History

Established in 1986.

As professional string players, we have performed for years in large orchestras and in orchestra pits, hidden from the audience. No electricity is needed and the elegant sound of the string instruments was perfect for the wedding ceremony and cocktail reception. So many popular songs can be arranged for strings and that special song you share with your future spouse can be played at your wedding. The music of a quartet, trio or duet remains in the background for people’s conversations as well as an Officiant speaking at a ceremony.

We decided that live strings would really enhance special occasions like weddings.

Manager

Barbara began playing violin at a very young age. She received her degree at a fine University in Michigan and later on moved to Arizona. After playing with other quartets in Arizona she decided to go out on her own and use her experience to collect the best music and the best musicians to form the Allegro Quartet.

Barbara has dedicated years to making Allegro one of the most recognized and highly regarded string quartets in the Valley. She is so lucky to have amazing and talented Partners who are also passionate about playing great music for live events.
