History

Established in 1975.

I became a framer while in college and my parents, who were importers of European antiques and art, set up a framing shop in their retail antiques store to frame the old prints and vintage posters they imported. My early experience, then, was with fine old prints and paintings that required very particular, careful, conservation framing to preserve the condition and value of the artwork. I have framed thousands of items over the 40 years I’ve been framing.

That family antique business had its ups and downs over the years, and the one guy that consistently got paid was the landlord. That’s why, when that business closed, I kept on with the framing business, always in a home studio to keep my overheads low. (Low? They are next to nothing!) I have saved my customers in California and now Scottsdale (for the 13 years I’ve been here) big bucks by passing on my zero-​overhead savings to them.
