Waiting at the baggage claim at Phoenix airport, or hotel set up a car service for us so we waited, And then all of a sudden disheveled Man in a terrible fitting suit with a tie unloosened and sloppy. Mind you all the other drivers were holding signs with the customers last name on it, not at Transtyle, he was walking around baggage claim trying to figure out who his customers were. Finally he managed to bump it to us and asked if we were his customers, as a result we were. He carried our bags from the baggage claim to the parking garage he was parked in. Expecting a nice clean town car or SUV, we got a filthy suburban with the inside looking like someone lived in it. The driver barely could speak or understand English, Naturally making me wonder if he knew where he was going. We finally made it to the hotel, then he demanded we pay now even though the hotel was going to put on the bill he demanded we pay now. You paid now to avoid conflict and went into the hotel on our way. Since our hotel contracts with them, we had to use them yet again. This time our hotel called them to take us to breakfast in downtown Scottsdale. The driver dropped us off at the restaurant without an issue. But what we called him to come get us after breakfast then the problems began. We called him he said he’d be there in 10 minutes, but 10 minutes turned into 20 minutes, and then 20 minutes turned into 40 minutes. He finally called him and asked where are you? He replied with a text message that was barely in English that said something like an accident come now. Mind you that was no big accident in the sky harbor area like he claimed. After 45 minutes with me standing in the cold he finally showed up. Like I said above he went to this whole big spiel about how he got into an accident at Skyharbor airport, and he had avoid this and that. I think he was feeding a load of baloney. This driver did not drive very well he almost sideswiped a truck and almost struck me as he swung the town car onto the sidewalk. If you’re in the Phoenix Scottsdale area I do not recommend this chauffeur company at all!

Couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Transtyle! My daughter and her groom specifically requested a white Cadillac Escalade to take them away after their wedding reception. Transtyle had exactly what they wanted and the price was extremely reasonable. I told them we would be decorating the car for their getaway and they had no problem with it. They even arrived 20 minutes early to allow time for it, and loaded all of their gifts in the back! The bride and groom were extremely impressed with their driver who actually loaded all of their gifts onto a cart at the hotel and took them all the way up to their room! Really above and beyond good service! I will be using them again for our New Year’s Eve transportation!

Very impressed with service. Driver sent friendly text when he arrived at location. It was also helpful to have his phone number via text as added convenience if I happened not to see him.
Driver was early which was convenient for me. It was easy to locate him at entrance of hotel lobby, as he was waiting patiently with electronic device with my name on display.
Driver was very kind and I enjoyed the conversation during the ride to the airport. It added to my experience rather than just providing transactional transportation service.
Vehicles elegant, clean, and comfortable. A stress free and wonderful experience. Would recommend their services to anyone.

Horrible. We were supposed to be picked up at 5:50 for a big charity event and they never showed up even though everything was confirmed the day before AND an hour before. Even worse, we had to spend 5 minutes on the phone with someone who apparently had no idea where the car was and finally told us it would be another 10 – 15 minutes. We used Über instead.

Cons: Dirty/too warm vehicles and shady credit card practices in my case.
(First trip from Airport to Hotel:)
I made reservations online for a pick up at the Phoenix airport and used my credit card to hold the reservation because that is what is required when you reserve online. I called the company just to confirm the reservation and they told me that I could pay cash to avoid the 5% credit card fee they charge. Driver picked us up promptly after I called to say we had retrieved our luggage from baggage claim. The car was very hot however as the driver did not bother to cool it down before picking us up. Upon arriving at our destination I tried to pay cash (to avoid the credit card 5% fee they charge) but driver told me it was «taken care of» with no explanation and no receipt. I should have insisted upon a receipt. I asked him «who paid for the ride?» and he said «the company» so I figured the convention we were attending had covered our ride expense from the airport to the hotel. We then gave him a $ 10.00 tip (in cash) because we believe in tipping very strongly. Then a month later, I receive my credit card bill and not only was I charged on my credit card for the ride to the hotel from the airport but I was also charged the 5% fee and the $ 10.00 tip! So the driver got the tip in cash and on the credit card! So customers beware of the drivers using your credit card. Insist upon a receipt no matter what they say. I called the company and they did credit me the $ 10.00 tip but did not refund the 5% fee for the credit card being used, which I tried to avoid by paying cash.
(Return trip back to airport from hotel:)
Again the car was warm, not very clean and the trunk was broken. The trunk would open but the lid would come back down as soon as you opened it. We had an older female driver who was too frail to help with luggage. That was fine. But what we did not appreciate was that my husband was bashed on the head when the trunk lid came crashing down on him when he retrieved the luggage from the trunk.
Final analysis: I will not use this company ever again due to their shady credit card practices in my situation, whether or not it was intentional, and the condition of the cars and the drivers. But as I said, they were very prompt in picking us up.

