In December 2006 Pavilion Barber Shop opened in the Scottsdale Pavilion shopping mall and the great old-​time barber-​shop was reborn and improved. From the real barber-​chairs, to the old-​fashioned hot lather and straight-​edge shave, to the head and neck massage you enjoy when you are finished. Pavilion Barber Shop is an upscale barber shop providing all of the services of a traditional barber shop — and more. At Pavilion Barber Shop, we treat every one of our clients like they’re family.

This was my first time going here. I tell the barber not to short on the sides and first thing he does is shave it all the way down! His job is awful. I know for a fact he rushed becasue there is long pieces of hair sticking out on the top where he apparently trimed it «shorter.» He even left two holes on the sides of my head! First and last time I come here!

I got a haircut from Mike the first time I went and ever since I don’t go anywhere else, very consistent. Friendly people, all the relevant sports on the TV’s, hot towel and razor shave after the haircut. Who could complain?!

I’ll preface this review by saying I grew up with my mother being a stylist so I KNOW a quality haircut when I get one.
Very reasonable prices… check.
Sports memorabilia all over the walls… check.
Couches to chill on while you wait (when there is a wait from time to time)…check.
T.v.‘s at each station to watch the game while you get your cut… check.
Straight razor shaves and hot towels… check.
Tons of banter and ball-busting…check.
MOST IMPORTANTLY a barber who actually listens to what you want and delivers time after time… CHECK.
I found this place through Unilocal and have been coming here for years. While no business is perfect, they have consistently delivered quality cuts for me and my sons.
Phil DEFINITELY knows what he’s doing and only hires barber who also know what they’re doing. Need your ears lowered or a new style… they’ll hook you up!

I have had my hair cut here 5 or 6 times in the last 9 months. I have lived all over the country and had my hair cut at a variety of places from national chain stores to the corner barber. This place is hands down my favorite place to get my hair cut. It is the old school barber shop located in a strip mall of all places. The décor is all Man with no high priced fru fru BS. You get a great cut including a back of the neck shave, trim eyebrows, and a hot towel to finish. Great product delivered efficiently by professional and friendly staff. My hair has never looked better! They are around the corner from where we rent now; we bought a house 20 minutes away, they will be worth the drive!

Phil is the man. Walked in randomly a few years ago and have been back every month or so since. The shop is comfortable, always a game on, leather couches, and plenty of sports memorabilia… but its all about the cut. The first time I walked in I figured 20 mins or so for a quick cut. If it took him 7 minutes I would be surprised (granted I don’t have alot of hair left, but still). Took me a while to write this because I would rather not have to wait once the word gets out but they deserve all 5 stars I am giving them.

This is my bf’s favorite barber shop. He went through a few places before finding this gem. It’s quick and friendly service. Phil closed his shop in Queens, NY and opened this one. If you want the NY barbershop experience, you have to try this place.
I just sit on the very comfy couch, read some magazines and admire all the bobbleheads decore. It’s such a manly place.

I live in Ahwatukee and drive every 3 weeks to Scottsdale to get a haircut from Phil, he is very experienced and will cut your hair exactly as i explained him.
His barbershop is very clean and organized, there is a lot of sports memorabilia and a big TV which makes your wait time easier.
This is the best barbershop I’ve been in Phoenix.

It is hard to find a good barber nowadays… thank god I didn’t have to look for one anymore, once I came across Phil’s’ Pavillions Barber shop. Can’t beat the location, price, or customer service. Phil’s the best at what he does. This is why it’s the only place I’ve been going since he opened for business!
