This place was recommended to us when visiting and it was overall a great experience! Great food, service, and atmosphere. We went with a group for Sunday brunch and ordered the crap dip, boiled shrimp, crab bisque, and shrimp platter. Everything was great! We’ll definitely be back and hope to enjoy the place!

My vodka cranberry was super watery! I never got all my food! The waitress was rude and had a attitude the whole time! Worst service ever!

Outrigger is a hidden gem tucked away under the bridge leading to the more commercial side of Kemah. The atmosphere is very casual. My daughter and I sat outside on the heated deck for our Sunday lunch. She ordered a bloody Mary, and when it arrived, I wished I had done the same. It was spicy and delicious with celery, olives, and a boiled shrimp perched on the side of the glass. We ordered the blackened crab cakes and the shrimp brochette. The crab cakes were perfectly cooked and filled with lots of crab and not too much filler, and the bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed shrimp were large and tender. We will definitely be back!

After reading other reviews we decided to stop for the ambiance and to just expect not so great food. We started with the buffalo shrimp appetizer and that was average, however I ordered the crab bisque and that was out of this world amazing. Can I just order a pot of that next time? Husband got the gumbo– it was average but he doctored it up a bit with the salt/pepper and hot sauce on the table. He also ordered the red beans and rice– those were less than average. We also split 3 shrimp tacos, one blackened, one fried and one grilled. The fried and grilled were excellent and the sauce used is not to be missed, the blackened just seemed like they used Tony’s seasoning and nothing more to make it «blackened». We will return next time we are in the area but next time just get the bisque, and grilled, fried shrimp tacos.

Very average seafood restaurant in the Kemah area. Good service. Very average food. Prices a little on the high side, otherwise would get 4 stars

I enjoy Outriggers, the service is good and the drinks are cold. I prefer to order the Calamari as an apertizer and it’s always to my liking. The view from the upper deck patio area is always filled with boats coming and going, it’s a view very few restaurants offer. Rgds, Leon

Love this place, great service, fresh food, great views, a must every time I’m down this way. The boardwalk is over rated, under the bridge is where it is at.

Just Average. Nothing about the food is spectacular. But, the view is fantastic! The parking is a challenge. Live music on Sunday. I had fried catfish. It was very under-seasoned.

I wish I could have given more stars for how cute and unique this place was! I love the kemah area and this is a non chain restaurant unlike the pier. Apparently they’re about to close because the expansion of the bridge is forcing them to migrate to a new location. First off, I’m not sure if they have AC. The fans were on but inside was at least 80 degrees(its 95 today outside). Don’t come here and expect your hair to stay nice. Definitely a place to come after being in your bathing suit and out on the boat! The downstairs is the party area, there was a band playing and a large bar area. Looked like fun. Many women in bathing suits and a lot of smokers. To each their own– We started off with the fried crab balls which had a lot more batter than it had crab. annnnd my crab ball had shell in it. Tasted good but huge turn off. For dinner I had the coconut shrimp which was delicious! It comes with fries or ONion rings. The mango sauce it comes with was delicious. Overall an okay experience. But being in Texas and sweating INSIDE an establishment. Hard to say it was a great time. My mother has been going there forever so I had to come to see what she had been talking about. Might of had a better experience after 10 beers and 5 hours in the sun haha.

Overall the place was average. The service was below average as the waitress acted like she would rather be any place but there. I had the seafood platter and it tasted frsh, but really bland. My wife had the snow crab and loved it. And dont ask for any substitutions, we tried subbing out items on both dishes and they said they couldnt do it.

Great atmosphere on the water. They have great broiled Parmesan oysters, blackened fish and shrimp tacos too. Bloody Mary’s made out of their own Pepper marinated Vodka, spicy! Good bands playing down below restaurant on weekends.

The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because parking wasn’t great(don’t park under the bridge and walk across the bridge or you’ll get a ticket) and it was so hot indoors. We kept wiping sweat from our faces. Ok, those are the only negatives I have about the place. The rest is awesome. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. We started with crab bisque which was incredible! Hubby said it’s the best he’s had so far. We then moved to a different table because the window seat was so hot that we were miserable. I got pecan crusted snapper and it was amazing. Fresh fish with no fishy taste. Loved it! Hubby got Mahi Mahi with Ponchatrain sauce and his eyes practically rolled back in his head from ecstasy. The sauce is served on the side in a bowl and you get an enormous portion. It’s a little pricy but the view and quality was perfect and well worth it. We’ll be back. Enjoy sipping a beverage and watching the beautiful boats float by. It’s a relaxing experience. Our waitress even offered us drinks to go before we left. Perfect father’s day dinner. Can’t wait to go back.

This place would get 5 stars if it was located in a better place on the water. Other than that, this is definitely a perfect spot for Sunday Funday(or any day actually) in the area. Two-story venue with open patios, live bands, cheap drinks and awesome crab with cheese dip! Their infamous bloody mary was only $ 3! If you’re looking for a fun casual place to kick back, relax, have a few drinks and enjoy live entertainment, this is the place to be!

