Dr Fontius is really wonderful. She takes so much time with her patients and is super receptive to my experience. She is smart, patient and responsive. So happy she is in pinnacle peak /​north Scottsdale area.

I went to Jennifer Mcmahon now Fontius for a few years as well as taking my elderly mother. This is a doctor that will never make a decision on your health. She will refer you to a gynecologist, a neurologist. If your blood pressure is high she will not prescribe medication. My mom’s hospice doctor diagnosed me and said I should be on meds. After confronting her with this,
Jennifer gave me a prescription and wouldn’t give me refills unless I completely insisted without monthly visits. If a problem on a pap smear she will refer you to a gynecologist. On an annual exam she will only discuss a pap smear and make a mammogram appointment. I consider her to be a very poor doctor. I have since changed doctors for my mother and myself and couldn’t be more thrilled. My current doctor isn’t greedy. Spent 2 ½ hours on annual exam and gave me a year supply of prescriptions of High Pressure Medication. My mom’s current doctor makes decisions and has prescribed appropriate medication. Overall, doctors are all different and I would not recommend this one. Very Happy with mine and my mom’s new competent doctors. I would not recommend Jennifer McMahon (Fontius).

I have been a patient of hers for about (3) years, and feel very fortunate to have found her! She has a warm caring bedside manner. Spends the time answering any and all questions. Look no further if you need an excellent family practitioner. And Nancy in the front office exceptional as well.

I’ve been seeing Dr. McMahon, now Fontius, for quite a few years. She’s always been kind, remembers me, and is friendly. She takes great care of my health. The two reasons I really love going here:
1. You never have to sit in the waiting room too long. I think it is totally unacceptable when DRs offices make you sit there for 30 – 40 minutes. That never happens here.
2. The receptionist is SO NICE. 90% of all healthcare receptionists are horrible with major attitude and this woman is very nice.

Jennifer is absolutely amazing. She is a sweetheart. She always goes out of her way to make sure she has everything taken care of for you. She is also very well at prescribing the RIGHT medication for you and not just grabbing her pad and med-​ding you up!
I’ve gone here for almost a year. The front desk lady, Nancy is a complete sweetheart as well. Always leaving me the cutest voicemails if I don’t answer. Great positive vibe here. Everything is run smoothly.

I’ve been going to Dr. McMahon, now Dr. Fontius, for a couple of years now mostly just for a wellness checkup. I called yesterday to make an appointment for a wellness checkup and was asked what kind of visit would I be requiring. I said a wellness checkup for a physical, blood work and prescriptions that I need. I was told that the insurance company’s don’t do that anymore and that I would have to make separate appointments for what I needed. I called my insurance company, Blue Cross Blue Shield and was advised that they do not require separate visits and that is up to the individual Dr. Obviously Dr. Fontius is scamming her patients. First off, I can’t afford the time to go back for extra visits and I can’t afford the copayments. So I say to you Dr. Jennifer Fontius, think things over because you’re going to lose your practice. Sorry that I had to do this, I’m not one for slamming people but this time I just think this is wrong. Remember your oath!!!

She is a great family practice doctor. Whenever I needed to get in to see her, they always worked me in that day… which in my experience is almost unheard of with most practices in Phoenix. She is very nice and easy to talk to. She listens to what you have to say and I never felt like I was being rushed. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a doctor in the North Scottsdale area.
