The Henna Shoppe also has incredibly fun and beautiful skirts, purses, scarves, and all types of clothing accessories from around the world. We work hard to keep our prices to you reasonable so that you can accessorize, mix and match to your hearts content.

History

Established in 2009.

We started off just doing henna. We did henna at craft fairs. We did henna at fund raisers. We did henna just about anywhere we could. The thing about henna is that you don’t really need all that much space to do it.

Soon, our families, our friends, and even our families’ friends back in the villages and cities our parents grew up in were asking us to use our extra space to sell of the things they made. Slowly as our awesome (and we mean that!) customers kept giving us feedback, we started asking our friends to modify their designs or to make new products. The result was a modern twist on traditionally handmade product ideas.

Eventually, as we continued to sell all of these products, and do henna, at ever more craft fairs, people kept asking us if we had a retail store location. After hearing this question enough, we finally decided to look around… and truly just stumbled across a «for lease» sign at our first location @ Mill and Fifth in Tempe. The rest… is history :)

I’ve been doing henna since I was 13. I’ve been an artist even longer! To say that henna is my passion is an understatement. Having had a desk job for a while, I wanted to figure out how to do my art for a living. So, with an incredible amount of support from my friends and family, I opened the first (and original) shop dedicated to henna in the phoenix area. The name Henna Shoppe seemed fitting. :) It’s been an amazing ride since. The absolute best part about doing my hobby for a living is that I get to meet some of the most interesting and amazing people!
