A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! The laser hair removal did not work even a little. Halfway through my treatments they started calling it «laser hair reduction» and told me it only worked on dark hairs, which it didn’t even do that. They told me if I left a Unilocal review I would receive a free treatment (which I’m assuming is the only reason they have any positive reviews), so I did and they cancelled the day of my appointment, which was also 2 days before my wedding. So all of the other appointments a bride has right before her wedding was juggled for nothing. Four days before my wedding they burned the front of my neck, it looked like I had a huge hickey which started flaking on my wedding day. They did absolutely nothing to try to remedy the situation. They would always answer the phone in the middle of my treatments and never left the room while I was undressing for my Brazilian (I’m pretty sure that’s illegal). $ 900 would have been worth it if it actually got rid of the hair, but I don’t have that kind of money to be throwing around for nothing, which is exactly what I did. I tried to get in contact with them a month after my treatments when I saw zero results but could not. Very unprofessional company.

Went to Cara for Series of Profractional laser treatments… SCORE!!! Wonderful/​FABULOUS RESULTS!!! People are saying I look 10 yrs younger!!! Thank you CARA!!!

I found this spa through Groupon. I have already had two procedures in the past two weeks. My technician was Yancey whom is amazing and zoned in on my desires and goals. I had a lot of sun damage and a scar on my face. My first procedure was a dermaplane with a peel. My face glowed and facial hair gone Yay! Next I decided through Yancey’s advice to have a refraction laser procedure. This was a more aggressive procedure removing my damaged skin and resulting in regeneration of new cells. I am so happy to have a second chance for a younger looking face. I highly recommend Scottsdale Skin and Holistic Health Spa!!!

I am more than happy with the results I have seen with just 2 of my 6 laser hair removal treatments. I am delighted to know I no longer need to suffer from embarrassing hair in unwanted places. Kristen Tate does a fantastic job, ensuring to carefully cover each area of treatment. I was impressed by her focus and ability to give me a thorough treatment, but making me feel extremely comfortable the entire time.
The facility is clean, comfortable, modern, and very tasteful. In a medical spa, it is typical to not see linen on treatment areas, and find these poor reviews to be a joke. Industry standard requires a cleaning of any surface coming in contact with people between each and every individual… I would be disgusted to walk into a facility where medical grade treatments are done… on sheets. My treatment area was extremely clean.
I was treated with the utmost respect, care, all questions answered, etc. I did not come to this facility to talk, make friends, social, etc. I came for a series of treatments (which were purchased at an unbelievably agreeable rate) to be done efficiently, and correctly. Which they were. I am delighted to continue my services, explore SSHHS’s menu, and encourage others to get excellent med spa treatments.

I had a wonderful first time experience with Carra! She was very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained to me the different procedures they performed at their office. She answered any question I had without hesitation, and that made me feel comfortable and at ease in her knowledge about skin care. She got rid of thoes little annoying white dots on my face (can’t remember the technical term) and I was able to experience a chemical peel for my first time. I love the results and would recommend to any of my friends. Also, I purchased a facial moisturizer that works wonders on my skin. Love it!

Kim Parmly is truly the best! She does excellent work, is very knowledgeable in laser/​skin care and is super friendly. I will definitely recommend her to my friends!

I wasn’t going to write a review until I saw Joan P.‘s below. It sounds almost identical to my experience. I also purchased the dermaplane/​glycolic peel through Living Social or Groupon (can’t remember which).
I thought it was very strange that the esthetician (Cara, I believe) barely spoke. Since I’m not much of a talker I was down with that. But I wasn’t down with the lack of curiosity in how my skin was, type, what treatments I was currently doing, etc. I’ve never had a facial/​dermaplane/​laser treatment without the person asking about my skin and what I’ve been using.
She got done with the dermaplane very quickly, I was impressed with her speed until I got home and saw she missed half my face. I’m very peach-​fuzzy so it was pretty obvious. Hands-​down the very worst demaplane I’ve ever had… and I’ve had many.
I did actually take advantage of her sales pitch to get a different service for discounted price at a later date. I did the photofacial. It was my first, seemed OK. I may have noticed an improvement afterwards. It was hard to tell after just one session.
I will not be back. It seems pretty overpriced for what it is, and the very apparent lack of interest in their clients is unacceptable.

Cara is amazing. Her attention to your needs is truly a rare thing to find. So many places are all about the money, but Cara takes the time to ask and answer questions. I am so ecstatically thrilled with the result of removing age-​spots from my face, arms and hands. Next goal: hair removal! Thanks, Cara!

