Pick of the Litter Pet Sitting

Pick of the litter is fantastic. I held an initial interview with them when I brought my new puppy home. They have been with me every day since. Lisa and Marylse are both great. Samson loved them both the minute he met them.
The offer flexible visit schedules, I started with twice a day (½ hr) for my new puppies, and moved to once a day full hour as he grew. Beyond her natural love of pets, she is very professional.
In addition to walking services, I had Lisa stay at my home with my cat and dog while I was on vacation. My pets and home were both very well cared for. I received daily text on status of how my pets were doing and photos, which was huge relief for me.
I unfortunately am moving from the area and will miss her, she has become a part of my pets family, they love her and get excited every time she comes. We will all miss her.
I would highly recommend her to anyone who loves their pet and wants a professional pet lover to help with their loving and care. She is a tough bill to follow and will be very hard for me to replace in the east.

Lisa is the absolutely best pet sitter we’ve ever met. She is organized, thorough, and compassionate. When she takes care of our cats she stays and visits with them. We are comfortable to travel knowing that our cat girls are in great hands. Lisa is so reliable and trustworthy, always putting the animals first. She had access to our house by way of an electronic garage door opener. Since we entered and left our house that way, we thought that was sufficient. One time when we were away, the electronic opener failed and she couldn’t get into the house. She actually repaired the garage door opener because she knew our cats were depending on her being there. Who else would do that?!! Needless to say, when we got home we made sure she had a house key as a backup. You will be happy to have such a great person taking care of your pets!

For me, it’s all about trust. Lisa is completely trustworthy, dependable, and very caring of her furry clients. I have two cats, one who is 16 years old and needs medication daily. Not only did she pill him daily, she gave him extra love and became a trusted friend he waited for every day. I truly believe he missed her daily visits. Lisa is patient with her human clients and caring too. I tend to worry, worry, worry – what if, what if – but she always puts me at ease with her reassuring, professional approach. Lisa will always do what’s right for my cats, and I know it!

Lisa is a wonderful person to trust your furbabies to! You can tell as soon as she walks through your doors that she is an animal lover and that animals love her. She was great with my two cats and in communicating with me while we were gone. She even sent me photos and updates so I felt connected to my cats while away. I highly recommend her!

Lisa was so wonderful with my cat Lucy. I found them through Unilocal and am so glad I did. I think Lucy was a bit disappointed to se me walk up the stairs after vacation they were so wonderful with her lol! You will feel so comfortable trusting your fur kids to them.

We have two feral cats, Bella and Maggie, and Lisa has been their only pet sitter for their entire life (7 years)! We are moving to Carlsbad and will truly miss having Lisa take care of our babies. She is so professional and trustworthy and really takes into consideration all of their needs. Being feral they are quite spooky and Lisa always would let us know if they made an appearance when she visited. We never worried about them when Lisa took care of them and although we missed them when we traveled we knew they were in good hands. She is truly a pet lover!

Lisa is very professional and my dogs absolutely loved her. My husband decided to go away for a long weekend and I had 3 days to find someone or somewhere that could take care of my babies. Lisa was quick to respond, very thorough in her «interview» and the house was left impeccable.
Her mom is her assistant, just as efficient and nice.
I will never leave my dogs at boarding places again!

I found Lisa through her website a little over seven years ago. Since then I used her services fairly frequently for my cat. I have to travel for work almost on a monthly or bi-​monthly basis. I also travel couple times a year for vacation which one of them is always three weeks long. So needless to say my review on Lisa and her services is based on a very long working relationship.
Lisa is wonderful! She is professional and trustworthy. She is very through and meticulous about understanding and following the instructions about your pet. This is very important… but especially if you need to leave your beloved pet when she/​he is sick or on medication. You will have a peace of mind with Lisa.
Over the years I recommended Lisa to my friends and all I can tell you is you’ve just found yourself a great pet sitter. Give Lisa a call and you will understand what I am trying to explain right from the beginning.

