Needs more swings and older children play equipment. More benches as well. They need to put a bridge in over the drainage ditch, please! Also, police need to patrol this area more. Recently saw drugged out patrons, group of young adults! Not comfortable taking children there!

I came here today for my mommy/daughter day. We played catch, went on the swings, slides, bridges, and rock climbing wall. Thr slides were bigger than I’ve ever seen. The monkey bars actually moved which was cool. Two pavilions one at each playground. Great place to ride bikes, play catch, play frisbee etc.

I love the 4th of July jubilee they have every year. They have a lengthy firework show that is usually a good 50 minutes at least. They also set up a little fair thing and have a stage set up for performers. Around the pavilion there are food stands set up where you can have a taste at anything from corn to funnel cakes. It’s usually pretty organized and law enforcement is wondering around maintaining order. The park itself is nice. It has a few playgrounds and a couple pavilions to host birthday parties or get togethers. It’s always kept clean and I have never seen the trash bins overflow at all. It’s currently under constructions so walkways are being built around the park and I think a new pavilion. Also there is a public swimming pool at the park which is open all summer and is extremely affordable. Overall, I would recommend this park.

I attended a Aguman Capanpangan Fiesta(filipino fiesta). Here it was on Sunday the 13th of October. Upon arriving(1130am it was small yet the space was so big. They were offering free medical checks from university of texas hospitals nursing school and med school students. That was nice my father in law and husband took advantage of a free cholesterol check, vision, blood sugar, & blood pressure. They received a free health organizer when they were finish. I would of went if I didn’t go to the doctor the week before. The food was free. They offered an array of Filipino foods. Their was a dessert table which you had to pay for $ 1 – 2. Which is still not bad. They had $ 1 soda and water. They had games, music & entertainment. Which was nice. At about 2:30 they had a catholic mass at the park.(In Tagalog one if the languages of the Philippines). Plenty of space for the kids to run around. It was fun meeting new people. We stayed till about 5pm when they were announcing the raffle prizes. One of the city counsel members attended the party announcing he needs your vote in November. This is only the 2nd year of this fiesta. I hear it gets bigger and bigger every year. We look forward in attending another future event at this location. Because of the rain we didn’t get to enjoy the park but it was nice to have a large pavilion to keep us dry and enough room for the kids to run around. Great location for outdoor party!
