back and forth they tried to accommodate us before October. We scheduled for delivery next Tuesday. I can’t review on the furniture because I haven’t received it. Based only on customer service I have to say they are not good. This period in pregnancy is stressful enough. To not have furniture or my babies room ready when he will be coming any where in the next 6 weeks is RIDICULOUS. They didn’t even try to fix the problem, no apologies. They kept blaming us.
We received our furniture today. Although the voicemail confirming our 4hr window was 1pm-​5pm, they came about 12:20pm. Which is fine, it works out for me and is better to not have to waste the day waiting around. However, what if I wasn’t home? David was very kind and friendly and they worked fast. In and out in less than 30min! The furniture looks amazing. I am overall pleased with today’s delivery and the furniture. I just wish they would work on better customer service and their delivery system.

Great selection, not cheap but not the most expensive either. I don’t do a lot of shopping with mom and pop stores because the customer service is usually lacking. Sad but true. In this case, there is a disconnect with the store, the manufacturer and/​or shipping co. Let’s just get right down to it, Behr’s is at the mercy of the manufacturer and shipping co. and they have no control over when it gets delivered. I don’t really think they care, either. They are just a middle man.
we shopped here at the recommendation of my brother in law. My dresser was promised a delivery date of August 1, then they told us no it would be earlier, end of July. I just called and they said they don’t know, not sure when they’ll get an update, late August at the most. I should have asked how do you know late August? Where are you getting this info from? I did ask if someone would let us know if there is a further delay? The girl on the phone sounded doubtful but said they would. I doubt that’s actually true. This is why you should shop with a chain store. They have multiple locations and usually a better handle on delivery and tracking. I looked up reviews after the fact and I realized I should have trusted my gut. This store make false promises. Right now I’m in the midst of setting up the nursery and I’ll use an old dresser, because I’m not holding my breath that the one I ordered will arrive before the baby is born. Too bad.
UPDATE: We recently received all of our furniture. An owner or manager called me after I posted my earlier review, apologized for delays and assured my delivery would come soon and that they value their customers. Overall only about a 2 weeks delay, and all the furniture looks great. I’m glad because I’m going to have this baby any day now!
There was some discrepancy with the final payment but it was worked out. Overall I am happy with my experience.

Stay away from this place.
They clearly do not understand they are working with expectant parents who have a firm timeline on needing furniture delivered.
I was told 10 weeks for delivery. It’s been 15 weeks and my baby is due very soon and we still have NO DEFINITE date for shipment or delivery. I was told (and have a voicemail to prove) that my furniture was going to ship from the manufacturer in the middle of last week, and I have come to learn it still has not shipped.
Completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

After a few months one of our the dressers we bought our daughter the finish began to peel. We called Behrs, they sent David back to take a few pictures and a new dresser would be on the way.
David and James came again today to deliver the new piece, they were fast, courteous and professional.
It’s great in this day and age to have a company stand by their products and do so in a professional and personal manner.

This place is full of lies! We ordered my daughters furniture on April 27^th and were promised a June 7^th delivery. My daughter is due July 27^th and they have no idea where or when the furniture will arrive! This place is a joke. No wonder why they put in the contract 7 days you can get a refund and within 30 days you can exchange your item for a new product! You can’t ever expect it that early so you only notice their scam when they pass the promised date! We are approaching 10 weeks and they have no idea where the furniture is! They told my wife maybe Vietnam! Maybe Chile! Maybe Atlanta! DO NOT SHOP AT THIS PLACE BECAUSE ALL THEY DO IS LIE! Do yourself a favor and don’t make the same mistake we have. We are at their mercy and our daughter will not have a crib to sleep in because of this horrible establishment. Shop somewhere else!

Ordering from Behr’s has been one of the worst experiences. The lack of customer service is unreal. After paying $ 4,000 for nursery furniture, not ONCE did I recieve a call or an apology for the 6 week delay on my furniture. I ordered furniture in FEBRUARY and was told it would be here by end of May/​early June. I called in June and they still had no date, they gave me the run around and said maybe mid June. I called again, every other day, and still nothing… The response was maybe end of June. When they finally heard the anger and frustration in my voice, they decided to tell me that one piece was in (again, never once a phone call or any communication when the one piece did arrive). They said the rest would be here by the end of the month. It is now the end of the month, and their response, after numerous calls a day to find out why my furniture isn’t here, was maybe in July it will arrive. I have been asking to speak to a manager for a week, and not one call back. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. They are unprofessional, unreliable and offer no customer service whatsoever. It is beyond frustrating at 39 weeks pregnant to have to deal with people like this and a business of this nature. There are tons of other companies out there that will take your orders, communicate effictively, and deliver in a timely manner. Save yourself the aggravation.

