Established in 2009.

We fulfill custom orders for personalized cakes and cupcakes. Orders are require at least a week in advance. Since we are a boutique cake business, our availability is limited and we tend to book a couple of months in advance.

Growing up, I have always enjoyed being in the kitchen with my mom and helping her bake. When I became a mom, I continued by love for baking. I started this business just after my daughter turned 1. As I was looking into making a cake for her first birthday, I started to «dabble» in fondant. I realized shortly after that I had a passion for designing and creating cakes for special occasions. Thus, Sassy Cakes and Cupcakes was born!

I have been making cakes for over 3 years now and loving every minute of it.

I want to send a special thanks and recommendation to Kristin Cosner of SASSY Cakes and Cupcakes. She made our wedding cake and it was everything we wanted! The cake was beautiful and it tasted amazing!!! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was. It tasted so good that we also had it for breakfast the next day!!!
Kristin was fantastic to work with. She was very easy going, which is what a bride needs. But she was also extremely professional and organized. Her prices are very reasonable and for the quality you get, I would say it is a steal! Thank you for everything, we can’t wait for our year anniversary to eat our top layer!!! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely order some cupcakes!

My stepmom treated us to these cupcakes for our wedding, and I am so glad that she did!
First of all, the cupcakes are absolutely beautiful. They added to the atmosphere of our wedding, making the perfect centerpiece.
The flavors were out of this world! We got pink lemonade, chai tea, and chocolate with chocolate buttercream. My favorite was the lemonade – sweet and slightly tart. The cake was delightfully dense and flavorful, and the cream was perfect. Many of my guests ate more of these than they’d care to admit. A fun addition to our cupcakes were candy hearts with our initials on them that stuck out of the frosting.

I have been ordering all of my party cakes and cupcakes from Sassy cakes for almost 3 years now. I have LOVED every flavor and cake I have received. Kristin is so talented! My baby shower cake was amazing and people are still asking me who made it for me. It matched our theme exactly.
We ordered cupcakes for my daughters first birthday party with a personalized one for her to stick her hands into also.
Since then I have had about 10 other cakes of hers and look forward to all events that she is making the cake/​cupcakes for. Not only are they delicious but each theme and detail is amazing. I highly recommend Sassy cakes!

I attended a friend’s 25th wedding anniversary in Scott’s Valley this past weeknd and was completely wowed by Sassy Cupcakes! Amazingly soft and delicately rich. The butter cream frosting was so delicious and just the right amount for each individual cup cake. If you’re looking for an alternative to a «sheet cake», I highly suggest giving Sassy a try! You will be sweetly surprised and thrilled.

I am the recipient of the amazing cupcake tower/​cake that Tony V recommends earlier. Kristen is wonderful to work with on vision/​creation of the dream cake you want and execution! Oh my gosh, what a wonderful surprise to me the day Kristen comes to set up at our venue, and the reaction of our guests to the amazing ornamentation and flavors that she created. Highly recommend!!! Five stars all around for her customer service and magical product!

i am a wedding photographer and have seen my fair share of beautiful cakes.
i also see a lot of people not eat those beautiful cakes bc for some reason it is hard to make something beautiful and taste delicious. well — not kristen’s cakes! they are so yummy and she is an amazing artist as well. for the level of her talent her desserts are very affordable, especially for weddings. lots of bakers have a snobby attitude, but kristen is open to your ideas and very friendly.
