I took the Scuba certification course at UDT & just finished 5÷11÷14. It was by far one of the best put together courses & the instructors (Evin & Josh) were very knowledgeable. I feel very safe with my newly learned scuba skills & I am extremely excited for my first «official» dive in Roatan! SSI is a great course. Do it, not PADI! I would highly recommend UDT to my family, friends & anyone wanting to get scuba certified or update their certification. Their dive shop has absolutely anything & everything, you could need or ever want for diving!!! Scuba on my friends!!!

I went to Ultimate Dive and travel to purchase a new wet suit for an upcoming trip. The staff was great at answering all of my questions and making sure I purchased the right suit for my needs. I went to Ultimate Dive & Travel (UDT) to get my SSI SCUBA Open Water Certification. I could not have made a better choice.
The shop is owned locally, something I support when I can. The dive shop owner and instructors obviously have a passion for diving. The instructors were all very experienced divers who enjoy sharing their knowledge of diving with new people. Classes were small group and the focus was on making diving an enjoyable and safe activity.
Classroom sessions were held at the dive shop near Shea and Scottsdale Road. While the in-water classes were held in a heated community pool in Mesa. I opted to complete my final open water certification dives at Lake Pleasant.
I would recommend UDT for beginner or advanced SCUBA classes or for a place to buy competitively priced equipment from a very friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Now I just need to decide when I can take my first dive trip and truly enjoy my new SCUBA skills.

Received my open water diver certification through Ultimate’s SSI certification program. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get their certification. The course includes 3 classroom sessions, 3 pool sessions, and a 2-day check-out cert dive. The combination ensures you feel comfortable, knowledgeable, and smart about diving. The dive shop owner (Evin) and all assistant instructors (Todd, Mark, Dale, etc.) are extremely knowledgeable and experienced to give you the best advice about diving. The dive shop itself offers top of the line gear, competitive pricing, and helpful staff. Evin will go out of his way to get you the gear you need if he doesn’t carry it, and to find the gear that best suits you and your needs. By far the best dive shop in the valley with extremely personable and helpful instructors and staff. HIGHLY recommend — never been disatisfied with my purchases at this shop. My dive shop of choice :)
