If anyone understands the world of retail fashion, it’s Myra Diaz. She was creating her own designs by age 14. Her first professional position introduced her to Haute Couture and gave her design experience on evening wear lines for upscale retailers like Neiman Marcus. As her career progressed, Myra moved into the sportswear industry where she directed an entire staff of artists and designers. She later launched her own private label, selling her original MYRA M.O.D. Inc. designs to exclusive boutiques and major manufacturers. For nearly 15 years, Myra served as design director and operating partner for a multi-million-dollar sportswear apparel company, consulting with the nation’s top retailers on market-specific programs, shopping internationally for design concepts and approving final production samples. Myra has experienced the fashion industry from every angle. She knows the difference between conforming to someone else’s vision and being the vision.
