I just signed my 4^th lease here and love living here. Kathy and Beth are in the front office and are so nice and helpful. George and Ryan are the maintenance guys and do a great job and come quickly. Yes it is an older complex but they do a good job keeping it up. I trust the maintenance guys and they have always fixed any problem that has come up throughout my current 3 years here. I love the location. Its quiet and nice people are here.

I have lived here for three years. Recently, the property management wrote me a letter stating that this is a smoke free unit. I do not smoke. If one of my guests smoke outside, that is none of their business! My lease is up this month! Not renewing.

Worst place I have every lived… We are getting ready to move out at the end of our lease (THANK GOD!)
For starters, Maintenance is nearly impossible to get if you speak with Cathy. When we first moved in, we wanted to run our dishes through a quick cycle in the dishwasher before putting them away. The dishwasher damn near flooded the kitchen in 10 minutes. It took them 3 days before anyone was able to come look at it. They replaced it with an even cheaper dishwasher that you can only load half full to get your dishes even close to clean. Then after about a month of living here, we noticed the AC was leaking. It wasnt much at first, but we called down anyway. Cathy told us it was just condensation and was normal for that time of year. She advised that we not turn the AC off when we leave (even though we werent) that would help… ok. A month goes by and it is progressively getting worse, she again said its normal. Then winter weather started and we used our fireplace more than anything for warmth. Then came about feb when we started to use the AC again. Same problem. I waited a month before calling again, this time I told her someone needed to come look at it. I told her a day I would be home from work to let the workers in and look. She said ok. Well she sent them on the wrong day and said I told her the wrong day and she didnt know when they would be able to reschedule
we inevitably gave up and have been soaking a towel every two days with the amount it leaks. its constant and annoying. The stove. I only have one small burner that actually works well. the large burner will work when it wants to, but sometimes goes out in the middle of cooking or boiling anything, it is beyond annoying
Quality. EVERYTHING IS CHEAP! The dishwasher cant be fully loaded or your dishes wont be clean, and it is ridiculously loud. The AC is so loud it sometimes wakes me up at night when i kicks on. The paint they use is a freaking joke… If you put anything on any pained surfaces, it peels when you remove it, no matter how light the contact it or how long its been there. Also if you like to decorate, avoid this place. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN. The towel bar in the 2^nd bath literally fell out of the wall when I put three towels on it (for decoration, they were not thick or heavy). So now there is a hole We have to patch, or we will be charged for it. I hung one curtain rod and immediately regretted it. much like the bathroom, it ripped out of the wall after a week. I didnt bother trying to put up the others. YOU HEAR EVERYTHING. the neighbors use the bathroom or shower? you hear it. They turn on the AC? you hear the unit run the whole time. The go out the back sliding door? you hear it. They watch a movie? you know it. You will also notice (and this may just be ours since we are on the second floor) the floor isnt level. there are many uneven areas. Most noted is in the kitchen, and the guest bath.
EVEN THOUGH THEY HIRE CLEANERS, CLEAN EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU SETTLE IN. We found paper covering most light fixtures, gritty sand like stuff one the closet shelves, bathtubs had residue on them (im assuming from whatever was used to clean them), and WHEN WE WENT TO DO LAUNDRY FOR THE FIRST TIME MY BOYFRIEND FOUND A THONG AND SOCKS FROM THE PREVIOUS TENANT ON THE FLOOR!
Inconvenient set up. Throughout the entire apartment, there is only one place you can set up your router and such for internet. Also, the placement for cable in the living room is in the dumbest possible place. We had to run the cable along the carpet and up the wall to set it up. i trip over the cable constantly. There is also only one place to have it in the bedroom.
PARKING SUCKS! They tell you its «assigned» but its not really. you get a pittle permit sticker to put in your window, but they dont have anyone who actually checks to make sure everyone in a covered space has a permit. The workers park their little golf cart in resident covered parking, and they dont share a space, they take up two seperate spaces. And the office staff parks in the covered parking. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I recently moved to the Valley from Nebraska. After having previously lived here I knew the areas I wanted to live. Never did I think I would find a 2bd 2ba in north scottsdale for under $ 800! From the time I looked at the apartment to when I moved in was a total of 2 days, very quick process. The apartment is clean and spacious, both bathrooms are good size with the sinks in a separate room and the shower/​tub toilet in an attached room. The carpet is older and is about at the end of its life, I’d suggest replace it with the laminate that is in the kitchen and bathrooms. But so far I would say the property seems safe and clean and my neighbors appear to be normal and so far quiet. I also have a ground level end unit so I have a HUGE outside patio area and a terrace for gardening. The pool areas are small but very nice. I love that it is a pet friendly complex!

Terrible experience with the staff. Drove all the way to look at the place only to be turned away because I was there 30 min before they closed instead of an hour earlier at 5pm. They were not willing to show an apartment. Good preview of the type of laziness I’d be dealing with if i were to live there. No thanks.

Lived there for four months, felt like a year! The management was HORRENDOUS! VERY unaccommodating, RUDE and basically did anything they could to be a pain for us! They told us they would hold our deposit checks until a certain date and DIDN’T! Our account bounced thanks to them.
The complex itself was quiet and has a nice pool! Workout room is very small but is quiet so not inconvenient.
Again, beware of the management! They KNEW we were coming from out if town, driving from three states away! We got a little turned around in Flagler so we were running behind, our GPS said we would arrive right as they close, literally like RIGHT as they close. We called several times, they said they couldn’t guarantee anyone would be there after close even though they know we’re driving 2100 miles to get there and just want to move in already. I would understand if had been more than 5 minutes late, but we pulled up to the office three minutes after they closed. REALLY?! You can’t stay three minutes to give us our key? You can’t spare a few minutes of your precious time to make somebody’s long hard day a little bit brighter? I was irate! Way to start off a lease on the wrong foot. I was VERY rude the next morning, after driving all day, giving the courtesy of calling as soon as we knew we were behind schedule, only to find out that we had to then search for a hotel, none of which were inexpensive in the area, only to wake up first thing and try to get our key which SHOULD have been in our possession the night before.
This was 2009, so could be different management by now; I sure hope so!

For the price and the location, The Equestrian apartments are pretty great. They’re older, so the appliances could definitely use an upgrade, but the maintenance guys are great and when I lived there, I never waited more than a day for something to be fixed.
It was about $ 750 for a one bedroom and that included water– give or take a few bucks. They also have washers and dryers included in each apt.
The only thing I really didn’t like at all was the bathroom. It was tiny. And the shower was tiny. Every time I took a shower, something was guaranteed to fall of the little tiny shelf about five times. First it would be my razor, then my shampoo, then the soap and well, you get the picture. Taking a shower in that thing was frustrating and annoying. Maybe the 2 bedrooms are different and have bigger showers, not sure.
And the bathtub made me feel like I was in a coffin because it was extremely long and narrow. So I could never take a bath without getting a little creeped out.
