We provide love and care for your pets and your home, whether you are on vacation, working late at the office, crate training a new puppy, or physically unable to walk your dog — TLC will step in.

We give your pet one-​on-​one attention. As a team of four fabulous animal lovers, we can be there for you 365 days a year and cover 14 hours of pet sitting a day (6am — 8pm).

Our mission is to develop a long term relationship with you and your pet, filled with trust and love, by always being there when you need us and spending quality time doing activities your pet enjoys.

History

Established in 2001.

Prior to opening the doors, I first Incorporated the business, acquired insurance and bonding, and joined pet sitting organizations to learn as much as I could about the service.

Initially, I worked alone building up a client base and quickly realized how impossible it was to care for pets 365 days a year 14 hours per day. What if my car broke down or I got sick?

Eventually, I found pet lovers to work with me as a team to help provide love and care. As a team, we can always be there in case of an emergency.

I have been pet sitting the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and North East Phoenix area for 9 years. I have watched puppies become senior citizens, single clients get married. We have been there for people in good times and bad: weddings, funerals, births, emergencies, injuries, vacations, etc.

My name is Margie and I am the proud owner of TLC. While You’re Away. I moved from New York in 1995, bought my home in Mc Cormick Ranch with my 3 potbellies pigs and parrot and never looked back.

Prior to pursuing my dream of having my own business dedicated to pets — in New York, I was the 2^nd VP of Government Banking for Chase — in Arizona, I was the President of Desert Fare, Inc. a restaurant franchise.

Pet sitting was the perfect vehicle for me to utilize my business experience while pursuing my passion for pets
