Buddy & Pal’s Place

This place is for the regulars and friends of the staff only. I literally stood there with money in my hand and the bartenders saw me and completely ignored me. After putting up with that nonsense for about a good 5 minutes we decided to walk out and told the bouncer on the way out what happened. He shrugged and said typical of them and their loss. Don’t waste your time with this place there are plenty of other bars in the area.

I wish I could give 0 stars for this awful place. We came into town to go to 3 Floyd’s. We tried to go to this bar afterwards to play pool. One of the bartenders told me I couldn’t drink because I had a temporary license but that I could stay with everyone to play pool. About 5 minutes later a «security guard» came out and asked us to show ID. I explained the situation and the bartender decided to change her mind. That’s fine-​I get they’re a business and they don’t want to get in trouble. We had to split into 2 Über rides to go back to our hotel. After my car went the cops rolled up to where my fiancé and another couple were waiting for the next car and they were asked why they were loitering at this bar. He explained the situation and asked if the paper license should have been allowed and they confirmed that it should have been accepted. Thanks for making a freaking mount out of a molehill.

Air conditioning is bad… you literally sweat in this hot box. Bartenders don’t push the food from Langels pizza which is connected to this bar, you practically have to flag down the bartender to get an order in. TV’s are nice but they don’t manage sports. Chicago teams always missing, all TV’s on one sport, just not managed. Bartenders are inexperienced «people skill wise», yeah they can make a drink but paying attention to the people that pay the bills is non existent. Service is amazingly bad, plan on sitting like a bump on a log with an empty drink. Poor beer selection on draft. Sound on TV’s when a sport is on is non existent, better be prepared to listen to the jukebox. This could be a great «watering hole» due to poor management, it’s a stop by and have one drink place and move on to a bar that cares…
Disappointing.

Do you wanna get harassed by ignorant, miserable 60 year old regulars? Love getting dirty looks and disrespected by bartenders? Are you a female under the age of 40 looking to get treated poorly because you don’t resemble a lagoon creature?? Then buddy and pals is the place for you!
Went to this place twice and received unnecessary rude treatment by the bartenders and waitresses on both occasions. On my second trip I had a 60 year old woman and her hillbilly husband mouthing «you are a whore» to me across the bar. Super fun. When I informed the manager he seemed slightly concerned until the bartender, Gargantua, decided to professionally and validly put in her 2 cents of «well you’re basically just blaming us». I said something like «you’ve got to be kidding me», left my tip and walked away and right out the doors.
I’ll never go back to this place. If you’re a dude looking to date a super jealous girl you could probably find her here?

Some of the worst bar service. Waited 15 minutes for a beer. Bartender is too busy giving away free drinks to her girlfriends to pay attention to paying customers. Couldn’t even get a second beer so we moved on.

I came here when the place was pretty dead, which was a good thing. The bartenders were not too attentive but they were chatting to each other and probably more to the regulars. We were not there to just have one drink to sip on for a few hours. It did take quite some time to get drinks. That being said, the bartenders were still very friendly. I will check out the place again sometime when it is busier.

Food is great, but that’s Langles Pizza for ya. Always good.
The service, not so much.
I’ve been here about 8 times. I had a good bartender only once, on a Sunday afternoon. Went in recently this past Wednesday, it was cruise night but not busy. The bartender was HORRIBLE. Not only was she rude but she spent all of her time chatting with the waitresses and stuffing her face.
NOT a good thing for business. We likely won’t visit again.

Good beer selection and for me close to home. I go occasionally.

This is the only FRIENDLY club/​bar that I know of in Northwestern IN. Don’t go to Woodhollow on Fridays, screw that place, all stuck up jerks and cover to get in, so not worth it. Saturdays here were always FUN, with GOOD music, they change up the songs too, you don’t hear the same playlists constantly like woodhollow and the other clubs. Also there is no cover, drinks are cheap, and the staff is extremely friendly as are the door personnel. I strongly recommend this if you like hopping clubs. This place does get packed on a sat though and people do dance which is cool.

Great Place to go party. Tons of girls and I would say about 90% of them are open to meeting and chatting with new guys. Girls, there are little to no creeps here.
Bartenders are hott and there is a good ratio of girls to guys here. Definitely the place to go to on Fridays and Saturday nights to flirt with random cute college girls that are looking to PARTY!!! If you are looking for a hook-​up bar in northwest Indiana with white girls, you will find it here.

I Really dont go to bars like this but it was nice better than i expected, okay i was relly surprised i had fun here, we was at cabanas at first and i was floored at this place ready to go to sleep then someone said if you wanna hear music and dance go up the street to buddys overall it was cool not gonna say imma go back next week but in the future it will be and option drinks was good and not that costly and the bartenders was nice no attitudes and the people were fun, Nice Job Buddys! LOL

Liked it a lot, a little packed on the weekends Thurs — Sat but, it’s a great place to party.
I went there at noon one day, ya noon I know… but whatever.
Anyway, I love the fact that they got a window to Bronko’s (eatery next door) and you can put the food from there onto your bar tab. Speaking of Bronko’s I had the Ham and Turkey Club, it was awesome!
It’s definitely worth a check out.
