Real estate isn’t just a passion for Joshua, it flows through his veins… literally, actually! His parents, Kirsten and Doug Hill, have been working in real estate together since 2002. As a proud graduate of Arizona State University with a Business degree and minor in Spanish, following in those footsteps only seemed natural for Joshua. Both Joshua and his clients benefit from Kirsten and Doug’s wealth of experience. To date, they have helped over 500 clients buy and sell homes in the Greater Phoenix Area, with an emphasis on Phoenix’s East Valley. As a resident of the East Valley (Chandler, Tempe, and Scottsdale) since 1996, Joshua has a strong affection for the area, but his niche, along the Camelback Corridor, stems from his love of the area where he now lives with his wife, Lisette. As an active member of the community, Joshua also enjoys volunteering for his church, the All Saints Catholic Newman Center, Habitat for Humanity, and Ronald McDonald House.

I recently used the Hill Group to sell my home and could not be pleased with the service Josh provided. We had offers within a week of placing the home on the market. I can only say Joshua Hill is the absolute best if you want someone who’s highly skilled in all aspects of real estate. I had already met Josh a few years back and the sale didn’t go through with no fault of either one of us. I ended up purchasing a year after that but not through the Hill Group. Forward to the recent sale of my property, I wanted to go back to Josh again so I gave him a call and he remembered me. He was absolutely terrific and the tenant I had in there was being a bit difficult with regards to showings, etc, but Josh was so professional and made him feel so at ease that anything Josh needed done to get the sale going, the tenant ended up being so cooperative. Within a matter of a week or so, there was an offer, then it fell through, then again another offer, then that fell through with no fault of Josh. Of course Josh and I were making jokes saying that it could only happen to me! Needless to say, Josh worked even harder and lo and behold the same buyer came through the second time and that’s when the real fun began! Closing was supposed to happen on time, and Josh took care of EVERYTHING, from dealing with my property manager to the inspections, to the title company, and then DRAMA occurs right before closing with the buyer’s title company. Once again, in all of Josh’s years THIS situation has NEVER happened (of course only with me). But Josh was on top of it, e-​mailing and making phone calls and doing whatever he needed to do to get this closed as soon as possible. And 2 weeks after, on the first of Feb. he called me and congratulated me and told me that he had no more bad news and that closing has finally arrived! We laughed and joked about it and I couldn’t be more grateful to have Josh and his amazing skills with all types of people in all types of industries. It takes a highly skilled and motivated individual to accomplish what I thought would be the impossible with all the obstacles that stood in our way but he did it! Thanks so much Josh!

I thought I was a pretty savvy homeowner, until I met Joshua Hill. From the very first day, Joshua was hands on from helping me stage the backyard to returning a wind chime after the close of our home in Chandler. We listed the house above what we thought we could get based on Joshua’s recommendation, and we actually received four offers with two over list price on the first day on the market!
I had hoped our transaction would have gone smoothly, but we were faced with a dozen challenges and disappointments from the buyers. Fortunately, Joshua reacted swiftly to each situation and at times resolved issues prior to notifying us. Joshua not only put out fires with our best interest in mind, but he kept us informed and was easily accessible. Bottom line, even under the worst circumstances, we managed to close within 30 days with all parties completely satisfied.
I have never worked with such a bright, proactive and strong negotiator as Joshua. Our transaction could have easily blown up without him, and we are truly grateful that we selected The Hill Group.

Josh from The Hill Group sold our rental condo in two days for close to listing price.
I live in Los Angeles and decided to sell our condo in Scottsdale. The previous renters left the place a mess. Josh helped rehab the place in less than 6 days (paint, carpet, cleaning, and repairs). The vendors Josh suggested were priced reasonably, showed up as promised and completed the work on schedule and on budget. Josh would check on the place daily and would e-​mail photo’s.
I still can’t believe that with Josh’s help it took a total of 8 days to rehab, list, negotiate and hang a SOLD sign.
Once the condo went into escrow, Beth from The Hill Group kept us informed of every step and made sure that the condo closed on time.
I never had to leave California for the repairs or closing.
I highly recommend The Hill Group and Josh if you have a property to sell. He knows the market. He knows what buyers are looking for as far as carpets, paint color, etc… Take his suggestions if you want a quick sale!

