Generally hit and miss on your drink order at this Starbucks. Honestly, the mornings are very dependable, but afternoons are disappointing. Generally the afternoons have the most inexperienced and poorly trained staff. Much of the afternoons, there’s a new employee taking orders that has the line backed way up. The main barista(afternoons) generally lacks in quality control. Today I asked for extra foam, but got no foam. As you would expect, the temperature of the drink was warm, not hot. To correct it, he didn’t offer to remake the drink, he poured part of it out and put a little foam on top, reapplied the caramel(was a caramel macchiato) and handed it to me. So I had a warm(not hot) drink with way too much caramel. I’m totally understanding of getting a drink order wrong now and then, but at least remake the drink! I would have said something, but it’s embarrassing to ask them to remake the drink if the barista insists on trying to fix a bad drink. I’ll still continue to come here most every day, but there’s rarely a barista you can depend on after the morning shift. If you happen to come in the afternoon, the odds of getting a bad drink go way up. If I’m coming out to the mall in the afternoon, I have better luck if I go to the Starbucks on Indian School and Scottsdale Rd first, then skip the mall location altogether. There are good baristas at this location, but I rarely get a good drink in the afternoon.

They used to have a barista that I like to call Axle Jammer. She was the most beautiful and greatest barista in all the land, but after the new manager took over, she quit. I will no longer be a regular here due to shit service and lack of beautiful baristas.

I get drinks here on a regular basis because I work in the mall. For the most part the drinks are good but its inconsistent. When you buy a drink its wrong about 1⁄3 or ½ of the time. I usually get a carmel macchiato, a very common drink, and it doesn’t come out consistently. It seems to alternate between too bitter, too sweet, and correct. I just paid five dollars for a cup of ice with maybe an ounce of drink. Its dissapointing.

I’m sorry about this review I work at the mall and tend to go to this Starbucks every single morning. Ever since John(the old manager) left the coffee I kid you not tastes so bad I’m not sure if they hired all new people but this is my third day in a row getting a horrible chai, pumpkin spice and the chestnut latte have all tasted like water literally un drinkable if I wanted just hot water with a itty bit of powder I would just make it at home not pay $ 5 for it. You need to train these people to learn how to make a decent drink please. I’m the type of person who hates having to go back and tell the workers they made a horrible coffee(I still haven’t done it) but I’m hoping this review will help better the staff at making drinkable beverages

We ordered a passion tea lemonade and a bottled water, which he forgot to hand back to us. I thought they were just holding onto it and would give it to us with our tea. But my daughter wasn’t feeling well so I politely asked the girl making the drinks if we could get it. She very rudely said«you can get one out of the case over there» and I proceeded to tell her I paid for it but the gentleman forgot to hand it to me. In which she again very rudely said«I get that you paid for it, but you can go get one over there». It appeared that a manager stepped in, young blonde,(didn’t get her name) very nice and almost apologetic, saying«oh yes, it’s right here». The girl, who I was told name is Tara, continued to give me dirty looks as if I did something wrong!!! When I was just asking for the water for my daughter who didn’t feel well. She needs to be put in check or let go because she is in a customer service position which requires one to be warm, friendly and helpful and she was none of these. According to the manager, she was taking a lot of mental notes on that girl Tara that day. I’m glad she noticed. Won’t be going back.

Probably the worst customer service I have gotten from a Starbucks. I came in at around 9am for a quick breakfast and drink. I was looking for a cheese Danish but they didn’t have it and when I asked the lady, she abruptly said«no, that’s all we got out here». I understand not everyone is a morning person, but holly cow, it’s so depressing when you walk in this place. The workers are not happy and you can totally tell, especially the older lady who was working. She straight up judged me the moment I walked in. I gave 2 stars because they did get my order right, they were just very rude about everything else. It wasn’t busy but it was kind of early so maybe just don’t go in the morning so you will get a better start off of your day.

This is the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. They never get my drink right and they can never make a good drink. Every shot they pull is old by the time they use it. The worst part is that whenever I do stop in here it’s really early in the morning, and I’m the only one customer. Lately the only thing I’ve stopped in here for is to buy a water bottle on my way to the mountain I hike. I got a vanilla latte a couple minutes ago: it’s bitter. I’m going to start going out of my way if I need water in the morning because I just can’t bear to give them any more of my money.

The staff here is super friendly. One of the baristas named Lindsey was so nice to every single customer even if they were rude to her. You go, girl! Keep it up, sbucks! Thanks for making my experience so great!

I love Starbucks! This Starbucks has no inside seating so it only gets four stars. The coffee is always good and the misters will keep you coolish in the summer. Cars are always zipping by so this is not the quietest location to relax and enjoy your coffee but it is convenient to the mall. There are other better Starbucks locations in Scottsdale but if you are stuck in the mall, this place will serve your coffee needs.

There is no seating inside, but a lot of seating outside. I asked for a Chonga bagel. No, it is NOT the same as an Everything bagel even if the barista tries to tell you it is! How do I know this? We have both in Washington state, and the Chonga is yummy. Luckily, she didn’t have to believe me, as the other barista backed up my statement. The coffee was fine, and I doubled up on my sugar high by having a chocolate croissant instead of a Chonga bagel. If you get to the great state of Washington, do yourself a favor and try the Chonga! If not, eat the chocolate croissant, which is really great warmed up! Location is handy if shopping in the mall, but can be rather hot in the summers with only outside seating even with the misting system.

Typical Starbucks located conveniently in Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, decided to caffeinate(it’s not a word, but it should be) myself before shopping. Pretty small location, but has plenty of outdoor seating in and out of the sun. There’s no indoor seating though! Ordered my typical Iced Caramel Macchiato and it came out in a timely manner. Really clean, stocked and filled with Starbucks goodies you can pick up.

The staff was very nice. The service was fast and the barista knew exactly what I wanted and how to prepare it to my liking. I would recommend anybody who would want to hangout or enjoy their favorite coffee at this location. Sofas and chairs are provided outside with shading. Let’s not forget the free wifi for those of you who are saving their data. Lol.

We’ve been to this Starbucks a few times when we go to the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. It’s pretty smile on the inside and always packed. The service is typical for Starbucks, but the seating arrangement is slightly different. This one has far more seating outside as opposed to the usual Starbucks which has more seating inside. The outdoor seating is in a nice little breeze way of the mall, however there is a lot of vehicle noise because there’s a valet parking area right there. There are a lot of comfortable benches and tables outside though, which makes it nice for sitting and enjoying the breeze on a nice day. The area is shaded as well, which helps.

This location is great if you are at the mall and need a pick me up or want a drink /snack. The staff is nice and the drinks are consistent. They do not have any indoor seating, but have plenty of spaces outside. It’s a good spot to people watch and hang out for a bit if the weather is nice enough. It does have fans and misters in the summer, and it’s under an overhang, so it’s shady, but the heat can get overwhelming in mid-summer, but you can always just walk over to the A/C inside the mall. Overall: B+ Decent location for the chain, good outdoor seating if the weather is right, but only come here if you are going to the mall, otherwise it’d be a difficult in /out trip.

[Out-of-Towner-Review] This by far is my favorite Starbucks(maybe ever)… …simply because they hung a huge SF Giants flag right above their barista drink-making machine area! Flying the Orange and Black pride, like nobody’s business. They didn’t mess up my simple iced coffee w/soy and one pump classic, so that’s another bonus. The Barista’s were cordial and busy, but isn’t that how all Starbucks tend to be?!? That flag, it got me!
