Always Unleashed Pet Resort

We set up a time for our dog to trial it out before we went on vacation. She was not even there for 5 minutes and they called us and told us she was not a good fit. How could she even have a chance to adapt within a 5 minute time period? She is 10.5 years old and we take her to the dog park all the time and she is completely fine. This was a new environment and new people. We watched on the camera in the parking lot they had her pinned on the ground within the first 5 minutes she was there, she’s a older yellow labrador. So ridiculous! The worker at the desk was not accommodating nor did he seem to even care.

This is a top notch resort. We drive from Central PHX to take our boy here. He absolutely loves it! The pool is the best part. Our boy is a lab so he gets to go in and out as many times as he likes. The unleashed concept is brilliant. All the dogs seem like they are on the same level in the pack. The staff is wonderful and you can tell they really care for the dogs. I’ve envisioned owning a doggie daycare before, but never like this. Lastly, I’d like to point out the pricing. There really is only 1 – 2 other day cares that has a pool and at least one charges to use it. Everything is all inclusive here. We try to go 1 – 2 x a month. Finally, tip the staff. They really do a remarkable job and I notice all the special attention my boy gets when he’s there.

This is an awesome place for your dog to run free and play with other dogs. We know our dog loves it because she goes happily right in to the play area. And why not? Whenever she is with us she is always on a leash.
The set up is great for our Valley weather. Canvas tarps provide constant shade; a shallow swimming pool with a long beach gives hot dogs an easy place to cool off. The ground is covered in artificial turf. Highly recommend it!

This place is great. We’ve been taking our dog Lola who, we adopted last summer, here on a regular basis. She has separation anxiety but loves it here with all the other dogs. They look after all the dogs, never a problem and in the summer the misters, pool and rest periods keep all the dogs happy and tired ! When we pick Lola up she is happy and tired, never stressed. A great place, no resort for your dog !

We have been using Always Unleashed for the last few months so our little corgi does not have to stay alone when we both work, so about 2 days a month. This weekend we went away and left her over night. We checked in on her last night, with the live cameras and the guy working noticed she needed a little extra love and he picked her up and cuddled her. I was so IMPRESSED!!! They really care about the dogs and love them all. The most impressive thing is that is does not smell bad. Our dog gets so excited when we turn on Adobe she can hardly sit in the car. She literally jumps into their arms when we get there. She is sufficiently tired when she gets home. We love this place! Staff and other dogs are so friendly.

This was our first trip with our2 Bernedoodle puppies out of ND. We planned to be gone at a car show during the days for a week and wanted to take our puppies somewhere to play. They went their first day for a trial and absolute loved the resort. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and really care about all the dogs. We have taken the boys back 4 days now and it is worth every penny. I would highly suggest going here for daycare or boarding.

Our dog is a one year old Aussie/​Border Collie/​Something with super long legs mix. And we needed a place that he could go and PLAY! He’s just not capable (yet) of sleeping all day on the sofa like our lazy older labs! I looked at a TON of places before accidentally stumbling upon Always Unleashed. I’m thrilled I finally found them! Our new dog Drifter is a handful and our 8 year old labs are equally excited when Drifter goes «off to camp» on Tuesdays. He gets to play and run around all day and they get a day of PEACE at the house (and a bonus day on Wednesday as Drifter is still a bit tuckered out)! The staff is wonderful, the pricing is reasonable, and the facility is clean and well done! For the social dog with a ton of energy and a high play drive this place is PARADISE! We’ve also done overnights and those too went awesome! I especially LOVE the video cameras that I can log into anytime and see that my dog is having a blast and well taken care of. Highly recommended!

Always Unleashed is the best! It was genius to think of a place where our dogs could be free all day.
We have 2 pups, Buck and Brutus. When we drop them off they are so excited. First stop is usually the pool. And when we hit Scottsdale Road they know they’re almost there and get so excited they start to whine and bark and paw at the door. They’ve gone for day care which is great and they have spent nights there too. I love that we can watch them on the webcam at anytime we want to. Always unleashed get to five star rating from me. My 2 7month old large dogs stayed for 8 days and every time we watched them on the webcam they were having a blast. The pups came home happy, tired and heathy!!!

