WallyPark

I received very poor customer service when arriving on a late night flight. I called at 12:09 to be picked up and the shuttle didn’t arrive until 12:50… There was a disgruntled group of about 12 of us with the same issue. I was also told they turn your car on as soon as you call so my car was on for 45 min without being driven.
DO NOT USE FOR LATE NIGHT FLIGHTS

This would be a 1 star rating, but the driver’s superior performance brought it up a star. Once again (my second time with Wally Park O’Hare) it took more than 30 minutes to pay and get in my car and depart. This time the problem was even worse since both the manager (Danielle) and Lakesha were indifferent to the poor service they were providing — they pointed out that they were busy (really? only 6 customers arrived in the time I was there). I called when I had my bags at baggage claim, providing the claim number for my car. I also provided that number to the driver. To checkout we waited for 2 other people (about 5 minutes each — to simply pay!), and then when I said I had a Groupon, the manager informed me that the computer she was using would not work with a Groupon — about 5 minutes later Lakesha showed up to check me out on a different computer. Meanwhile Danielle checked out a customer that was behind me in line. Meanwhile, I informed Danielle that my car was not in the pickup area. Lakesha was unable to use the Groupon, since it was for Milwaukee Wally Park — nice. Then the amount she wanted to charge did not deduct the free day of parking (which was on the reservation, that she apparently could not view). So, I retrieved the printed copy of the reservation and showed her the amount — and I had to point out the line item showing the free day of parking. The price was still about $ 6 higher due to an increase in taxes and the fact that the daily rate was $ 8.25 but the system took $ 9.95 off for the free day. Goofy.
Then, I had to clean the snow and ice off my car. Danielle informed me that they only clean the windshield. However, the car behind me in pickup area had clean side and rear windows. So, they delivered a cold car (since it was retrieved at the last minute instead of shortly after I called), and the staff was nowhere to be found — I would have paid for someone to clean the windows. There were no other customers waiting.
If you have time to waste — and want to pay more than the reservation stipulates — and don’t mind dealing with indifferent people, then Wally Park will be fine for you.

Never again.
I used WallyPark because my usual parking place was full. I made a reservation online, got the confirmation email, and checked it over carefully to make sure I didn’t need to print it to bring with me. Then when I arrived at the parking lot, it was chaos. I had no idea where to go or what to do with my car. I finally found the awning and went inside.
I told the lady my name and the time of my reservation, and she asked to see the printed email. I told her I didn’t know I was supposed to bring the email, but I had a reservation. She told me a few times that I needed a reservation because they were full, and each time I assured her that I did make a reservation. She turned to her computer and opened up her web browser and SEARCHED FOR WALLYPARK IN GOOGLE. This company doesn’t even have their own website bookmarked on their computers! When I realized what a sh*tshow this was, I pulled up the email on my phone and showed it to her. She told me I needed to have it printed out when I came back and then sent me to someone else to get a ticket. I was very nervous handing over my car keys to these people. Then I waited about 10 minutes for a shuttle.
Coming back was only slightly better. I called at baggage claim, like it said to do on the ticket. I was told to go to the bus & shuttle area instead. (Again, a lack of clarity that would be so simple to fix.) I walked down the line of shuttles looking for the right one when I heard someone next to me say «WallyPark?» Apparently the shuttle with «Hampton Inn» on it was WallyPark… I guess I was just supposed to know that.
When I arrived at WallyPark, I ended up waiting in the cold for 15 minutes while they found my car, discovered it was blocked in, and then scraped the ice off. Considering I was there at the exact time that I had told them I would be coming back, you’d think they would be more prepared.
Only pro: snacks

Waited 50 minutes for my car. Very disorganized. It did not seem like they had a handle on the operations. Wish someone would have just taken charge. Will not be going back.

Took my car there in October. While there it was a little disorganized but overall a good experience. When I picked up my car, there was damage to it. I contacted them and couldn’t for the life of me get someone to contact me back about it. Finally I did, and followed the instructions given to me, but have still received no resolution for the damage they did to my car. It’s reprehensible.