Very iffy on this one. The ride from the resort to restaurant: the wait for the car was a bit long, but bearable, it cost $ 30 for a 2 mile ride. So OK, I guess. The ride from the restaurant back to the resort: the wait for the car was about 30 minutes! I had to call twice — the ‘new girl’ thought we said we were at the resort. Now, if were weren’t there, wouldn’t they have suspected something after a while? In any case, the only saving grace was that the return trip driver, the owner, did not charge us for that long 2 mile trip. I would be wary of the cost and the reliability.

Not honest and no integrity. Horrible — they falsified a document so the Driver can receive an additional tip. We already tipped him $ 7 on a $ 35 charge. He then added another $ 5 on the bill back to our hotel. I will never use them again.

My first ride was okay.
My second ride was awful. I had a 6am flight and requested to be picked up at 4am from my hotel. No one showed. I call and they say he’ll be there in just a minute. No one came. Finally, I talked to the bellman about other options and told him how no one showed up from Transtyle. He said, «oh, we have extra Transtyle cars right here.» Why are there extra cars when the one I reserved cant even show up on time.
The car smelled like someone shattered a bottle of cologne in it. The music was loud, especially for the wee hours of the morning.
Then, when we pulled up to the airport, he said I would have to pay cash because his system wasn’t working. I said, I don’t have cash, only a card and he said I’d have to go to the ATM inside the airport. I knew he was scamming me and told him I only have a credit card, so if he wanted to get paid, he’d have to accept it. Suddenly, his system was working. HE ASKED HOW MUCH I WAS GOING TO TIP HIM! He offered to calculate 20% or 25% for me. What a douche.
While I hope I just got a bad driver, I will not be using Transtyle ever again.

The best most reliable limo service in the Valley. I have used them for years and they are very flexible if you have to change a call, and their drivers are professional and well groomed. And the other day we were picked up in amazing Mercedes SUV that was big and spotless.

I just had the worst experience with this service. The driver was 30 mins late with no call. I had to call the company and they told me that the driver was already there. I was standing in my front yard and I can tell you he wasn’t there. He finally showed up in the hummer limo I ordered. He didn’t know how to drive it, couldn’t follow directions, started driving before my brother was in the car (one foot still outside) and it seemed like he had never driven before. We called the company asking for a different driver but there wasn’t one available. We ended our night early and I can tell you I will NEVER use this company again. There are too many other car services available.

This service used to be good when visiting Phoenix! Now they suck & IVAN is especially the worst. The JW Marriott should not contract with these people! We are offered discounts thru marriott club membership which the drivers choose to ignore. They are just the worst! Use Über!!!

Transtyle are crooks. The hotel in Scottsdale reccomended this service claiming we had a group rate of $ 20. When I called to book the reservation, I was told I didn’t call before the cutoff. What cutoff? So, I’m told itll be $ 40, but I can get the return to the airport for $ 20. When I called a few days later to confirm my ride, I was again told it would be $ 20. So, the driver picks me up, takes me to the airport and charges me $ 40. I am so disgusted. I called the company and I get the run around. Beware! Definitely unscrupulous and shady.

I was picked up at the Fairmont AZ and charged $ 15.00 to drive 2.5 klm to the mall.
When I got there, the driver was VERY rude. He told me he did not accept credit cards so I gave him a $ 20.00. The driver said he did not have any change, implying he would «keep the change». I told him that it was not my responsibility to provide change, he should provide change. After 5 mins, he ended up having the change all along.
I felt I was being scammed and I was nervous being in a car with such an aggressive guy so I took a different service (regular taxi) back and the driver was great!
I would have tipped the first guy but he was so rude and aggressive and lied about the change, so I did not tip him anything. He did provided me with the company business card and scratched the back so I could not expense it.
I complained to the Fairmont when I got back.
Terrible experience.
Be aware of drivers trying to scam you with «no change» BS.

Kind of tough to review via Unilocal as there is no breakdown of ride vs customer service. So, I’ll break it down for you:
1. Ride = Wonderful. Got there on time, in a super nice vehicle, with class. Driver found no need to do a lot of chit chat unless I started it. So, A ++ for that. Enjoyed the ride.
2. When I got out of car, gave him my credit card, he had automatically put in a 20% tip and just said sign at the bottom. I was always under the assumption that the customer decides when a tip should come, not the driver. Just poor form on the drivers part. I understand the need to try to make money off of the service, but trying to trick customers is another thing.

Would highly recommend this company, if you’re in need of door to door shuttle service.
The entire process from booking to the actual shuttle service went flawlessly, and everyone we dealt with was focused purely on our needs.

I received a message from a gentleman in Guest Services apologizing for me and my friends’ terrible experience and asking how they could make things right. Since I don’t live in Arizona and can’t give them another try until I visit again, I can say for now, that I appreciate that they contacted me.
