I recently had Laura tint and wax my brows — she did a great job! She didn’t make them overly dark or weird looking. They just look natural and great, and the service was quick and affordable. Very happy I found her!

I’m going to be finding someone new.
I’m newer to the area and was (and still am) desperate to find a place for proper eyebrow shaping. So I started going to Laura as I found her here on Unilocal with great reviews and seemed to do the kind of work I was looking for (and aesthetician who shapes etc. compared to just doing a strip rip and you’re done). My first appointment or 2 were great. Just what I was looking for. But then the quality went downhill. The next time, they were too thick, uneven and hair started growing back after 2 days. Plus they really weren’t trimmed as wanted/​usual. I went again thinking it was a one time thing. Nope, same thing again. So, I am done trying. I gave chances. Apparently her care/​quality has gone down.
Plus I always felt like I was being sold to. Every time I’d be pushed to do a brow tint, and when I turned it down, she acted like I was weird and it was a let down I wasn’t getting one.
There’s got to be someone better in the area.

Laura is so fabulous and so worth the drive all the way to Scottsdale! She’s so corky and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. She uses vegan wax and rose and jasmine after wax products so this place is perfect for vegans and vegetarians.
She was on time for my appointment and extremely friendly! She’s so cute. Laura told me exactly what she was gonna do to my eyebrows to make them look normal again. She did exactly what I wanted. My eyebrows still have work but they look so much better after my horrific experience with the lady I used to go to.
I love my brows and I will definitely be back to see Laura!

Went here after confirming with Laura that she could lighten my brows. I left with what seemed like darker brows than when I got there. She really wasn’t giving me options and when it was clear I was not super satisfied with the service, nothing was done to rectify the situation. Bad service and as far as I am concerned do not tell a customer you can lighten brows when you can not.

Holy perfect eyebrows! I had been growing out my eyebrows for approximately five months. I had gone to another lady that I just was not impressed with. Granted, I didn’t keep regular appointments. Found Laura through Unilocal and decided it was time! Small spot in Scottsdale, very cozy, and the best chandelier ever, lol. She’s so sweet and really focuses on you and what type of brows would look good. I’m now regularly going to her and have never loved my eyebrows so much. Thanks Laura!

I’ve had 3 visits with Laura before writing this review, and I’m glad I waited to compose this. The first 2 times, she did a good job but I wasn’t as impressed with her work as some of the other reviewers. Each time I showed up my appointments, I brought with me the same over-​sized color photo of myself featuring my best eye brow shape. Nearly 5 years ago, I lived in Honolulu and met a perfectionist at a salon who shaped my brows the way they should be shaped, and took photos. Since moving away, I’ve never been fully satisfied with my brows.
I believe Laura is the only waxer in the Valley that I’ve tried who has gotten this close to perfect. (It’s like she’s the only one in the valley who I met who can follow a photo.) I believe it took a few cycles of hair growth for my brows to bounce back from having been murdered by someone else at a different salon.

I’ve been seeing Laura since 2008. She is pure magic! She enhances the natural shape of my brow! Before I found her, I would suffer redness and puffiness that would take a day to heal. I’d also be dismayed that half of my brows were gone.
I recommend Laura HIGHLY!!! She’s very gentle with wax. Once you have been waxed by Laura, you will be VERY reluctant to see anyone else.

I’ve been to my fair share of salons that do brow waxing, but this is definitely the last place I will ever go to. I live in Gilbert, but I drive all the way here just to see Laura. She is definitely an expert in her craft :)

She is a very nice person, but I’m nice too and I don’t get paid for being nice. She does spent a lot of time on your eyebrow, but she can’t shap eyebrows. She might be good at waxing other parts, but not eyebrows. I have very thick and full eyebrows needs some experience to shape them. She left me with uneven eyebrows made my arch on the different places on both eyebrows. Spent $ 20 on gas and paid her $ 20 for service not worth it. I pay $ 10 for threading way better job. Less waxing more plugging, when I came home I had lots of small hair that i thread myself. Don’t do eyebrows here if you have thick eyebrows and want to shape them.

My brows look great and she’s very sweet. She doesn’t over pluck. She spends a good amount of time on your brows. Easy location to find and a lot of parking. Very cute room where you get your brows done.

Laura is an expert in GENTLE WAXING! For several years I switched from my eyebrow being waxed to threading because my skin was soooo sensitive to the waxing process. Not with Brows & Waxing With Laura; since she had primarily 5 STAR ratings, I decided to give her a try. I will only go to her for waxing! The salon is clean, bright and intimate. Laura’s personality is as if she’s been a good friend for years. Give her services a try, and I’m convinced you will repeat your waxing services at BROWS & WAXING WITH LAURA.

Laura is extremely skilled with what she does and I would highly recommend her to anyone – she is brilliant with sculpting brows and I’ve been going to her for a couple of years now. Not to mention she is super personable and has a really delightful sense of humor. Visit her sometime!

Laura is wonderful! She found time for me twice on short notice, was exceptionally friendly the entire time, and charged a reasonable price for really nice brows.
For nervous or uncertain wax-​ees, she definitely has the aura of someone capable and trustworthy — you’ll have no doubt you’re in good hands. And you’ll be absolutely right!
The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is that her technique involves wax for the main parts and then plucking for the rest — feels nicer, looks better right afterwards (which is particularly useful for short-​notice instances), but just doesn’t last as long as a regular mostly-​wax brow job.
