Description

Specialties

Diva Golf offers a new twist on an old game! This group is for women of all skill levels who just want to play the game, network and build friendships both on and off the course.

Our members are all ages, all sizes and enjoy the non-threatening atmosphere that Diva Golf offers. We don’t worry about anyone’s handicap, type of equipment or clothing! So many women want to play golf but hesitate due to fear of not knowing what to do or how to act. This group offers a full season of weekly events that we call «Nine & Wine.» Each week we play a different course beginning in the later afternoons. All sessions include a short lesson prior to starting play, 9 holes, cart and beverage back in the clubhouse when we’re finished. Memberships are sold on a yearly basis and there is no requirement to attend any particular sessions. We want to be a flexible league-pay and play as little or a much as you like. The goal is to have fun, improve your game and meet new people.

History

Established in 2012.

Shawn Jardine is a Colorado Springs native and a new-ish golfer. She started this group out of a desire to network with other women while improving her golf game. Tired of the typical early morning networking groups, this idea came to mind. Why not do two things at the same time-golf and networking! The friendships formed through Diva Golf are just the icing on the cake! After taking a series of lessons in 2010, Shawn realized that one of her biggest regrets was not having taken up golf years ago! There was always work to be done, kids to pick up and laundry to be done. Starting this group will hopefully help others to break free of their excuses and start golfing!