With only 12 days to locate and buy a property, my husband and I followed our son’s advice to use the same realtor he had used, Andrew Hill of the Hill Group, who was accustomed to working with out-​of-​state buyers. Andrew promised he’d find us a property, which he did with constant attention, even offering to work on Sunday. Once my husband and I decided it was time to buy our 1st home I started researching realtors/​agents/​brokers. I found Steven right here on Unilocal.I read all sorts of good stuff about him so we gave him a call. I left him a vm and he returned my call within the hour. I wouldn’t say we were difficult clients –I’m sure we all say that ;) — but I changed my home search criteria quite a bit. Okay, a lot! We went from wanting a really old home, single story, to a new home, two story. We even looked at new builds. Then we decided to change locations (Phx, Tempe, Mesa) and finally settled on Gilbert. We then changed our price range several times (my decision. it was never suggested by Steven). It was our first home and it was hard for us to decide on certain things. Not once did Steven get frustrated or inpatient with us. Whenever we changed something he was totally fine with it. He actually helped us find what we were looking for! He always gave us good advice throughout the process. Steven always responded to my calls, e-​mails and texts. No matter the time of day! He’s a great listener, energetic, confident and never seems intimidated when around other realtors. It’s obvious Steven knows what he’s doing! Oh, and his team is also incredible! I got an offer for the full price of the asking price within 24 hours!!!
Before the house went on the market, Josh & his team helped make sure my house was set up just right. Also Josh suggested a higher price than I thought I would get and he was 100% right. The house offer was for the amount he suggested.
More than the sale of the house, he was there every step of the way. From the photographs to the closing at the Title Company, Josh was there. AND Josh helped with all the usual back and forth between buyers and sellers. This can be stressful and Josh was just great throughout.
I did a lot of research before I decided on a Realtor. Being an analytical type, I created a comparison of Realtors on experience, houses selling for asking price and time to sell. The Hill Group came out on top. It was a great decision and I couldn’t be happier.

We cannot say enough good things about using Joshua Hill of The Hill Group to sell our first home in Gilbert. Not only did he create a fantastic and thorough presentation to show us why using The Hill Group would be the best choice for us, he proved it time and again throughout the process. We found the staging consultant and professional photographs invaluable and were thrilled when Joshua got us a full price offer after only three days on the market, when another agent estimated 60 days on the market and $ 10,000 less for our home. Joshua continued to go above and beyond, attending meetings with repair workers when we could not be there, answering the many questions we had throughout the process, and giving great advice that helped make the process as smooth as possible.

My experience with The Hill Group was short and unproductive. I spoke with one of their agents on the phone this morning to begin looking for houses as I prepare to relocate to the Phoenix area. The agent said that he would work with me. A few hours later, I received an email from the agent saying that, at my price range, houses go quick. He concluded by saying that he may not have the time to help me. I do not mind agents being too busy to take on new clients, however, I would have wanted him to express this concern during the initial phone call. The overall experience left me with the notion that his reason for backing out was because my price range was not high enough. I give them one star.

Simply The Best!
I have purchased and sold several homes through a Realtor in my lifetime but I have never experienced the superior service that Doug, Kirsten and The Hill Group provides. I am from out of state and was lucky enough to stumble upon them via Unilocal.They held my hand and guided me through the long-​distance sale of my parents home and kept my time in Phoenix to a minimum. When we were preparing to sell our home in North Scottsdale in January, 2014, we turned to Unilocal to find a reputable realtor. We came across the Hill Group, who had unanimously glowing reviews (our cynical sides questioned whether they wrote the reviews themselves). We made an initial call to one of the agents (Joshua) and left a voice mail message. Joshua returned the call within 5 minutes (no exaggeration). We set up a time to meet him and hear his «pitch» to become our agent. My husband had already done a lot of his own research into the market, so we had a good idea of the current climate and an appropriate list price.
Joshua arrived at our home with a glossy binder that included a full market analysis, the usual comps, an outline of their services and marketing strategy, etc. The usual stuff, but importantly, there were none of the red flags that we were wary of with realtors (like the slick realtor who promises s/​he can sell your house for 100K above the comps). We were so impressed with his presentation that we decided to forego our other planned agent interviews and hire the Hill Group.
Keep in mind that I was 9-​months pregnant when we listed our home and not keen on a protracted process, so we put a lot of pressure on Joshua to get us a fast sale. We had tons of showings (probably 30 in total), sold the house in 6 weeks (3x faster than average) and at 98.7% of our asking price. Joshua was responsive to all of our questions/​pressures during the process and followed up with the buyers agents whenever we asked. I would highly recommend the Hill Group and am happy to add our own unabashedly glowing review to the growing list!

I partnered with The Hill Group to sell my house. They did an outstanding job even before the house was ever put on the market. Local market research was thorough with detailed comps and statistics. They provide access to a staging consultant and real estate photographer free of charge. The photos used in the listing were fantastic.
The Hill Group did a very good job of generating interest and traffic through the house. It took longer to sell than I had hoped, but that’s because it fell out of contract twice. It was never on the open market for very long because they do a great job marketing their listings.
When choosing an agency, you really want a team that understands the nuances of the local neighborhoods. The Hill Group does this, and they’re in the sweet spot with respect to volume. They’re big enough where you get access to good marketing campaigns yet they still provide individual attention because every sale is important to them.

The Hill group was amazingly efficient and professional in both the selling of our old home and the buying of our new one. Joshua was infinitely patient as we worked in a tight market to find a new place that suited us. His recommendations were carefully considered to meet our needs/​wants. When we finally found the home we wanted, he acted immediately to secure it, ahead of other bids that came in that same day. Joshua took the time to really listen to us and to be sure we were comfortable with each step of the process.

My husband and I just completed the process of buying our first home with The Hill Group. They had been recommended by a couple of friends and we are glad that we chose them. Steven James was our realtor and he was always very professional and communicative. Every time we called him or texted him he responded promptly.
