The Southwest Group is a private investigations and security consulting firm. The Southwest Group is also a Certified Private Process Server for the State of Arizona Superior Court. Through our strategic partners the Southwest Group also can provide physical security services, armed and unarmed security guards, and security alarms and video surveillance systems. The Southwest Group was formed to provide professional, ethical and reliable services to businesses, attorneys and private individuals. The management of the firm, and the associated investigators, are diverse with their training and experience in the industry. All members of the Southwest Group team are educated, experienced, certified and credentialed in their areas of expertise and service. Richard Luehring is the Principal and Founder of Southwest Group. Robert Nalett is a Consultant and Investigator with the Southwest Group.

Business Owner

Richard B Luehring, the Principal and founder of Southwest Group, has over thirty years of experience in the security and loss prevention industry. He possesses a diversified corporate background in retail, healthcare and hospitality. Mr. Luehring has made professional presentations on loss prevention, security and investigations to organizations such as National Association of College Bookstores, National Sporting Goods Association and the Southwest Security Conference.

Richard is a Certified Institutional Protection Manager with the International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection. He is also Homeland Security Instructor for the Frontline Responder Training Course — Terrorism Awareness: Protecting Soft Targets. He is an instructor for Emergency Responder Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Technician — Hospital Provider Course. In addition, Richard is certified through John E. Reid and Wicklander — Zulawski & Associates.