Aspects of service at this Wally Park are too poor for me to return. I’ve used them three times over past months and have experienced what I consider to be poor service that is getting worse.
I like the reservation and drop off service. That usually works well and is efficient. I find all aspects of the return to be sub-​par.
I called to notify of my return. A few minutes later I got a phone call from them asking if I was supposed to be returning. I was, and was on schedule.
Wally Park advertises that they run shuttles every 5 – 7 minutes. In each of my 3 experiences it took over 15 minutes to get picked up. Most recently it was a 25 minute wait during a mid-​afternoon time when traffic was very light and service should be swift. After sitting a few more minutes and taking off, the driver diverted to the international terminal for a pickup which added a few more minutes. Then we had to go past Wally Park to the Hampton Inn. Over 35 minutes to their place. Then another ten minute wait for them to bring up my car — despite two phone calls and two radio conversations between driver and base while I was on the van.
Over 45 minutes in total during non-​peak time.

Never again. I gave these guys a try a couple of times. The service to/​from the airport is fine, but the process to pay for your car is ridiculous. Waiting a half hour to pay for your parking is a joke — especially after a long day of traveling and in a relatively short line. The checkout process is manual and ill conceived. Despite calling in your car when you land, they still hunt for manual tickets (you would think they would enter the cars into a computer system) …one at a time… and have guys running around asking you what kind of car you drove. Seriously!!!
Further, both the pick-​up and drop-​off are at the shuttle center. Other competitors at least drop you off at the terminal. If all other parts of this operation were up to expectations, I could overlook this, but its just one more point of annoyance. Our usual remote parking spot has the car running and warmed up when you get to the parking lot and check out is a breeze. I only tried WallyPark because they are a bit closer to the terminals. I’m going back to our old lot — it is simply a much better experience.

We used WallyPark while traveling over Thanksgiving weekend. I reserved a spot several days beforehand. Everything was smooth, from the drop-​off on Thanksgiving morning to the pick-​up Sunday early afternoon. No issues at all. The driver dropping us off was also helpful by advising us to go through security in Terminal 2 if we didn’t have luggage to check. We avoided a huge line and a lot of stress following her advice.

I park here at least once a month. Shuttles are new and clean. I rarely wait for for a pickup and the price is great.
My last pick up driver was Denise. She didn’t even offer to help me with my bag at pick up or drop off. During the drive back to the lot she argued with a couple on the it way to Hampton Inn telling them how dumb airline passengers are. She was incredibly rude, unprofessional and argumentative. They were stuck in Chicago overnight in their way to Florida due to weather and were already frustrated. She couldn’t stop talking about how bad she felt for the airlines and how rude passengers like us are to them.
Big shout out to Rich and Wes! They had the snow off my car and it was warm and ready to go. They were very polite, friendly and professional. I drove away with a smile on my face because of their great service.

I’m done with Wally. Waited almost half an hour for pick up. I saw several of the competitors pass me by as I waited in the cold. One competitor past at least 6 times while I was waiting. Top it off, The driver had the nerve to discuss how cheap people are and she’s not making any tips.
This used to be a great service but not so recently. I travel just about every week. Haven’t seen the same driver twice in the last several months and when you chat with the drivers you find everyone is always new.
Something changed in management and it’s very obvious. The staff is not shy to tell you they dislike their job. Just ask them!

If you are looking to save some bucks on parking at O’Hare, this is a decent option. I have certainly experienced better from other 3^rd party parking options at other airports across the US, but I have no overall complaints.
The good news is that you can make all of your arrangements online through the use of their very simple reservation interface. There are also numerous coupon/​promo codes to be found online that can reduce your cost for outdoor parking with valet to as low as 6 bucks a day, which, let’s face it, for Chicago is an absolute steal. The Chicago parking mafia be damned.
When you pull up to the valet station, you hand them the keys, grab your bags and head inside to a reception area that contains couches, restrooms, coffee, water, soft drinks, and various granola bars too. In my case, the shuttle to take me to the terminals arrived almost immediately, so I did not have time to partake. My shuttle was jam packed with other people in suits who were also quite obviously traveling for business. Our driver was hilarious and very personable. It is not easy to get much of a rise out of a group of execs at 5 AM, but this guy managed.
Upon my return to O’hare, I followed instructions and called the number on the back of my ticket that was given to me when the valet took my vehicle. Where you need to go to catch the shuttle is not marked anywhere at the arrival terminals or baggage claim, which was more than a little confusing initially. After asking a guy at the cab stand, I found out that you need to head over to the staging area directly across the street from the airport Hilton to door number 1. The bright red shuttles that Wally Park uses are impossible to miss, and one arrived to pick me up after about 5 min. or so.
As noted by some other Unilocalers, the shuttle does make a stop at the Hampton Inn prior to heading back to the parking structure, but this was not much of a big deal. This pit stop took maybe 2 – 3 min tops. When I arrived back at the parking structure, an attendant took my bags to load them in the trunk as I went in to pay the bill. Payment processing was handled promptly and I was in my car and out of there in short order.
I will be back.

