Moving At Ease

Moving is never fun, especially during the Arizona summer. However, my husband and I booked the team at Moving at Ease this last weekend to help with our move and we are so happy that we did. This was the smoothest, quickest, and easiest move that we have ever had.
The Moving at Ease team showed up on time, hustled to get the job done, and moved all of our pieces with immense care. They were friendly and fun. We even had them move around one of our heaviest pieces in the dining room a few times because we couldn’t find the perfect spot and they gladly did it with a smile on their face.
Hopefully, we do not have to move again anytime soon, but when we do, they will get our call. I HIGHLY recommend the team at Moving at Ease.

I researched many moving companies for our local move before settling on Moving at Ease. The positive reviews on Unilocal,and being on the list of suggested movers from McDowell Village convinced me to choose this mover. Calls to Dan at their office were answered quickly. When I asked him about insurance he said that their company would call about it the day before the move to ask me if I wished to add any more insurance to the move. The call about this issue never was made by their company.
Because of the size of our move I decided to book a three-​person moving team. We were moving from a 1200 square foot apartment to an approximately same sized apartment. Estimates from Moving at Ease and other moving companies estimated that it would take five to six hours using a three person moving team. This seemed about right, as I have moved about a dozen times in my life.
We arranged for the moving company to meet us at a storage facility close to our apartment to pick up a few things. We agreed to meet at 8:30 AM. When we arrived we found them already at the storage facility, which was promising. Two people came out of the truck, which was confusing to me. I arranged for a three person moving team. The employees stated that the other person would be late because he was dropping off his girlfriend. Things went relatively quickly at the storage facility with one hiccup. One of the employees dropped a wire shelf on his head, which would prove to be a bad omen for what was upcoming.
When we arrived at our apartment, where everything was boxed up and ready to go, I was expecting the movers to have a hardwood dolly with sturdy box on top of it to be loaded with boxes to efficiently move. This turned out to not be the case, as the rate of moving seemed to slow to a crawl. At about 10:00 the third mover finally arrived at the scene, but spent most of the time as a bystander. The third member only stayed for a total of three hours. We gave him some of our items, as we were pondering not keeping them. He gave a vague «thank you» before he headed out for the day, leaving the two other movers to complete the first portion of the move.
I was thoroughly unimpressed with the knowledge of the movers. I have never seen a mover not bring up floor coverings or moving blankets. I have an expensive Amish-​made dining room set. The one mover just started stacking the chairs on top of each other on their sides with no cushioning between the chairs. I had to get some bubble wrap to provide the padding. The movers only removed the middle leg of the dining room table rather than all five legs. They also moved the table without using a blanket on it, which was extremely disconcerting.
After about five hours at our apartment they were finally able to remove all objects from our apartment. We met them at the Salvation Army close by to donate some of our belongings before heading to our new apartment.
The new apartment was a first floor apartment, but one has to go up one flight of stairs to get there. There was the option to either use a freight elevator or use the stairs, They decided to use the stairs instead of the elevator.
The move crawled along again. We had a 7:30 concert to attend, which made me wonder if we could even make it. I decided to help the movers move items from the truck to our apartment in an attempt to save time. If I had wanted to move items myself I would not have hired movers in the first place. The movers ended up contacting some unknown third person to help them finish the move. He helped during the remaining hour of the move.
Another cringe-​worthy event came when they brought in my dining room table. As the movers were carrying it on its side the leaves separated on one side, but not the other, which caused a lot of torque on the table. Such careless moving was extremely discouraging, especially on an expensive item. I can only hope that no permanent damage occurred to the table. Previous moving companies removed all legs of the table, and wrapped the table top in moving blankets, which makes it easy to move. I guess that careful moving was not in this company’s best interest.
Finally, at 6:15 PM, the move was complete. What was expected to be a five to six hour experience ended up being a 10 hour adventure. I found that the movers decided to start charging us beginning when they arrived in the morning rather than when we decided to meet at the storage facility. I am finding scratches and other assorted damages to my furniture.
I received no follow-​up call from the moving company, which was also a first for me. Based on the other positive reviews on Unilocal maybe we had an inexperienced crew. However, the fact that we did not receive a follow-​up call reflects that the issue has to deal with more than just the mover, but rather is a company-​wide issue. I wanted to wash my hands of them, which is why I am not contacting them about the damage to our furniture.
I would not recommend using this moving company.

Frankie and Sean moved my father from one senior community to another yesterday morning. Both of them were awesome. They were on time, respectful, patient, careful and very pleasant. The office was very professional in setting up the move and called to confirm details a couple of days before. I highly recommend Moving at Ease. Their name perfectly describes their services!

