Downtown Custom Printwear is capable of producing large volume screen printed and embroidered apparel orders for corporations and special events, as well as smaller more personalized projects that require personal communication, such as team uniforms, commemorative t-​shirts and embroidered polos.

Whether you are looking to print 15,000 screen printed shirts for a charity 5k race, or simply looking to outfit your staff in custom embroidered apparel with your company name on it, DCP will work with you «one on one» through the entire process, we have graphic designers on staff ready to personally create whatever designs you come up with. We stock thousands of different clothing options, from hats, t-​shirts and sweatshirts, to high end workwear and outer wear. We also produce yard signs, window vinyl and other forms of commercial signage entirely in house.

History

Established in 2009.

Downtown Custom Printwear began in an attic. Yup, not a garage, not a basement, an attic. After graduating Union College, founder Benjamin Sadler began printing shirts in the attic of his apartment. The greek organizations at Union College and several local clubs and organizations came looking for printing apparel and Downtown Custom Printwear was born.

In January 2009, DCP opened the doors to its first commercial location, which was quickly outgrown. In the Spring of 2010, DCP moved into a state of the art print shop and was able to add more printing presses and embroidery machines.

During the summer of 2014, DCP expanded once again into a much larger 25,000 sq. foot facility to better serve our growing client list and further expand our offerings. We now have a signage department and are able to produce more types of customized merchandise than any other similar businesses in the area.

Business Owner

Our Printmaster General Ben grew up in Cambridge, MA. You’ll notice the Boston accent. He came to the Electric City to go to Union College and stayed after starting a thriving T-​shirt business in his senior year.

The rest is history. Ben eats, sleeps and screen prints. OK, he creates embroidered garments too.