I have used many parking services and by far this has been the BEST the cleanest and fastest pick up service. Wallypark has won me over this is the only place for me

First time parking at Wally Park, We normally use PreFlight!
The GOOD– New very clean trendy facility, with complementary Continental Breakfast and clean restrooms.
The Bad– We arrived Sept 20, @ 4:03 am at Wally Park Schiller Park. Wally Park claims shuttles to run every 5 – 7 minutes… NOT THE CASE! We stood waiting for a shuttle til 4:58 am, we watched 5 PreFlight shuttles pass us by as we waited for a Glimpse of a Wally Shuttle. They had one driver and a whole lot of people waiting. Our flight was at 6am and lucky for us, we had no issue with TSA, or we would’ve missed the flight. This was very unacceptable and we’ll be parking with PreFlight going forward.

Parked here for 4 days. When picking up, I saw our iPhone car charger was missing from the cigarette lighter outlet, and also a bottle of skin lotion.
Went to manager immediately. She seemed genuinely ‘sad’ but she reminded us on the contract it says «Not responsible for lost or stolen items».
Wow, must be nice to have a license to steal. They can basically take anything they want from cars and just point to their clause in the contract.
I’ll never come here again.

I used WallyPark for several months and really enjoyed it. However, until the end of October, I will not be using them. There are now stops at the Hampton Inn on the way there and back. They tout a ten minute or less ride to the terminals… not anymore with the Hampton Inn stop! I arrived back at 6:30 AM to Ohare and had to rush back to make a meeting at my office. The driver was not allowed to go directly back because she had to keep to the Hampton Inn schedule. All in all, it took a little OVER 30 MINUTES to get back to Wally Park. There is no price reduction for tripling the drive time and the Hampton Inn issue is not disclosed until you find yourself pulled up in front of the Hampton Inn.
Not to mention, someone took my rolling bag to my car, it was raining out heavily. Instead of putting the rolling bag in my trunk which was COMPLETELY EMPTY, they THREW the bag into my back seat, wet and dirty wheels left dark marks all over my WHITE LEATHER car. It did not fit well into the back seat either, so there were marks everywhere. Why not use the trunk? Too lazy I guess.
This business practice they have decided to engage in is dishonest and extremely inconvenient. It’s better to do parking somewhere else in the area.

Wallypark is decent.

Without a reservation, the parking price is a mystery. It is unadvertised so my guess is you should reserve in advance or park someplace else.
Things worth noting :
— The building is bright red so you cannot miss it when heading there.
— the return shuttle is the pits. It stops at Hampton Inn first so the total commute is at least 20 — 30 minutes.
— there is complimentary water and snacks in the lobby.
— there are occasional offers and coupons which reduce the regular charges a good bit.
— Wallypark owns Avistar Parking. They share management. I know because we dealt with the Wallypark folks when the roof collapsed on our vehicle while parked at Avistar.
— each hour over the reserved or planned time is $ 2. This includes any travel time or delays involving their shuttle.

