I’m not a big reviewer; however, I do feel compelled to share the great experience I had with Eric and the team at 4×4 and more in Scott’s Valley…
I bought a 4×4 gmc passenger van that I’m planning to convert into a camper van and before buying, I took it to these guys for a pre-​purchase inspection. Their pre-​purchase inspection was very thorough and accurate and gave me enough details to help negotiate a price that would help cover the repairs needed.
I was out of state and then decided to have these guys do the repairs prior to driving back to CO. They were extremely honest and ethical and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks for all the hard work and trust guys! very much appreciated!

I inherited a 1992 big Dodge truck it’s a three-​quarter ton diesel and it’s in very good shape but it sat for a long time so I took it to Eric to have them diagnose it and turn out to be just a fuel filter now it runs like a champ. I will be back for more upgrades later on enjoy.

I thought this was a hardcore off rode place. It can be for the enthusiast. My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee needed some repair and maintenance. Eric gave me a fair price and the repair was handled in a professional manner. I have been back and the same quality service and care was given. The crew is great and the Jeep just seems to be better all around! I didn’t know I could find a great Jeep shop in Scotts Valley!

Eric and staff are awesome!!! I had my new 2014 Jeep Wrangler totally built up and they did a great job. Also, I take my tacoma truck here for service and always a great experience.

This is a real jewel of a business. Honest and great workmanship. From the office staff to the technicians all seemed to be truly invested in me and my vehicle. The prices are very reasonable for sure. Eric is running a great shop. They got my old truck back to safe and sound ride.

Worked with Eric to lift and install skid plates on my 2013 Outback. Very happy with the result. Eric was great; it was the first lift of this kind for the shop, and involved some trial and error, to be expected, working with the rally shop who made the parts to figure out how to install and tune them. Eric was not happy until I was, always test drove the car himself, oversaw all work and was meticulous with all detail. And charged reasonable rates to boot. A pleasure to work with. I recommend this shop very highly.

Took my wifes suburan there for ball joints and tie rods.
They did an excellent job ontime and right at the price quoted.
They did charge me extra for a tire rotation, which was not mentioned before hand, however when i protested they immediatley took off the charge, now thats good customer service !

I took my Jeep in to have some sensors replaced a few months back. My bf originally took his Tahoe in before, but I should of realized how overpriced they are from him. I felt completely ripped off, They charged me for every little thing, I am with the guy who wrote a review yesterday– They never called me to give me an amount, they just did the work. When I did call to get the amount, they gave me a quote with out the tax included. Expecting to pay that amount when I got there. Not more. Why not just give the full amount??? They did this to my boyfriend too! But they also never called me to tell me it was finished either. I had to call, and then it seemed like had to replace a few more things in my rig too, like a battery that was only 3 years old (its a 7 year battery) More charges. I did talk to Kim about the quoting full amount and she did send me a gift cert of $ 20 towards services for another visit. That was nice. Granted, my Jeep runs good for the time being, I will not be back. I have other connections that are more reasonably priced and will not charge you for every little nook and cranny.

Place is a total rip off. Took it there for a couple stripped bolts and a broken antenna. I also brought it in for a cracked flexplate. Was told they’d call me and let me know how much things would cost. They didn’t. I called them 2 days after I dropped it off and she tells me they did everything. nice. and that my cracked flexplate was not in fact a cracked flexplate. Just a knock from a «high mileage engine» lol. So after paying $ 400 ya. $ 400 for loosening 2 bolts and another caliper bolt that had snapped. I then had a f**cked up, stripped out, antenna mount that they couldn’t get off… nice.
Took my jeep to another shop they replaced my flex plate. No more knock.
If you wanna get ripped off this is the best shop around!

