Just a few days old– I don’t recall this café being open at Camelview’s grand opening on the evening of December 17th. I asked one of the managers at the ticketing counter where I may find«gelato or ice cream,» and he personally walked me over to the café. That is what we would describe where I work«five– diamond service!» I asked if Mom and I could sample a few flavors– she tried the pistachio and espresso, but found them too sweet, while I tried the espresso and dark chocolate. It took me a couple of mini-spoonfuls to fully appreciate the 72% dark chocolate’s nuances after just tasting the sweet espresso. Each flavor on its own was delicious, with the espresso being a bit sweeter than I’d like, but together were very, very good! The chocolate isn’t too sweet and helped to cut the sugar in the espresso. $ 4.50 for one scoop, and $ 6.50 for two, tax included. Served in a recyclable plastic tulip cup. Since Mom didn’t want any, I ate about half(didn’t want to consume all of those calories!), washed down the rest at the sink in the women’s restroom, and rinsed out the cup to recycle at home. I hope Harkins installs recycle trash bins all over the lobby to help guests reduce pollution! I will be back to order coffee from here to drink inside the theater. The coffee supplier is local Cartel!