SO happy with Lisa’s services. We found her through Unilocal and decided to give her a try. We went on a cruise and had no cell service and Lisa was so great at sending us emails and pictures that we could check periodically during our trip. It was so nice knowing he was being taken care of and loved. When we got home he was happier than ever and not stressed out at all. I highly recommend her to anybody and will for sure be using her again on our next trip.

We have two very spoiled Boston Terrors and an ancient cat.
Our babies are used to a set schedule, needed regular medication and lots of patience. Ophelia is not easy to win over and she doesn’t take any candy (or medicine) from strangers.
Lisa set us at ease right away. She was professional and prepared. She was very thorough and obviously knowledgable about pet care. It was important to us to hire a professional.

We have been working with Lisa and Pick of the Litter for almost two years now. We found her through Unilocal,and really liked all of the great things people had to say about her.
After reaching out to her she was quick to respond and set up a meeting. She came to our house for an initial consult. She was very organized, uses an Ipad for scheduling and taking notes. Asked many questions and she was able to meet our new rescue, an Australian cattle dog, and ensure that they got along well.
Since the first meeting everything has been great. Lisa is always quick to respond to my phone calls and texts. She is very flexible with scheduling. My husband and I have random work schedules and being able to schedule our visits one month or a week out makes things very easy for us.
Lisa is very friendly and reliable. It is obvious she truly enjoys working with animals and loves what she does. We know that she takes great care of our dog when we are gone, taking her for walks, feeding her meals when needed and of course great belly rubs. It is comforting to know that your pet and house are in great hands with Lisa. We can’t recommend Lisa enough, and know that you will be just as happy as we are with her services!

Lisa is always very professional and accommodating. My dog loves her and everything is always perfect when I get back. I had used someone else I found on Unilocal before Lisa and would get back from a trip and my dog would need to be taken out immediately and would poop three times before coming back inside. Not the case with Pick of the Litter! I can tell my dog has been well walked and loved on while I was gone. It’s nice being able to leave knowing my fur baby is ok. Lol!

I agree completely with all the previous 5-​star reviews. We moved here recently and just had no idea whom to pick to watch our dog and cat.
Reasonably priced, excellent service, and just overall fantastic. As stated before, Lisa is VERY responsive and responded to texts and emails much quicker than I was expecting.
Her initial consultation is very thorough and I immediately was put at ease after I met her and her mom. Both are very pleasant and easy to work with. They were very patient with me and my texts/​alterations of what to do on a visit. They put us at ease from day 1, and it was very nice not to worry one single bit about our pets during the trip.
Also another awesome ‘feature’ about them is that you actually are talking to the people who visit your house, not like other sitters who I initially called and say «we’ll send someone» out. I didn’t like the fact with the other sitters that I wouldn’t get a face to face visit with whoever is coming into my home.
Lisa and her mom visited our house and we were able to explain where everything is, etc and it was nice to know that they were the only people who could enter the house.
They even threw pasta out in the yard to feed our ‘pet’ wild bird, «Ben» for us !
I would strongly recommend them to sit your pets — they’re the best!

She’s the best!
I was referred to Lisa by a neighbor and she’s been a true gem. She’s reliable, trustworthy and truly loves animals. Lisa has taken great care of our cat while we’ve been away, and she was even able to help me out on short notice when we had to leave town due to a death in the family. I used to worry so much if we boarded little Mischou, but those days are over now – she stays in her own home where she’s comfortable and doesn’t get stressed out anymore.

I can’t recommend Lisa enough. I was pleased that Lisa came over to meet with us before she did her first «sitting» session with our pooch. I could tell right away we selected the right person because she asked many more preliminary questions than other services I have used in the past, so that made me feel very confident. Our dog was immediately comfortable with her, that was the second bonus!
When we returned home it was great to find a note about how our pooch had done on his visits, which we really appreciated.
Her prices are fair, she’s very responsive to calls and emails. It’s important to have someone that you can trust with your pet and access to your home and Lisa definitely fits the bill. She has a lot of information on her website as well, you should check it out!

You will not find a more loyal, hardworking trustworthy individual in this business. Lisa is caring and very detail oriented! Never misses a beat! I would recommend her pet-​sitting company to anyone… she definitely has a great thing going and her vastly growing clientele speaks for it!