We value a well behaved and trained dog, who sits, stays, comes etc., and so our puppy has been professionally trained by a nationally reputable dog trainer. Therefore, choosing a facility that compliments her dog training, corrects unacceptable behavior while allowing a puppy to exercise, learn the social do’s and don’ts of doggy play, is for us, essential to a well balanced dog. Our puppy has 12 hour days, 2x a week at Always Unleashed, these 24 hours are unequivocally an invaluable part of her well being, fulfilling her essential need for dog play and continued need for socialization. She plays hard, extensively, with all different sized dogs, in water, under the shade of trees, and with appropriate toys. Always Unleashed has the facility under the care of cam videos so we watch her play during the day on our cell phones, in our office and home during anytime of the day. They employees are gentle and kind, always pointing out scratches or concerns, despite the obvious fact that when a puppy has spent 12 hours playing with 50+ dogs it is inevitable that she will get scratched. Always Unleashed is our puppies play ground an essential part of our puppies well being which in turn makes her time at home with her human family a healthy, calm and happy home.

I have a 2 year old Dalmatian and she has a lot of energy, always unleashed has been a life savor when it comes to needing a place to take her to play ALL day. She is being social and interacting with dogs for sometimes 12 hours a day and she comes home exhausted. It’s awesome! The staff is always friendly, knows her by name and makes pick ups and drop offs really easy for us.

They have a wonderful outdoor space where all the dogs (50+/day) can just hang out and enjoy playing with each other. The pool is also great. Our dogs come home and don’t move for several hours as they are exhausted from the day’s play. Wonderful place for socializing dogs and letting them get out all of their energy.
The staff here is also fantastic. Everyone seems to genuinely care about your dog (s), and take very good care of them — can’t say enough good things about this place. Only very minor negative is the check-​in process can be a little slow if you arrive in the 7:30 — 8:00 range.
A great place if you are a dog — you should take yours to Always Unleashed. Definitely a 5-​star place if you are a dog.

This place is AMAZING. In response to some of the negative reviews: no doggie daycare that allows your pet to roam outdoors with many playmates will EVER be 100% safe. That’s the point, isn’t it? Let the dogs play! If you are super paranoid about having your dog play rough, either take your dog to a caged kennel (boring!) or let the staff know, and see what they have to suggest. My pup has come home with a couple of scratches… no biggie, he’s just being a dog. We don’t freak out when we get paper cuts or splinters, do we?
In addition, the owner has never been anything but sweet and friendly to me. Maybe my dog is just better than your dogs ;) Just kidding. Sort of.

This is such a wonderful place for my dogs, Sophie and Winston. Karen is unbelievably talented and loving toward my dogs. The place is like a 5 star resort for dogs, and it’s the only place I feel comfortable leaving my bulldogs. My boy, Winston, was having some problems being aggressive socially with other dogs. Karen immediately taught him and changed his behavior towards other dogs right before my eyes. It made me emotional. They do an exceptional job here, the entire staff is professional and accommodating! I feel comfortable taking my babies there everyday for a long While or a short play visit. They love it!

I have been taking my dog Marley here since April 2015 and this place has made him a model dog, his behavior changed after the first visit with weekly improvement. The staff is amazing, they are all caring, professional individuals, who take their time with the dogs and give feedback on them. I never had an issue with the owner, only crossed my path twice, she was not friendly nor appreciative that we are given her business, however she chooses the right staff otherwise I am sure that the place will not be as popular. As far as I am concerned if my dog and others are treated right, I could care less how she is. Marley is going to miss this place, hope that he likes the new arrangements, so far his behavior has not change, but will go back in a heart beat if need to.

Always Unleashed is the best boarding facility I have taken my dog to. Their staff is always friendly and knows my dog by name when I call to make a reservation or come in. Their kennel free environment allows for non stop fun and their temperament testing of all new dogs allows me to rest at ease knowing she will be safe. Their yard is shaded and well cooled even offering a pool which is very important for the hot summer months in Arizona. Every time I pick my pup up from a stay or day of play she is utterly exhausted from all the fun she has had. I also love their monitoring system which allows me to check in on my pup whenever I want. All of this AND their prices are extremely reasonable. They also have great add ins like nail trimming and baths so your pup is ready to come home fresh and clean.

Very happy with this place! Dropped my 6 mth old puppy when I had to leave town for business. They took amazing care of her and I couldn’t be happier. Life long customer here! Very clean facility, staff are friendly and very hands on. Definitely recommend this place. Prices are the best!

Unfortunately, the owner does not carry these same qualities. Because of her lack of compassion and authenticity, my dog will not be returning.

This is a true pet resort where dogs can swim, run, play, socialize and lounge under constant supervision. They offer a lot of amenities at reasonable prices. I was a bit concerned with the large number of dogs hanging out together but the staff seems to have everything under control.
