History

Established in 2008.

Ross Audiology Services was developed within the medical model of hearing health care — serving people of all ages, birth to 100 plus. Audiology is about more than hearing aids. The goal of this practice is always to provide a thorough evaluation of the ears, balance, and hearing systems. When appropriate, patients are referred for medical intervention. When medical intervention will not provide a benefit, my goal becomes educating patients about how the ear works, hearing loss, options in hearing aids, hearing conservation and the role of the ear in balance.

Once you understand all of your options, you and I will decide which choice best fits your needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Meet the Business Owner

Serena Marie R.

Business Owner

I developed an interest in hearing and hearing loss at a very early age. I was fascinated by how people hear and how people communicate when they can’t hear. After volunteering at the Scranton State School for the Deaf, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders at Bloomsburg University of PA. My Master’s in Audiology was obtained at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO in 1991. Finally, I received the Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University in 2004.

Since graduating with my initial degree in Audiology, I was blessed with some excellent opportunities to continue learning and growing in my field. These opportunities included becoming a better diagnostician, becoming proficient at evaluating and fitting young children with hearing aids, and becoming a teacher. I had the privilege of teaching medical residents, nurses and future audiologists both at Geisinger and as a part-time professor at Bloomsburg University.
