Acme Ice House

The new menu is a great change. Atmosphere always good. The burger is awesome and loved the BBQ chicken pizza.

A really cute place! Great set up and our server, Jett, was very nice and cool. Overall the menu was pretty sparse BUT Jett helped me out and got me some good veggie tacos. They were delicious. The fries were spectacular and the Mac and cheese hit the mf spot.

The food is just ok, the price is high for what you get and the service is very slow. We took a chance even after reading the other the reviews because it was within walking distance, sometimes it pays off to take a chance, this time it did not.

Despite the other reviews, we still tried it. Our food was mediocre and over priced. The service was way to slow. Soup and salad should not take two hours. Our server didn’t need her fake southern accent. Good luck y’all

Great food, excellent service and the price isn’t bad considering the quality and quantity. We’ll make this a repeat spot.
Oh… And the pizza is a must have. YUM.

We ate here tonight for the 30A 10K pre race dinner. It was a great experience. Arrived early before our reservation so we had a drink at the bar. I had the bourbon honey, a seasonal drink. For our meals I had the grouper and my guest had the pork chop, both delicious. Service was good. I do recommend reservations. Great place!

They do not honor Open Table reservations so don’t bother making them. When we complained after learning that we would have an hour wait for our «reserved» table they cancelled our reservations. They eventually sat us in the bar after we asked to speak with a manager. To be fair, the service in the bar was *great* from both the bartender and the waitress — both went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. I wish management had been as service-​oriented when we arrived. Since we were in the bar, we ate bar food instead of a full meal so I cannot comment on the quality of their dinners. The bar food was OK but very salty. It was very expensive for the portion size. There are better values in the area.

Sorry Acme but here’s a bad review Second time we have visited Acme, usually give a restaurant the chance to make up for a bad dining experience, that was a mistake. Sloooow service again, food was not worth the high price even for 30A. The staff was friendly and I do like the style of the restaurant, that is the reason for the one star. Will not be back a third time

We walked out after ordering our drinks. Trying to be high end and coming up really short! Sign outside still says Pizza and Shakes. Negative. $ 40 steaks and not kid friendly. Need to work on menu and service! Piano player was fantastic. Trying to be like the Paradis Restaurant.

Well good service, nice atmosphere but overpriced for quality and quantity. Hate to give bad reviews but I ordered soft-​shell crab for 34 $ and though tasty it was just a salad w 1 small soft-​shell crab. My fried got lobster w mac for 14 and it was the size of a ramekin and was bland at best. The crab and hoecakes we dry and cold.
Think this location w their two wood stove should try Italian!!!

Terrible service. Party of 6 people and needed 3 bills and they acted like we asked them to build Rome in a day… Bill came out incorrect numerous times, food was timed incorrectly (appetizers came out after meals). We addressed issues with management and she only offered to discount us on future meals. We will not be back to redeem her offer.
Food was actually good. There was one bar-​back that was busting his hump but bartender/​waiter was rude throughout entire meal. It is never fun to come to a restaurant and feel like you are bothering the staff by trying to bring back them business.

There were still feathers on one or two of the Classic chicken Wings. It’s really hard to get past that. The lobster pizza flatbread was really a pizza. It was good, but meant for sharing. The kids Mac and cheese was ok, really had very little flavor. The atmosphere is well designed. The prices were way too high, but that is expected anytime one eats out in a tourist area. We would not go back.
We did not alert the server about the feathers, to keep peace at our meal, but it was really gross.
The server was good, friendly and attentive enough. Hostess staff was also welcoming.

We have tried Acme 5 or 6 times. We need more restaurants in Seacrest and hoped this would work out. It has not. The food is overpriced for the quality (I use «quality» loosely). Service has been rude on more than one occasion. Busy or Slow, the staff always seems aggravated by having to help customers. We have been in the restaurant on off season nights and the staff really gave the impression that we were interrupting them.
We finally gave up on Acme when we saw the «well behaved children welcome» printed on the menu. That would explain the disgusted looks from staff when children, many of whom are on vacation, would play, yell, laugh, or have fun. If you have a family with you make sure your children are on their best behavior. If you know some of the staff, have money to blow on sub-​par food, and don’t have children with you then Acme may be the place for you.

Honestly, a truly poor experience from start to finish. When we walked in, the hostess asked, prior to anything else, «I notice you’re wearing a swimsuit cover-​up, are you wet?» We should have left then. An hour later after not getting multiple things we asked for (ranch, ketchup, 5 wings in an order that was supposed to have 6) we were told that they couldn’t separate checks (blatant lie) and were charged an automatic 20% gratuity (nothing that remotely resembled 20% service, hell we couldn’t get a soda refill, so we just walked to the bar ourselves; he was a nice guy) for very average, wildly overpriced food. $ 8 for an order of Mac and cheese, $ 12 for 6 smallish shrimp, etc.
We only went because it was convenient and close, but hope others don’t do the same. Really not a good experience on any level.

Acme Icehouse was a disappointment. It is labeled a sports bar, but the only TVs were in the bar area. Our pizzas were burnt. The pizza orders were not correct and there was no apology or adjustment on the bill.

Hostess went out of her way to accommodate our party of 11. Split us up with three tables and worked out perfectly. Food is always consistently good. Great place to bring kids. Kid’s pizzas are huge; definitely will split between kids. As every other restaurant at the beach, it’s a bit overpriced and the kid drinks are $ 2.75 each. But you’re at the beach. Only strange thing is the lady pianist playing odd songs (instrumental), mostly TV theme songs. A guitarist would be a better fit.

Overall, I was quite disappointed with the experience. I walked in expecting some good family fun, some good service, and some good food. Unfortunately, I only was able to experience two of these three highly anticipated factors, as the food was complete shit. As I glanced over my menu, I stumbled upon this exotic condiment called chum yum sauce. As I ordered my food, I was actually quite excited to receive it, as one of the key ingredients was said «chum yum» sauce, key word being «yum». this was most certainly not the case. Much to my dismay, this sauce had the consistency of an expired dairy product, being forced upon me by the waitress like bread to a prisoner. The second this hell-​sent custard touched my taste buds, my gag reflex kicked in and out spewed half digested corn bread coated in chum yum, like fire from a dragon.

30A in general is pretty much sterile and boring not to mention home of the worst BBQ!!!

What a disappointment. We were excited to go back after a really great meal right after they opened last year. But unfortunately, most things including the service and menu items have changed.
To begin, we decided to take advantage of the Happy Hour specials, which are no longer available outside, only in the bar. So we sat at the bar and were «greeted» by the most surly bartender ever. He couldn’t have cared less about us or pretty much anything. He spilled my drink all over the bar when delivering it to me, and after he handed us the lunch menus (it was dinner time), when we asked fornthe dinner menus and he told us they were the same. Clearly, from reading them online, they have many additions on the dinner menu, but so what? It didn’t make a difference to him.
We ordered the oysters and risotto balls and both tasted good. It didn’t make up for the bad taste we already had from the horrible service. I am a former server and also a Project Coordinator who built many large commercial restaurants in the past. I understand hospitality and the difference it can make. We decided to give the bugers a shot since that is what we came there looking forward to. They were less than stellar. Obviously, there has been a change — new chef or management possibly? They weren’t terrible, but nothing to ever go back for.
We definitely won’t be recommeding this restaurant to anyone and we won’t be back.

We have been to this restaurant several times, in the off season they host «food fights» which features different local chefs competing against one another.
The food and atmosphere is always great, we love their thin crust Artisan pizza and the burgers are the best you will find! I can recommend this place to anyone!
