One of the best grilled chicken ceasar salads I’ve had. The lettuce was crisp and fresh, super flavorful dressing, the grilled chicken was juicy and tasty and perfectly cooked.

A good restaurant in a central location. If you go early enough the service is lightning fast, where on other days you’ll have to wait a bit. They take lunch reservations. I have never been impressed by any of the menu items I’ve tried. Mansour’s is superior.

this is essentially an upscale diner. If you like diner food with an upscale flare, this is the place to be. Menu options are very similar to a diner and the feel, once you take away the building and décor, is clearly diner. Enjoyed the meal and service, but didn’t think it was anything you can’t get anywhere else food wise.

Undoubtedly a Scranton institution. I’d put Paul’s chili and Caesar salad on a list of area«must-eats.» For context, my list includes Coney Island Texas Wieners, Old Forge pizza, and Gutheinz bockwurst. Disclaimer: Reviewer is a great-nephew of owner Paul Scanlan.

Just had another great lunch here! Great family run place! My wife had hot turkey sandwich which tasted just like homemade! I had the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad which is by far the best in town! Sometimes busy on Saturday afternoons, but worth the wait! The dining room is well lit and there is even a private room if you need one. The staff is experienced and very accommodating!

A little overpriced, but the food is decent. I enjoyed my cobb salad, but my sandwich was a little bland.

We stopped at Scanlan’s spontaneously while driving home from vacation last summer. We were attempting to locate some water for our dog when we were approached by the owner’s daughter, who invited us to bring him with us to a corner table on the porch where he was given the royal treatment by the staff. Our food was delicious, but the service was stellar!

My staple meal: Crab cakes. Home fries. Green beans. Lemon lush. This is sort of the traditional upscale lunchtime dining spot for the downtown area. It’s fairly reliable, tasty, and a reasonable value.

I have been working in downtown Scranton for 4 years and have followed them from their old location on spruce street since I was a kid. Excellent variety of gourmet style delicatessen and different seasonal weekly specials. I highly recommend the crab cake caesar salad! :)

totally great lunch spot downtown if you like sandwiches, it borders fancy food, which i love. the asian pork burger with wasabi mayo is incredible! best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had, nice owners, outside seating, downside is sitting amongst Scranton businessmen who smell like Polo and think they’re important. Seriously good food though
