History

Established in 2004.

After a successful NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers and the San Diego Chargers, Jim Leonard opened Mortgage Company of America in 1990. When Jim’s partner left the business in 2004 he went out on his own and started Jim Leonard’s Mortgage Connection, Inc.

Born and raised in Santa Cruz CA, I am a graduate of Harbor High School (’75), from there I attended University of Santa Clara where I graduated in 1980. I was fortunate enough to get drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where I began my eight year tenure in professional football. Following my fooball carreer I worked in a few different real estated related industries and ended up on the mortage side of the business, where i was most confortable and able to use my mathmatical apptitude to its fullest.