This is a review for over $ 3k worth of work done on a 1997 4×4 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Eric and his wife are very nice people who have a lot of potential. The overall work they did on the Jeep has so far proven to be good but a few critical issues did come up that prevent me from giving their shop five stars.
It should be noted that Eric made good on all the mishaps below after I brought them to his attention. He deserves credit for doing his very best to make up for his employees’ oversights. Regardless, after having spent more than $ 3k at his shop, none of the issues below should have ever occurred.
One: An air hose was not reattached and after finding it dangling on the ground I had to return to the shop to get it properly attached. (Frustrating event since I live more than an hour away.)
Two: The plastic cover underneath the radiator that protects it from dirt and rocks was partially reattached (only two of four screws were put on) and as a result it partially fell off four days after picking the Jeep up from the shop. It dragged on the ground for at least 30 miles before I realized what was wrong.
Three: The air filter box only had one of three screws bolted back to the vehicle frame after it had been removed for engine work. Perhaps not a big deal but definitely something that a five star shop does not do.
Four: I was charged $ 25 for an air filter I was never given. This was very frustrating since it made me wonder what else I was billed for that might not have been completed.
Five: I was not credited the $ 85 inspection fee I was promised for having done my repairs at his shop until I called a couple days after receiving the final bill to inquire about the missing credit from the itemized report.
I can’t emphasize enough how badly Eric felt for all of this. He accepted full responsibility and made everything right. This is why I’m giving his shop three stars instead of one. If none of the issues above had occurred, it would have been my pleasure to give his shop five stars.

Thee most awesome folks! Old school working knowledge with the skills to work on all the newer vehicles. Fast, efficient and more than fair. Eric and Kat always, always accommodate our needs– they go above and beyond for us– every time. I will never go tot another shop! Can’t say enough good about them.

I had just bought a 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD (diesel) and needed to have all the 100k miles preventative maintenance done on it, and so I called 4×4 and More to find out if they could accommodate this rare little Jeep diesel’s needs.
Eric (the owner) talked with me directly and was very friendly and knowledgeable over the phone. I ended up needing to have the timing-​belt, water pump, thermostat, differentials, transmission, and filters changed. And so over the course of a few months, he and his crew got it all done. They were very accommodating, AND friendly throughout the entire process, and willing to address any needs that I brought up.
Eric, Cat and the rest of the great crew at 4×4 And More are hard working and dedicated to their jobs. They are a great small business that guarantees their work, through and through!
Even though my little Jeep had some quirks with it, they made sure I went away with a fully tuned up, safe, and excellently running vehicle.
I highly recommend 4×4 and more in Scott’s Valley.

I know very little about cars and took my Tahoe in to be serviced because it was acting up. The AC was broken, the rear view mirror had fallen off and a whole host of other problems. I wrote a list and the met all my needs and even got my car detailed! WOW! No matter how many times I call and ask the same silly questions, Eric and Cathy are always very patient and professional.
I have referred several people to them and will continue to do so. They are awesome at what they do and truly care about the customers! No inflated prices and exaggerated costs. As a woman, its important to know which shops are fair. Thank you for the awesome service!

In Eric’s attempt to fix my older jeep, he was unable to trouble shoot and find the problem. After paying him twice, I realized that he was just replacing parts by process of elimination. Never received a written estimate on any work and the final result after paying Eric twice, I had to have the jeep towed because the problem was not resolved. Poor communication. Wasn’t able to explain situation because he over powered the conversation constantly. I refused to pay a third time, so my car sat for over 30 days with no work being done whatsoever. Recommended work that was asked by Eric was done elsewhere and was unsuccessful.

I had another shop install new gears in my 2008 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited and I was having some issues. I wanted to get a second opinion so I called 4X4 and More and the woman on the phone said that «Eric» would call me back as soon as possible.
He called me back a couple of hours later, just as the woman on the phone had said, and he was willing to listen to my issue in detail. He suggested that I come in so that he could take a look for himself and after a test drive he too felt that there was something wrong. He pulled my diff covers and figured out that the previous shop installed different gears in the front and the rear.
I appreciate the fact that he was willing to spend the time to REALLY look into my issue. He paid very close attention to detail and was extremely professional from start to finish. Even though his shop is about 25 miles from home I will definitely be going back as needed.

Eric at 4×4 and more is a class act. I was recommend by a friend to take my dodge there to install a lift. They ordered the lift for me and when it came in I was told that they would be able to install it the following week. Unfortunately I was going to table that weekend and asked if there was any way they could get the lift installed during that week. Eric ended up moving some jobs around and staying late on friday night to get the truck finished up. Picked it up sat am and it was ready to go. They did a great job at a reasonable price. Customer service was great.

A few months ago I had my rotars replaced by 4×4 and more and recently noticed a problem with them making a loud noise. Eric, the owner, said even though the brand was no longer available through their distributor that they would still warranty the rotars. I have had my truck serviced here a few times and have always had great service but this really made me feel like they take good care of their customers.
