History
Established in 2008.
eden-a vegan café is the brainchild of Christian Pilosi, a vegan for 12 ½ years who has always wanted to make vegetarian/vegan food open to everyone. In November of 2008, this dream became a reality when 344 Adams Ave in downtown Scranton opened it’s doors. Everything on the ever expandiong menu is 100% vegan — no animal products or dairy of any kind are used in any of the food offerings. Vegans, vegetarians & omnivores alike have embraced the food at eden — it truly is a place where everyone feels welcome & leaves feeling satisfied!
Meet the Business Owner
Christian P.
Business Owner
Christian Pilosi became vegetarian in May of 1997 & shortly thereafter became vegan. He has quite a bit of cooking experience pre-veg when he worked in several local diners & family style restaurants as he was attending college earning a Business Management degree. He also worked in the kitchen of several local nursing home & rehabilitation centers. His cooking experience is vast & wide-ranging. After becoming vegan, he has been an activist for animal rights & issues relating to veganism. In 2008 he took the plunge of opening Scranton’s first & only all vegan restaurant — eden-a vegan café!
