A minimally wonderful park. It’s a raised, shaded wooden observation deck overlooking Galveston Bay. Buy a soda, a sandwich or some ribs at one of the nearby joints in Seabrook or Kemah. Bring it back here for the wonderful view. Pelicans, grebes, seagulls. Honking big pleasure craft zooming by, following the shrimping fleet. Oil tankers and barges full of cars going towards the ship channel, off on the horizon. Besides the observation deck and the view — not much. A trash can, 5 parking spaces on a driveway, about 100 sqft of grass and a sign. But what a great view!