5 star service. 0 star food. No draft and an anemic selection of bottled beer. The server was really on her game too bad the food was so pathetic. They have a great location too bad there’s so little else. No local beer no IPA. If all you want is a light beer and burger this may be your kind of dive.

Cozy place for gathering! This place is located under the bridge, it has pretty good view if you are sitting on second floor. My sister and I ordered crab with cheese dip and cerviche, the cerviche is very Americanized but the crab with cheese dip was super good, the service is awesome and they gave us so many chips

Exactly what I had hoped for! This is a casual place, with wood floors, local workers at lunch pick this place and some good wait staff attentive to fast service. I tried, as always, on my worldwide quest for the ultumiate fish taco. I can tell you it ranks up there at the 4th best I have had so far in the United States, and the 8th best in the world(you have to go to Nicaragua to get the best). Tasty and fresh, the balance with the sauce and fresh cabbage and spices was complimeted by the nice and well made tortilla. I also had the shrimp gumbo which was good, but not topping anything to remember list. I do want to go back, and have the tacos and something else on the menu, and I am sure that it will be yummilliousisous washed down by a cheap beer.

BLOODYMARYS! CRAWFISH! The best place in town to get a really good Bloody Mary! The vodka is vegetable infused and the mix is a nice spicy Cajun mix. Delish! The crawfish… Oh the crawfish… So fresh… So spicy… OMG… There are no words… Perfect, just perfect. My very favorite place in the world to get these two things! I’ve tried other food and drink here and all are wonderful, but these are THEBEST. The view is wonderful looking out over the water and the staff is great. I just love Outriggers!!!

This isn’t a fancy place, right? It is a dockside fish shack on an inlet literally under a bridge in Seabrook. But that’s the only remotely bad news. The good news is that Outriggers has really fresh fish and shrimp, fried right and served in quantity(though the grilled stuff looked pretty good too). My wife, my toddler and I all shared some sort of fried platter — fish, crab cake, fish cake, shrimp, oysters, hush puppies. All delicious. All became even more delicious with a few really cold, really cheap beers. The people watching is also fun. Lots of pleasure and fishing boats will float by; regulars will stop in and be served huge platter of crawfish, and some of the(still living) mudbugs might even make a break for freedom down the stairs, if you’re lucky. This is a fun and relaxing place. I highly recommend it.

We absolutely love this place! John Schaefer the owner has really turned this into a family friendly go to spot for hundreds!!! The view of the Kemah\Seabrook channel with hundreds of boats going by, plus the great atmosphere just make you want to hang here all the time!!! The Bloody Mary’s with their own vegetable infused vodka are absolutely the best in the Bay Area!!! Good cold beer, with a good variety to choose from. The food had always been great!!! We love to come here for the boiled crawfish, when in season. They are really good and spicy here, the way we like them!!! On Tuesday they have what they call Taco Tuesday and they have great fish tacos for cheap! Wednesday they have .50¢ oysters after 4pm, so you can get you a dozen for $ 6.00! They seafood is good here, shrimp, Oysters, Crab claws. The burgers are really great too!!! You can choose to sit inside in the a\c or you can sit outdoors on the covered deck. During the warmer months and on good weather days they will open the downstairs bar and they have live entertainment. You can sit at a table or the bar upstairs or downstairs. You can come by car or by boat!!! There is ample parking, when the local lot is full you can park under the bridge and come across the walkway bridge they have built just for that purpose. Or, you can park where the old Maribelle’s was and they have transportation set up to transport you over to the restaurant. Come early on weekends as the place trends to get busy really fast and stay that way!!! Great place for lunch, or for dinner, or just beers and drinks!

I read the reviews and I was hopeful for a good, family seafood restaurant. It is located north of the channel under the Kemah bridge. We were disappointed with our experience at Outriggers. My wife and I order a dozen oysters on the ½ shell for an appetizer. While very fresh and tasty, the oysters were very small. $ 11 for a dozen small oysters was mildly annoying. Sadly, it was the best experience of the evening. The child’s plates are limited. There are no options for fresh vegetables. Only the french fries are available. The fries are standard, pre-bagged and drop in the grease fries. Whataburger has better fries. I had the Mahi and my wife had the Snapper. Nothing special. The fish didn’t taste fresh. It tasted frozen. The fish was very bland. The Pontchartrain sauce for the Mahi was good. The sauce tasted fresh. It had shrimp, fresh mushrooms, butter and cream. I wish all the food was prepared with the same effort as that sauce. We were let down by the sauteed vegetables. For one, they weren’t sauteed. They are a frozen vegetable medley that is boiled or steamed. No seasoning. And the asparagus, while fresh, was untrimmed, woody and served cold with no seasoning. The waitress was nice. She must have been new. She had to leave and find things out when we asked a question. The price of over $ 90 for 2 adults and 2 children. There are so many more places I’d rather take my family for that much money. Live and learn.