I find it some what incongruent that a place with the word «Holistic» in its name would have a 25 cent, knob-​turn candy machine right inside the door within the reception area. It contained peanut M&Ms, plain M&Ms and some peanuts. The machine was dirty, each container was about ¹⁄₅^th full of product and looked like t hadn’t been serviced in ages. Just weird to have a health and beauty business with an arcade candy machine in it, as the first thing you see when you step inside the door.
I went in for a dermaplane/​peel that I bought through a Living Social. The technician was also the receptionist and she barely spoke to me as we walked down the hall and went into the room where the service would be performed. I thought she would make some type of small talk, or ask me how my day was going, or if I’d like some water or ANYTHING to make the silent trudge to the room less awkward.
The table where I was supposed to lie down had no covering (e.g. no sheet, towels, disposable paper) on it, which is instantly gives me a gross vibe — nothing to come between me and the hundreds of other people that have laid there. Not very professional.
The technician did not ask me ANY of the typical questions that are customarily asked by skin professionals (e.g. what type of peels have you had before, what is your daily skin regimen, what type/​brand of products do you use, etc.). Those questions are always asked so the technician can assess how to best serve the client, perform the service to maximize effectiveness and understand what additional products or services might be of help to the client’s skin.
Instead, she started right in on the pitch for the most expensive service on the menu — profractional resurfacing. The two questions she DID ask me had nothing to do with my skin or my prior skin services/​experiences/​expectations. She asked me what part of town I live in and «Do you always use Groupons or Living Socials for your skin services?» How insulting.
Anyone would be able to discern that she was attempting to figure out if I was #1 — likely to return and #2 pay regular price. There are other subtle ways to glean this information without asking such blatantly rude questions. Perhaps you could couch those two questions within a meaningful conversation covering the pertinent and expected topics I referred to above.
Then, in the middle of my service, she answered her cell phone. I have NEVER had any professional do that before. I don’t care that it was likely a call in to the business, but you don’t put down your implements in the middle of a client appointment and answer the phone!!! I was totally shocked and turned off (even more).
Towards the end of my service, she gave me the ol’ worn-​out «If you buy TODAY, we’ll give you half off the regular price of any service you purchase.» Please… that whole «buy today» tactic is a 70±year-old, high pressure/​time-​sensitive sales approach that, to me, immediately conjures up credibility issues to any business that is still attempting it.
The end result of the service itself was sub-​part, in that she missed several areas on my face with the derma plane, and my skin did not exfoliate or «peel» at all from the glycolic «peel». I had to ask for a sunscreen application at the end of the service, which is ALWAYS standard procedure in any other place that performs skin treatments.
Glancing at the price sheet she gave me (before I threw it in the garbage on my way to the car), I saw that their regular price for JUST a dermaplane service is $ 150!!! You MUST be kidding. I have never paid more than $ 60 for that service at the usual medical-​grade skin care places I patronize, which are administered by technicians that are much more proficient — both in their people skills and technical skills.
Two stars is pretty generous for what I experienced.

Love this place! Cara did a photofacial to get rid of the brown spots on my face from sun damage. It was very quick and painless and the results are awesome! Also did several treatments of laser hair removal on my underarms and very pleased with the results. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!!!

Cara is AMAZING! After just one treatment on a scar on my face it looks SO much smaller and smoother. Also the laser hair removal treatments are the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I would trust Cara to do miracles on anything I need more beautiful :)

Cara is AMAZING! That is the only way to describe my experience. She is attentive and takes the time to explain each procedure thoroughly. I appreciate her concern with my after care. And has always been available for any of my questions. Thank you! My experience was definitely worth 5 stars. You will not be disappointed.

I had an amazing massage here. It’s a little out there for me and hard to find in the strip mall/​business building; but worth it. I have major SI joint dysfunction and massage really helps, if done right. The woman who massaged me really did a great job in releasing the muscles in my lower back, glutes, and hip. Cute relaxation room to sit in after your treatment, lots of offerings of beverages and snacks. Not a big resort, but a cute and effective little spa.

Don’t spend your money here! I should have researched this place before wasting my money on fillers and Botox here. Horrible job. Would not recommend.

The new lasers are amazing! I started going here for laser on my under arms and bikini with Kylie. I’ve seen great results. I also bought a six package deal. I am just about complete with my package, and my laser tech told me up front that it would take much more than the six treatments because hair grows at different rates. They have new lasers now and I’m seeing much better results. I don’t expect to go to too many more treatments!
I love this place. They have appts on Saturdays too. I’m thinking about my next service, maybe botox. They have so much to offer.