Moving at Ease continues to do an amazing job for Gardens at Ocotillo Senior Living. This company has moved in a LARGE percentage of our resident into the community in the last year. They have even helped me move as well as a couple co-​workers. The crew is anything but a typical mover who shows up at your house. They are a respectable group, wear uniforms, and provide the compassion that is really needed for many of our seniors. Moving is stressful but they really do live up to their name. Charlie is always great working with us when we have a quick move as well. I would highly recommend (as we always do) Moving at Ease!

I scheduled a move with Moving At Ease for Friday 2÷26÷16. A two person crew arrived and explained what moving insurance options were available but did not pressure us into buying any additional insurance. Then we did a short walk thru the apartment with them and explained what we needed them to move. They understood very quickly what they needed to do and began immediately to load their truck. They were very efficient throughout the process and actually had hustle in their step (Somewhat unusual for people working by the hour.),
They were very polite and friendly. I would use this company again without hesitation. Thier pricing was very good and quality of their work excellent.

Fabulous. I was in a tight time situation. They came recommended to me from the facility my mom was moving to. Joe and Chase were so professional, quick, and careful. Dan, who I made arrangements with followed through and also was very professional.

Awesome company! They showed up on time and got my entire move done in just a couple of hours! I had to leave for work and they took care of packing, moving and locking up my apartment as well as setting up all of my furniture in my new place. When I got home everything was in place and set up perfectly. The movers were friendly and made me feel very comfortable leaving them alone in my place. I wouldn’t even think about going anywhere else! These guys are the best!

Chad, Joe and Chase helped me move my mother on November 30^th. They were prompt and showed up when they were supposed to. They were polite and professional during the entire time of the move. They seemed to enjoy their work and each other which made the move that much easier. I would highly recommend this company if you are moving.

This company did a great job moving us across Phoenix when we bought our first home! Bernie, Chad, and Ryan did a great job packing up our kitchen, dismantling our beds, and packing all our stuff into the truck!
And Lisa came to the new house and unpacked the kitchen while he guys brought everything in and helped set stuff up! If we ever need moving services in the future we call them FIRST!

I have been using Moving At Ease for the last 4.5 years and can’t say enough good things about them. I’ve worked with them on corporate moves, personal moves, container and storage unit unloading, general furniture rearranging, out-​of-​state runs, and even large TV production moves that required lots of personalized attention. Every single time they were on time, polite, fun to be around, and did a great job handling our items with care. And they are fast! These are probably some of the most efficient movers in the valley, and they always are able to get the job done ahead of schedule.
I’ve probably worked with everyone in the company at this point, but work with Dan as my main point person. He delivers quality and great prices every single time and I wouldn’t use anyone else for my moving needs!

With so many negative reviews about movers in general I was very glad I found Moving At Ease. Very satisfied with the service provided, we had no issues and they move went smoothly. Will be calling them again soon to move from our storage unit to our new home.

Very happy I chose Moving at Ease to get me from point A to B. Their price-​point is a bit higher than other movers in the Phoenix area but the service is top notch and worth every penny. Chase and Co. were personable, professional, and proficient. They took under 2.5 hours to move the contents of my 2 bedroom apartment from S. Scottsdale to N. Phoenix/​Scottsdale area. The movers took directions and understood my needs from the outset. As with any moving company, things go a whole lot smoother when they’re simply moving you and not packing you up as well. There is glut of moving companies in the Phoenix area but for my money I’m not sure there is one better than Moving at Ease.

We interviewed 5 different moving companies and we are so happy that we chose Moving at Ease. We needed a lot of help packing and this crew was fabulous! They packed everything from towels to My Grandmothers China and it was all done beautifully! My husband and I agreed that we had never met such hard working men (and women who did the packing). These guys were loading and unloading trucks in 107 degree heat and I never heard one complaint. They were all fun, respectful and willing to rearrange furniture multiple times without the slightest bit of hesitation. This sounds crazy, but I almost hated to see them go after move in day ~ after all how many movers would go the extra mile to capture a family of bats (living behind a piece of artwork on front porch), and install a new plug on my dryer?
Honestly — hire this team… You won’t regret it!

I was really happy with the service provided by Moving At Ease. The two guys were on time and efficient. We moved out of a 3 bedroom house and they moved us into our new home within a few hours. I would recommend them to anyone looking for movers.

I had the pleasure of hiring Moving At Ease for my recent move. I was very impressed with their efficiency, professionalism, and personaltiies. Flynn and Matt were my movers and were on top of everything. They arrived right on time if not early and came prepared. Two movers, Brandon and John, showed up on time with all their equipment and started moving us out of a 1 bedroom. They were very personable, professional and took extreme care of our goods, almost as if they were their own. We moved into a high-​rise and had to deal with elevator congestion, but even with that, Brandon and John managed to get all of our things into the new place, without damage and within an hour of arrival; despite it being 106º.
I am supremely pleased with the expertise, professionalism, speed and efficiency. I have used many moving companies before, all across the nation and I am definitely going to recommend them to others in the Phoenix area.
