Decent pizza — better when you ask for it «well done» because we’ve gotten it before and it has been dough-y. Their salads are big — good for the price. Their cheese pizza is my favorite — generous cheese and good balance of sauce. Thinner type crust. Good local place.

If you’re not in the mood for a 5 star restaurant and you don’t want to go to McDonald’s, Harbor House in the perfect middle for you. The food is good for a Friday night with friends or a bite to eat on the way to movie theater. Nothing too exceptional, everything tastes simply… Good. I really can’t complain about the food but I also can’t rave about it either. I usually order a calzone, small pizza, an order of fries, and an order of onion rings and split it among friends during Friday night movie night. The price is on the lower end and the food is good for sharing. I’d recommend getting Harbor House for children’s sleepovers or get-togethers and sharing with friends. Any sports TV viewing can be made instantly better with Harbor House.

Greek salad with grilled chicken. Excellent. This is the Scituate Harbor alternative to Maria’s Sub Shop. This is where you go if you want an old-fashioned grilled sub, steak and cheese, or lettuce. The staff is great and friendly. They deliver and take orders over the phone. They know our order when we call which is really impressive. Their pizza is probably the best in the area,(the closest contest is with Satuit Tavern which serves a small pub-style pizza). Absolutely worth a try!

Love the place, I always love going to the family run pizza shops rather than the bigger chain stores. Great food, keep up the good work guys.

I absolutely LOVE there creamy house dressing it is to die for!!! I get the Greek salad with grilled chicken, the vegetables are so fresh, and the chicken is always cooked perfectly. I can’t say enough about how delicious the dressing is! The pizza is your traditional greek style pizza, yum yum! The guys that work there are so friendly and personable, by far my favorite place in scituate!!! FYI they even deliver to the beaches!!!

Better than Maria’s. It’s average. But average is way better than Maria’s.

Depending on where you parked, you are either led through a classic deep, dark alleyway or directly from the bustling street before you push your way through a large, old, rotting wooden door to enter inside. Once there, your take a few seconds to adjust to the lack of light. The only sensory cue that you have entered a pizza shop rather than a dark grotto is the familiar smell of grease and tomatoes. The feeling of the grotto or secluded cave enwraps you as you look through the giant, muggy window and see the people walking by, paying no mind to this wonderful gem of a restaurant. You feel as if there is a two-way mirror separating the outside world from where you stand. Being a small restaurant, as soon as it opens up for business, a cloud of humidity looms throughout the shop for the entirety of the day. You feel relaxed with the rusty orange-and-brown color scheme and hungry for carbs. It’s too late for your diet as the smell of the fattening grease and fried veggies invade your nostrils — the cooks have already acknowledged your arrival. Too late; now you’re hooked. What will it be? A hearty dish of pasta with homemade tomato sauce and a side of bread, drenched in garlic and olive oil? Or a toasted sandwich engorged with meats, veggies, and cheeses? Or a greasy, classic slice of pizza fresh out of the oven, dripping with cheese and their homemade tomato sauce? Don’t bother with the salad — we all know you don’t want that. This is a fantastic restaurant I would recommend to tourists and locals alike who don’t have much to spend but need a good, hot meal to continue through their day. The Harbor House has the perfect amount of seating, which makes dining in the restaurant comfortable and convenient, but the speedy cooks make delivery an excellent option as well. The only problem is parking in relation to their front door. As previously mentioned, there is a plethora of spaces out back but navigating your way to the door can be a bit confusing, particularly after sunset. There are a few parallel spaces on Front Street but they are usually full. If you get lost along the way to the Harbor House of Pizza, what better place to wander through than Front Street?

I’ve always ordered delivery. I’m glad it’s available, and delivery is usually prompt, but the quality is just like most other pizza delivery services. About like Domino’s but not Papa John’s.

Okay Pizza. Don’t go here if you want to use a credit card, or if you have kids(no bathrooms) or if you are averse to décor that hasn’t changed since 1976. I would get the pizza for takeout, but that’s about all it is good for. The guys are nice, but the plasticware is so cheap that you’ll have to use 4 –8 forks because they bend like they are almost made of rubber.
