The doctor called me personally to take care of my issue and was sympathetic about the billing issues. The doctor is very professional and cares about his business.

On my insurance card, it’s printed that a specialists’ copay is $ 60 — that should be what is charge while visiting a dr who accepts my plan. After waiting 45 minutes, I was told the co-​pay for my visit would be over $ 100! Whaaat? My insurance btw, is BCBS. I realize with the insurance changes, the doctors are making much less, but since I respectfully disagree with their policy, I went elsewhere to a practice (also reviewed highly) that honored the co-​pay of the billing insurance. I’m sure he’s good, but c’mon!

Jeff P., making a patient wait for upwards of 100 minutes past the his or her scheduled appointment time is no way to run a successful business. Yes, maybe he ends up seeing fewer patients per week/​month by building in a little extra time. I highly doubt he would end up bankrupt as a result. There would simply be a longer backlog of available slots.
The people next to us are going on two hours waiting. This is unacceptable on every level.
Would like to also point out that my grandmother had dementia, and instead of taking two fucking minutes to read up on her record, this schmuck walks in and with a straight face asks her «so what are you here for?»
Really, this guy is a total joke.

I would not recommend going to this office. They don’t respect their patients time. Waited over a hour past my appointment time and still didn’t see the doctor. I think they just care about how many people they can pack into their office at a time.
Save your time and money and find a better doctor.

Dr. Gary Weiner performed a complete shoulder replacement on my right shoulder 2−½ weeks ago. I was quite concerned about this type of surgery and couldn’t find anyone who had this type of surgery to ask questions. I fully expected to be in all kinds of pain and discomfort and be out commission for weeks. As it turned out, I have had ZERO pain and was on the pain meds for only about a week. I wore a standard type sling for about a week and was able to dress myself in my everyday clothes. 2−½ weeks later I am back to driving my own car and quite able to maneuver through the every day demands of life with minimal discomfort… in fact I can’t even call it «discomfort». I attribute all this success to Dr. Weiner’s expertise. I am absolutely blown away at the success of this surgery. Thank you, Dr. Weiner!!! I am doing the home exercises recommended by Dr. Weiner, and in about 3 more weeks will start physical therapy to get my range of motion back to something more normal. I expect my full recovery to be successful… WAY TO GO, DR. WEINER!!!

I would recommend Dr. Weiner to anyone who needs a qualified orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Weiner has a wonderful office staff, they are all super organized and nice. They get back to me right away and answer any of my questions. I had knee surgery this past December and Dr. Weiner put me at ease that I was doing the right surgery. He was so patient with all of my concerns, answered all of my questions and went beyond to check with me and my family the evening and morning after surgery. Dr. Weiner has a very caring and calm disposition. He spent the time at each appointment I had to go over every detail. I never felt rushed! I never had to wait long for appointments. Highly recommend this doctor and his staff. I’m very happy I picked Dr. Weiner!

Dr. Weiner was fantastic! This is the second time my fiancé has seen him and he does a really amazing job! His front desk staff is super friendly and accommodating. He performed top notch on a difficult surgery. If I know anyone that needs an orthopaedic surgeon I would definitely recommend him. Also, considering he is an on call ER surgeon he scheduled the surgery was able to schedule the surgery in a very timely manner.

Fantastic doctor! Although he couldn’t fix my knee injury, he determined what was wrong, found the right specialist to fix it and personally called him and wrote a long report to him.
When I mentioned I was seeing an orthopedist everyone told me he would automatically just do surgery even if I didn’t need it. Nothing was further from the truth. He treated me and determined my injury dies not require surgery.

This is an amazing physician. He spends as much time with patients as they need.
So David S., should Dr. Weiner have an egg timer and start it at 15 minutes so that when your Grandmother’s visit is over, he can dismiss her so that the next patient can be seen on time? Dr. Weiner probably spends more time with other patients rather than kicking them out of the room when their appointment is done. And your solution makes little sense. if he removes patient slots, that means your Grandmother wouldn’t be seen today or probably this week. And his practice is a business like anything else; if they don’t see a certain number of patients, they can’t afford their overhead. And what do you think happens when a physician is on call with the E.R. They are probably attending to a patient which means unforeseen events happen.

Yes, he would go bankrupt if he scheduled patients according to your desired schedule. This is a medical practice not a barber shop. You cannot control every element in medicine. Unforeseen events happen. You can’t compare it to a retail business. Waiting for 100 minutes is not uncommon particularly with a surgeon who was taking call in an emergency department. Many orthopaedic surgeons take trauma call. Should Dr. Weiner avoid repairing a shattered femur in an auto accident so that he can make you happy and be on time for your grandmother’s visit? Did you ever consider why so many patients are willing to wait to see Dr. Weiner? There are plenty of orthopaedic surgeons in this city. Did it ever dawn on you that Dr. Weiner has an excellent reputation and patients are willing to wait to receive excellent care. Medicine is an art; replacing a knee is not the same as replacing your brakes. There are plenty of people who are willing to wait to receive excellent care. I would much rather be seen by someone who was late but then takes their time with my appointment than someone who kicks me out when my appointment is over.
