The Cansporter Trash Cart Carrier is a hitch mounted device for transporting waste and recycle carts from your home out to the public roadway for collection by your waste hauler. The Cansporter attaches to a conventional tow hitch receiver on your family vehicle, ATV, UTV or golf cart. With the Cansporter, carts are easily lifted and latched in place suspended above the ground allowing you to conveniently drive your carts out to the roadside. Perfect for anyone that lives off a private roadway or has a long driveway. No heavy lifting required.

History

Established in 2004.

The world of garbage collection is changing. The old system of small 30 gallon containers is being replaced by multiple large containers. Typically a household will have separate containers for garbage and recycling. These large wheeled containers may be convenient when rolling the carts 20 feet out to the curb. But for those that live on a large parcel and need to transport the carts a long distance out to the roadside these carts create a problem.

The Cansporter was created to solve this problem. We wanted to design a system that did not require heavy lifting or placing dirty garbage carts inside the family vehicle. We wanted an easy on, easy off design because sometimes the weather can be nasty on collection day. Carrying the carts outside using a standard tow hitch receiver on a vehicle was the logical solution. We designed, tested, refined and perfected the Cansporter so that trash day was no longer dreaded. Making a difficult task easy was our goal.