I clearly have not hacked parking at O’Hare. I was a WallyPark loyalist in Southern California, where they provide a magically efficient service, quickly moving you into your space and onto a shuttle and back, getting you to and from the airport in a few stress-​free minutes, and making flying just slightly more pleasant and simple than it otherwise would be. That’s all you can ask from an airport concessionaire.
So I have come to WallyPark Chicago twice, with high hopes that somehow their magic corporate innovation will lead them to provide a similarly life-​improving service here. But alas, the WallyPark Chicago experience is nothing like the WallyPark San Diego experience:
They valet park your car rather than guiding you to a space — which would be fine, if there were a valet ready and waiting when you arrive, but sometimes there isn’t, so drop-​off can be slow.
The shuttle takes you not to your terminal but to a mysterious area called the «bus shuttle center» from which you have to wander, without much signage, to your terminal.
The shuttle also picks you up in the same mysterious area, though it’s even harder to find from the terminals.
On the way back to WallyPark the shuttle also makes a stop at the Hampton Inn. (I gather that this is required for them to be able to use the bus shuttle center; I shudder to think where they’d have to take you if they couldn’t.)
Once you arrive back at WallyPark, the payment process can be a little slow, and it can also take them a while to retrieve your vehicle (even though they theoretically should know you’re coming from back when you called for the shuttle).
Now all of these complaints are minor, and the vast majority of them aren’t really WallyPark’s fault, but rather a consequence of O’Hare regulations and the two-​year planned construction project that should run through the end of 2016. And it may well be that «improving my life a little bit» is an unfair thing to demand from your airport parking experience. But it remains the case that WallyPark Chicago fails to meet the extremely high standards that I’d otherwise grown to love from the WallyPark brand. And if that sounds sad to you, you know I fly too much.
Can I do better? I don’t know. To be honest, my usual solution is to give up and fly out of Midway.

Payment process is terrible:
The people have recently changed from being friendly and quick, to dissapointing and slow. The payment system means it takes about 3 – 4 minutes per person, and if a shuttle drops you off with 5 different people, you have to wait a good 15 minutes before you can even pay.
Car/​Valet service is mediocre at best:
It can take an additional 15 minutes for your car to arrive at the payment location. So I’ve waited 30 minutes after arriving at the lot to get into my car. That’s highly annoying. WallyPark also lost my keys, good thing I had a second pair on me! Finally, one time my battery died there and they didn’t tell me that they jumped it… so when I got home and turned my car off… you guessed it… the car wouldn’t start up. I wish they told me that it was jumped, I would have left my car on for a few hours so that I could charge up.
Food service was great, now it just good:
While at one point, it was great. they had a nice spread (fresh fruit, cookies, beverages etc), the now have granola bars and small waters only. Having anything is better than nothing, so this is still a good perk, but the reviews about good food are no longer valid.
Van Service:
I rarely have to wait, and the drivers are friendly. However, they don’t tell you that now you have to go to the Hampton Inn first which adds on an additional 5 minutes. Normally 5 minutes is ok, but combined with everything else… it just keeps adding on.
Overall:
I recommend taking a taxi rather than parking, or using a more established parking area due to WallyPark’s inability to execute on a good business product.

Pleasantly surprised at how easy this was. I bought a Groupon for $ 5/​day (their regular rate is about $ 7 – 9) and dropped off my car. There was a shuttle waiting upon my arrival, and we left for the airport within five minutes of me dropping off my car.
My return flight was delayed, but WallyPark was very accommodating about keeping my car a day later than the reservation — they said, «no problem.»
Upon arrival at the airport, I called WallyPark and the shuttle was waiting for me by the time I got to the shuttle center. It’s a quick ride back to the lot, and my car was ready when I arrived. Would definitely do this again — it’s much faster than airport parking. And, can’t beat the great Groupon deal!

I was a little skeptical about using Wally Park due to all the mixed reviews on Unilocal but decided to give it a try (due to the GREAT Groupon deal), especially because my flights were departing at 6am and arriving at midnight, I didn’t want to deal with the el.
I was SO impressed and will definitely be using Wally Park again. There was a bus waiting when I arrived at 4:30 am, I hopped right on, and there was one waiting at the Bus Shelter when I got back. When I arrived back at their location, my car was waiting for me already to just hop in and go after I paid.
I do admit that the Bus Shelter isn’t well sign posted, but I would say that’s O’Hare’s fault rather than Wally Park. For those who are concerned about finding it – the Bus Shelter is found on the interior road where you would drive if you were checking into the Hilton. The directions «across from the Hilton» are a little misleading because it makes it sound like it’s on one of the streets where taxis/​cars/​rental car vans pick people up, but it’s not, it’s actually across from the entrance to the hotel, rather than on the side of the airport.
