Char’s Salon

I’ve been having my hair cut by Char for many years. She is an expert at color and knows how to deal with difficult hair. Her knowledge of products and techniques has been so helpful, as I am not very pro-​active about my hair. Her salon is beautiful, soothing, impeccably clean, and welcoming. Enjoy a relaxing expert cut and/​or color with my «go to» expert!

I’m so glad that Char’s Salon is back in Scotts Valley at their original location, now nicely remodeled with a Hawaiian Island theme. It doesn’t look like much from the street, but once you walk up the stairs and get in the chair you are treated to a lovely view of the wooded hillside and the pampering of professionals!
Jen is my stylist and she is the best! She has worked with me to develop styles that are very attractive and also easy to care for. She pays amazing attention to details and consistently does a fantastic job with my hair. I have baby fine hair which just doesn’t do well in certain styles. Unlike some other stylists who just ask you what you want, Jen comes up with ideas that work even better. I get many complements about my current style and it is the result of going in one day and asking her what she thought would be good for me and letting her go with it.

I have been getting my hair cut by Jen for almost 12 years because she simply is the best. Over the years Jen has given me a variety of short, long and medium styles. She has also given me lowlights and highlights. She even restored my hair to its natural golden brown after I foolishly experimented with dye at home (bad idea). Most recently, Jen gave me very cute bangs. Along with her cutting and coloring expertise, Jen also gives amazing scalp massages that are deeply relaxing and really make you feel pampered. On top of everything else, Jen is also a truly kind person and is a good listener. If you want the perfect cut/​color and a great overall experience then go to Jen– you won’t be disappointed!
