History

Established in 2004.

This business was originally a franchise called Ship Rite and was purchased by the Vial Family in June 2004. The Vial’s converted the store to a The UPS Store franchise right after they purchased it from the previous owner. We are proud owners of this small business and love the customers in the nearby area and beyond.

I was born and raised in Arizona in 1973 as a third generation Arizonian. I attended Cocopah School from Kindergarten through 8^th grade. Attended Chaparral High for 4 years graduating in 1992. I then attended the University of Denver and graduated with a BSBA in General Business in 1996. I then went to work for my father at our wholesale beauty supply company called Phoenix Beauty Supply in both Arizona and Southern California. Purchased a wine store called Wine Port of La Jolla in 1998 and ran that store with a deli inside for 4 years. I then moved with my wife and child to Joplin, MO to work as a sales manager for a beauty supply in the Midwest. In 2004, I bought this The UPS Store along with another UPS Store located at Tatum & Shea and we now have 3 beautiful girls in the family which attend the local schools which we love to support.

I love this store. The two women that run this store are professional and know their business. I recently heard that you could send your suitcase to a hotel via UPS. So i decided to avoid the lines at the airport when checking your suitcase and send it ahead. What a great idea. It was cost effective, and it arrived on time. I always have good service at this location. cannot say that when i have stopped at other locations. Good Job!

Fantastic customer service experience. I walked in the store trying to find a solution to ship a large over sized package from my house. They offered to come get the dimensions at my home since I could not find a box that worked.
The store manger said their team members can make a custom crate — I did not even know this was an option.
The following day a store employee came to our house and picked up the package, built a create and got it delivered with a Tracking number within 48 hours.
Thanks for going the extra mile to save my back and picking it up at our home. The small pick up fee was worth it. It could not have been easier! Thanks guys!

If I could give 0 stars I would. First time I went here to mail a package it took longer than the longest line at the post office & I was their only customer. I don’t know if it’s a training issue??? So I tried their services a second time just out of convenience of where the store is located. Again, the service was slow & no one seemed to know what they were doing. If you’re looking for entertainment & want to watch people walk around looking like they have been transported to an unknown place than by all means walk into this store. But if you are looking for efficient & good customer service, keep it moving. To top it all off, the last package I entrusted to this establishment did not make it to its destination. They of course blame UPS which they say if no affiliation… but it’s a UPS Store. They accepted zero responsibility and offered to resend at 20% discount. No thanks.

Had to mail a large package to North Pole, Alaska, and, of course, didn’t want to wait in line at the post office. I called this UPS Store, and talked with a young lady, who cheerfully told me their hours, and informed me that it would be less expensive to ship parcel post through the post office itself.
The next day, I stopped with the package (it was huge) and a young man helped me. He was just as cheerful, and again informed me that it would be cheaper to mail through the post office. I just wanted to get it in the mail, and told him to go ahead and ship it. He also informed me that there would be no guarantee of delivery time (I knew that parcel post was shipped to Alaska by slow boats, and sometimes took up to 30 – 45 days to get there).
That’s all you can hope for — cheerful service, and people that inform you of options and possible problems.
