Dr. Lernor and the staff at Lernor Family Dental are great. Dr. Lernor is attentive and explains everything in a simple way to understand. The staff are patient and gentle. I would highly recommend Dr Lernor for anyone who is looking for a great dentist that is caring and wants excellent service.

I found Dr. Lernor and Lernor Family Dental when my family moved to the valley in 2003. I have had EXTENSIVE dental work from a very young age due to poor genetics. Crowns, Bridges, Fillings, Root Canals, you name it. Dr. Lernor is great with preventative dentistry. He treats the whole person, not just your mouth. He listens to your concerns. He is so skilled and in tune with keeping procedures pain free and as gentle as possible. The staff? Amazing! Sonya, Joleen, Jennifer — they are a wonderful team with a sole focus — keeping your smile healthy! I would never trust my mouth to another Dentist.

I hate going to the dentist. Always have. Fear, shame, whatever… there’s just always been a hang up. That’s probably why my teeth are such a wreck. Took a really, really bad tooth ache to get reluctantly in a few years back, but I’m so glad I found this practice.
Dr. Lernor and team have been great. It’s always a comfortable and relaxed experience, and everyone is beyond friendly.
The insurance and billing experience is shockingly easy/​smooth (in this day of nightmarish health care billing/​insurance chaos).
My wife moved over shortly after my first experience, and we even started bringing our little girl at age 3 (no trains or other other gimmicks required — she’s just comfortable with them.
I’d recommend this practice to anyone looking for a comfortable and caring dentist.

This is a great team of people! Dr. Lernor took a great deal of time in examining my teeth and explaining what needs to be done. I’ve been to other dentists who want to sell me on the most expensive option; Dr. Lernor outlined my options and really listened to my concerns, so I feel I can make a good decision without feeling pressured. The hygienist is very gentle, and the fact that I could watch TV while getting my teeth cleaned was a great distraction and made the cleaning experience much less tedious. I can see how they would be really good with kids — wish my childhood dentist had been like this. I recommend them most highly!

Dr Lernor, Jennifer, Jolynn, and Sonya have been servicing my family for years. They made us feel like family from day 1, and this is not typical of most Medical Offices! If you are looking for a Dentist, and more importantly a new family that will serve all your dental needs, I could not recommend them more.

I’ve never been treated in such a rude, disrespectful and despicable manner than what I experienced at Dr. Lernor’s office last week.
After having a front tooth restoration procedure and going home and looking at the tooth more closely in the mirror, I could see the filling color didn’t match the tooth color and didn’t look good. So I made another appointment the next morning to see Dr. Lernor to get his opinion and seek his advice on whether something could be done to improve it.
What happened next was simply unbelievable and shocking. After being seated by the staff, a visibly upset, impatient, and clearly frustrated Dr. Lernor without even looking at the tooth immediately told me in a loud and angry tone that I have «unrealistic expectations in my dental care and that I should see another dentist in the future», and that he will redo it for free one more time, but that would be it and after that I should go to another dentist. I hadn’t even asked for a free procedure or a refund, in fact indicating to the staff earlier that I would want to pay for any procedures he might recommend. He was unwilling to even listen to any of my questions, again repeating that I should see another dentist after this. I refused to have the tooth further treated.
It’s simply hard to believe that a doctor would be so arrogant and treat their patient in such a callous, angry and uncaring manner, and refuse to even answer their patient’s questions.
In 35 years of dentist visits, no dentist or physician for that matter has ever spoken to me with such disrespect, and told me to go elsewhere, and this simply for seeking his advice on a procedure he himself had earlier incorrectly performed. He doesn’t even have the decency of apologizing for not performing the procedure correctly and permanently damaging a perfectly looking front tooth and instead he gets rude and angry, and tells you to get out of his office. He is a disgrace to the dental profession and should be ashamed of himself. He clearly has no concern for his patients.
The tooth has now been repaired as best as possible by a prosthodontist at a cost of almost $ 1000, and it looks much better and he agrees with me that restoration was poorly done, and that I did not have unrealistic expectations at all, specially for a front tooth. I wish there was a way to post before/​after photos here on Unilocal so other people could see for themselves.

Dr Lernor, Jennifer, Jolynn, Sonya and the entire family have treated us like family from the day we walked into the office. If you need an excellent Dentist, and better yet an extention of your family that handles all your dental needs, this is the place to go for sure!