I was guaranteed delivery by the end of may, and now I’m told that SOME if the pieces won’t be here until the end of July. so now I have to take two days off from work to stay home and wait for these people, who obviously don’t stand by their word. I wish I had paid attention to the other reviews when choosing a furniture store.

Amazing experience! From start to finish everything was top notch. Service went above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a hassle free experience.

Furniture was delivered and quality. Issue I had turned out to be with the manufacturer shipping to behr’s facility not with behrs. Staff was helpful during a stressful situation.

I called Behrs one day in April to order a dresser for my granddaughter to match the crib and changing table my daughter had previously purchased. Because they were moving, I wanted to be sure to have the dresser in time for them to have in the new place. The woman on the phone asked me when we absolutely needed the dresser by. When I told her the date, she said if I ordered it right away it would be received prior to that, and we could pick the delivery date. Sounds great, right? Well I did order it, and here I am weeks later, and the dresser has not even arrived at the store yet. They told me it is coming from Canada? What? And they told me the same thing they told me last week, to call at the «end of next week» to see if it’s in. They gave me all kinds of excuses that sound like this is what they tell everyone. I am very disappointed with this customer service and feel as if I was told one thing just to get the sale. We would have purchased something else in another store, but had confidence this was a reputable business that stands by what they promise. Two-​three weeks tops should not turn into 4 weeks or more. That’s really bad customer service. At this point I really have no idea when this dresser will be delivered. My advice — if you must buy at Behrs, make sure you won’t need the furniture soon because you will be disappointed, I am!

Although my experience in the store was fine, I am not happy with the customer service regarding the shipment and delivery of my furniture. The woman who answers the phone has no idea what she is talking about and basically says the same thing no matter who she is speaking to. For example, she told me (twice) that the delay in shipping my furniture may be due to a delay going through customs, but my furniture is made in America, so its obviously no coming through customs. I have been told for over a week now that they are «loading the truck» in Georgia and they don’t know when it will arrive in NY. Not sure how or why it takes a week to load a truck. Additionally, the sales man, Frank told me that they deliver on Saturdays, but I’m now being told that they don’t deliver to Brooklyn on Saturdays. Clearly he told me what I needed to hear to close the deal. I was then told they only come to Brooklyn on Thursdays, but a manager later told me that they will deliver on Friday. Obviously there is no clear policies or procedures regarding deliveries. It seems that once you pay for your furniture, they don’t care what happens because they have their money! Even the manager has not been helpful, in addition to the BS re: delivery days, he told be during our first conversation he would call me back with more info, when he didn’t and I called him out on it, he said he tried to call and was unable to leave a message! Really? Do you think I just got my phone yesterday? It absolutely untrue that he could not leave a message as my voice mail is NEVER full and even if it was, I would have had a missed call from the store, which I didn’t. So now, I’m about to have a baby with no furniture and a nursery in a shambles! If it wasn’t so close to my due date, I’d have AMEX cancel the order and go someplace else.

Just wanted to give a glowing review to Behr’s and more importantly their driver David and James. I had ordered my son’s furniture from another store and had to re-​order 3x and yet everything was still coming in damaged. At the recommendation of a group of Mom’s on FB I went to Behr’s, and fell in LOVE with the Naples collection in antique grey and placed an order for every piece of he collection right then and there. The quality SURPASSES any other furniture I have ordered. To top it off, it came in two shipments (waiting on the conversion kit and night stand still) and David and James delivered both times and were SO professional, friendly, and courteous. I had remembered them from the first delivery and immediately felt very comfortable with them. I want them to know how appreciated they are and Behr’s to know I am so happy I was referred to you guys! I called a manager today as well to give these kudos :)

Fantastic, high quality, kids furniture, much of it made in America. And the Behr’s staff is always helpful.
We were tired of Ikea’s cheap, shaky furniture, so we decided to make the investment and get our kids quality sets for their rooms. The pieces are gorgeous and built to last for years. We especially love the ‘Young America’ line which is made here in the US.
